     "I have no idea. That human thought it was a good idea to ride me. We didn't go fast and I didn't get to do anything about it! I just trotted along like a good little filly. It was seriously annoying. I have no idea who these humans think they are. Sometimes it feels like they think they're above us, but we all know that's not true" She snorted and stomped her hoof impatiently. She looked at Diva and managed to calm down significantly. "Yeah, I suppose you're right. But don't worry, you'll be able to as you please soon, and it'll be wonderful, just you wait!" Her mood seemed to have completely changed. 

     Diva let Snow say what she needed to. Her attention went somewhere else when she heard something outside the stable. It was a truck and trailer Diva recognized. Instantly her ears were pinned straight to her neck as flat as can be. Her temper quickly changed to what it was before she met Snow, and Vinn.

     Snow snapped out of her own little world and turned her attention to Diva. "Hey Diva, are you alright? You don't look so well" She pointed out. Her ears twitched at the sound of a truck driving nearby. She tilted her head curiously and tried to get a look outside the stable. 

     "I recognize that truck and trailer any day. My old owner has that same old beat up truck and trailer," she said getting a bit more angry pawing the ground. "I don't know why he's here, but he's not taking me. He should lay a hand on a horse," she snorted loudly and angrily. Diva hated him, and there was no way she would go with him.

     “Relax Diva... maybe he is coming to drop off some old saddles. Aliana and even Nia would never let him take you back. Snow and I will make sure of it. Besides- you are priceless right now, all the attention you are bringing in, after that race and the accident. Aliana wouldn’t sell you for less than 100 grand right now, and judging by that truck, I don’t think he has 10.” Vinn hated that she had to bring up price tags, but it was the only rational way to calm Diva down. If she got excited she could split open the mending leg, and that would just be another few weeks longer of pain. Even after Vinn’s point in the situation, she wanted to keep a close eye on that man. She knew how much it meant.

     "We've been here for how long? He's not here to drop off-" she was cut off when the man got out of the truck. It really was him. She held her head high in the air rearing only a little here and there. "I don't know why he's here, but I need to find out!" her tone was now angry, "That man should never be around a horse let alone see a horse."

 Vinn snapped, “Diva- chill, we’ll figure this out. Lay down in your stall, maybe he doesn’t even know you are here.” “Now.”  Vinn watched as the man slowly wandered up toward the barn, like he was looking for someone to talk to. Vinn whinnied and Nia came out of the nearby tack room, and went to greet the man. Vinn watched him avidly, and only looked away to make sure Diva had laid down

     Diva snorted before doing so. She laid down in her stall even though she wanted to nip him in the butt. There's so many things she wanted to do to that man. Why is he here? she kept asking. She gave a snort when she heard Nia greet the man. The filly didn't want to hide. She wanted to face him. Diva pinned her ears even more when she heard the man speak.

     Snow watched Nia and the man interact. She could see now how much this man had messed Diva up and it angered her. Snow looked down at her stall latch and saw that it had been changed along with Vinn's stall when the maintenance had arrived a few days prior. Come on, now's not the right time, she thought as she nudged at the door. When it wouldn't budge, she resorted to trying to kick it as quitely as she could so the man outside wouldn't hear. 

     Diva looked up at Snow noticing what she was doing. "Snow please just stop, if you do get loose he'll hurt you too," she said not wanting that to happen. "I've done that before," she said as she relived her past. Diva wanted to get up, but stayed down not wanting to anger Vinn anymore than what she already was.

     Snow stopped momentarily and glanced at Diva. "Ha, I'd like to see him try!" She snorted loudly, giving up a small rear. "I'll kick him into tomorrow if he steps a foot near us" She looked outside the stable at the man. 

     "Don't be so cocky. You don't know him like I do Snow. What are they talking about?," she asked firmly. The filly didn't want her to go through what she did. She never wanted to see another horse go through that. Especially one she cared about. "Calm down your drawing attention," she added.

     “Diva is right, stay quiet Snow... There’s a chance he doesn’t know Diva is here...” Vinn listened in on the conversation as well as she could, straining to hear what was being said- unfortunately, Vinn didn’t understand the butt of it. She picked up certain words, like, “horse, my,” and “you have.” Out of order, they made no sense to her. Nia didn’t seem too like his tone though, and that angered Vinn. Vinn took a look at the lock, lifted up the door, and pushed it open. “It’s a lifting latch, Snow-“ Vinn said quietly. “Sweet.” Vinn took off at a canter toward Nia, picking up speed and causing a scene. Vinn didn’t like that Nia was angered, and Vinn needed to be there for her. She stopped short in the mans face and snorted, giving him the full of it. 

     Diva stood up, "Vinn no! Stop!" she exclaimed. She froze as her eyes met the eyes of the man. She didn't know what to do. All of her old memories flashed in and out of her head. 
One ear perked and saw Alaina running over. Before Alaina could reach the stable the man was trying to lead Diva out of her stall. 

     Vinn stood in the way between the man and Diva’s now opened stall, debating whether she should knock him down or let Aliana handle him. She aggressively nudged him away with her head, keeping him backed up against the opposite stall walls until grooms and staff could reach him. Vinn was not about to let this man ruin Diva’s whole life, and get rid of the progress she had made.
