"Why is he soon stubborn though? All I'm doing is trying to help and I mean not harm to anyone ovbsiously" she asked the guard stallion, who was close to the lead stallion of the herd.
"who ever is Hungry follow me!" She led them to a huge patchy area that was full of unthawed harass, it was very closejust about past the huge cedarwood tree and a mile after that. "Here we are you guys a nice fresh patch of unthawed green grass". She was happy that they followed her cause they looked like they havent much in a while, and some of them where close to their due dates, probs in the spring. She sat back a and watched the herd, letting them be the owned to eat and not her since she had already eatten enough for the day.

Rowan
     "That's not for me to tell," said Rico as he walked back over to Rowan. A couple of the mares, and the two stallions stayed behind. "Looks as though your dried off now..." he said, "Y'know that mare is only trying to help...and she seems like she has what it takes to be a lead ma-" he stopped as Rowan cut him off.
     "Agatha is gone because of me! I'm not just going to accept a mare in who has lived with men their whole life. The herd is finally thriving. I'm not going to mess up again." he said snapping at Rico before walking into the snow leaving Rico with a sigh as the couple mares looked at Rico.

Star
Everyone was done grazing for the day, so they walked a mile, finally made it pasted the huge cedarwood tree and were almost back to the cave. When they made it back to the den, she saw no sign of the lead stallion in sight. While everyone got settled back into the den, after grazing. Star trotted up to the guard stallion "Where did the lead stallion go? He suppose to be here watching over the herd right?" She questioned the guard stallion. She couldn't believe that the lead stallion probably stormed off again. She thought to herself: "what kind of stallion leaves their herd by storming off".

Rowan
     “I said something I shouldn’t have, and he needed some space. He’ll be back soon…he doesn’t get much time alone just for himself,” said Rico making sure the herd was all there. “Hey Phoenix! Keep an eye on the herd will ya? I’m gonna go see if I can talk to Rowan that is if I can find him,” he said as he trotted out into the snow. 
     Rowan was by the river as he carefully broke some of the ice along the edge so he can get a drink. The stallion never got to focus or get some alone time for himself. It was always for the herd. “Oh Agatha…what am I supposed to do? My herd is turning to this mare…” he said with a sigh.
     “So that’s another reason why your against her? She’s only trying to help out the herd.” said Rick as he found Rowan. “What ever happened to my friend?” he said.
     “She doesn’t belong out here. I know what’s best for my herd and I don’t need her to keep on telling me what is best or what the herd needs. It’s winter we’re supposed to be on the skinnier side. It’s harder to find food. You saw how the herd turned to her.” He said. Not only was this time of year hard, but it was also close to the time Rowan lost his mate only a year before, and it was a hard time for him.

Star
Star never knew what was going that stallion mind, but star have feelings for him, even though he was stubborn and  a jerk sometimes, stallions are stallions, and will always what they will do best for their herd. 

Everyone was sleeping in the den, but she wasn't. She couldn't sleep a wink that night, cause something was bothering her and she couldn't tell what it was. Was it because she didn't feel welcomed in the herd, even though she wasn't apart of the herd? Or was it completely something else?. She couldnt figure it out. She tried and tried helping the herd, even though she tried doing what was best for them in the long way, she never felt like she did anything right with this herd.

Star finally saw some mares that were talking "Hi I'm Star, Can I join you guys?" She asked the two mares.
Mares
"Sure why not, were are tallking about the herd and how everything you have done for us, and that we appreciated it". They smiled with a big grin on there face.

Rowan
     Rowan returned to the herd after some time as Rico followed behind keeping quiet. The herd knew he was going through a hard time right now, and wished there was something they could do. One of the mares soon to be in foal stepped up to Rowan, "We know it's a hard time for you right now, but we miss her too. You can't take this time to be rude to others when we need you. We all need you now more than ever." she said before walking off to some of the other mares. The mare, Nyx, was born in the herd as Rowan was her father.

Star
Star kinda laid alone in the corner of the den after returning from talking to the mares that where outside. She was getting sleepy enough, where she laid her head down on the warm den ground and started to close her eyes, but as soon she started to close her eyes she felt something approach her.

Star Looked to find Rowan in front of her, she was curious about what he was doing near her, even though he made it clearly he didn't like her. " Can I help you Rowan?" She asked the lead stallion curiously. She got up from laying and stretches her hind legs making them feel much better after laying down for so long while sleeping.

Rowan
     Rowan just walked outside to get some air. "I'm just trying to clear my head," he said ignoring the fact she knew his name. The stallion gave a sigh, and walked a bit further outside as the snow fell on his coat. Nyx stepped to the entrance of the cave watching Rowan, her father. The mare was closest to foaling, and was Rico's mate. "I'm worried about him..." she said with a sigh as Rico walked up along side her.
     "I know. We all are, but there isn't much of anything we can do. He's just grieving..." he said trying to comfort Nyx as he nuzzled her. Though he was worried for another reason. Nyx was close to foaling, and could foal pretty much at any time. The problem was, where? There was too much snow to search for a good place, and there wasn't even room in the cave, or privacy and comfort. 

Star
Star gives him spaces and walks past the den and farther in the forest, not leaving a track behind on where she went. Her coat was full of snow, but she wasn't cold at all. She was used to the cold by now with her thicker winter coat, like a normal wild horse has. 

She went to take a walk and came back to the den. She noticed that one of the mares, who goes by the nyx was close to foaling, and where was no room in the cave for her to have the foal. So off she went again to find a place for her to foal in privacy & comfort. Just about an hour after searching she think she had found a great spot of her to foal. Hopefully they would appeccted her help. 

She returns with some good news "Hi, I know you don't know me well enough, but I can see you are close to foaling soon, and I noticed that the den there isn't much privacy nor comfort, so I went searching for a place and I think i might of found one for you to have your foal in". She said the gorgeous mare who was almost due at any time.

Nyx
     "I know, but there has to be something I can do to get his mind off of her..." she said nuzzling Rico back. The mare then walked forward to her father nuzzling him, "I know this time is...hard for you..." she begun, "But she wouldn't want to see you like this. Agatha is proud of her no matter what. What happened last winter was not your fault." she said trying to comfort him. "Just make sure your ok, and to talk to the others if you need it..." she said before turning away as the mare confronted her. Nyx looked at Rico and the cave, "I guess I have been worried about it..." she said as Rico gave a small nod.

Star
"Would you like to see it? Its not that far from the cave here" she asked Nyx & Rico. Only then when she was waiting for an answer she looked at the leads stallion and seen how sad he looked. But she deicide to not approach him since he needed the space. After she heard an answer from them she led then to a small, but large enough cave that had privacy and comfort for both Nyx & the unborn foal. "So what do u think of it? I honestly thought you would like this one to be honestly" she said to the mare.

Nyx
     "It wouldn't hurt," she said as her and Rico followed the mare. It did seem to be a good enough spot, but Nyx was always worried about when it was time. This was her first time having a foal, which made her a maiden mare. "I think it'll work..." she said, "Thanks...though it's getting late, we should head back." she said starting to turn back around and head back the same direction they came from. 
     "Where did you go off to?" asked Rowan once they returned to the herd. Rowan was doing better than he was a bit before, but it was only by a little. The stallion had looked at the other mare. Nyx was the only daughter he had left in his herd as the rest had moved to other herds, so he made sure she was always safe. 
     "We just looked for a place for when the foal comes. It'll be any day by now..." she said a bit terrified as she nuzzled her father.
     "You'll do fine my daughter." he said nuzzling her in return. "As for you I think it's time we talked." he said as his daughter and Rico walked away, and he looked at the mare.

Star
Star was kinda of frightened a bit  when he said that "if its something. I'm sorry, I never intend to over step boundaries, if I did. I was only trying to help out and meant no harm to you or your herd". 
She pawed at the ground waiting for him to talk about what he wanted to talk about. Something seem off about him though. He never said much to her, as is.

Rowan
     "Stop. There is a reason on why I don't have...a lead mare." he said with a sigh, "A year ago my mate...Agatha...had passed due to a mistake I made. It has been a long and rough year as I got myself back together, but it's hard right now for me and herd." he said looking back at his daughter for a moment. "I have been harsh on you, but it's for several reasons. Most horses that come out here after escaping men, went back to them after only a matter of days. You may think it's easier than it looks, but it's not. Let's just say I don't like those who come out here from men." he paused for a moment with a sigh, "My herd seems to be turning to you for help instead of me." he said.  "I have never seen that man abuse any of the horses there, so why did you really escape?" he said standing tall.

Star
Star was trying to find her words and thoughts on hpw to explain this situation " Look, you might think you all what gpes on in that stables, but you don't. My owner wife died a few months ago, and instead of him talking his furstation out on something else, he took it out on me, because I was her horse.... He would always hit me and horrible things to me. When it came time to show jump her had to make sure I looked nice and have no marks".

Star kept on going " Then the day you showed up at the stables that one day. Finally gave me the courage to do what I was longing to do. And if u don't want me to help anymore or be around anymore then say then rather then be a snotty stallion about it". She pawed at the ground.
