Ohlawd. I never got into Pokemon and I still don't understand the big craze over it. Not judging, just don't understand it.

*bursts in wildly singing the Pokemon themesong*

*runs around singing*

*dramatically finishes singing then jumps out the window and runs away*

I was already an older teen when Pokemon came out. I'm not a nerd or a geek. I'm a dork. There's a slight difference in that I don't usually fit in with other outcasts. XD So yeah. No pokemon for me. I wish I could get into it though.

Anyone else see that news post on Facebook about the people being drawn to a park for pokemon go and getting robbed? - Or the dude who lives in an old church and for some reason it's been designated as a pokemon training facility lol. So he has rando's hanging around at all hours. >_> I'm just waiting for someone to be playing that game and get hit by a damn car walking across the street.

I totally understand - I know someone who was a little too old when Pokemon came to the U.S. too, and he passively knows of it but never got into it the way I did. I respect that.

I was on the opposite end of the spectrum and a little too young when pokemon came out. I played around with it here and there with neighborhood friends but that was during my kindergarten through first grade days. Now I'm kind of considering getting the app just to see what it is all about. ;)

On the Pokémon bit, I never got into it, but my mom and sis in law were saying how they have heard of both someone being hit by a train and a truck while playing so there you go Ruki.

I have a FB friend who put up a sign for his employees along the lines of "get back to work or you'll really have free time to catch them all."

Or how about the 15 year old who got hit by a car playing Pokemon Go because she crossed a busy highway...Or the car accident caused by someone playing Pokemon

Maybe this would be the time to maybe come up with a fun summer event to do, for people who are around to get involved in? I don't know exactly what that would be but I feel like it could be good.

Pokemon wise or just something for EVers to do? Cause not everyone has pokemon.

I remember last summerI tried to make this big huge art and/or writing contest. There was like 5mil+ evd (pretty sure it was more than that though, might have been more like 10mil), 40 some credits, and countless contributions from artists. It flopped horribly lol

Since most people are out and about, we could do like a scavenger hunt thing and have people post pics of the objectives they find. Nothing that would give away a location of course, and nothing that would require a photo of yourself since some people aren't comfortable with that.

On EV for we people here. I'm not talking about Pokemon anymore - I think we've said enough on that topic. |D I'm getting tired of hearing about it everywhere to be perfectly frank.

A scavenger hunt sounds like a potentially fun idea if details for how it would work could be ironed out. Hmmm.

the two ideas I have for it right now would be either people can complete a list individually, or we could have a big list and everyone tries to complete it before summer ends.

If we did the individual way it would probably work out better with a prize, but as a group it could be more of just a fun thing to do.
