     Snow quickly followed Vinn's movement and unlocked her stall. She rushed to stand beside Diva and reared up at the man. She wasn't afraid to bite, and that's exactly what she did. She snapped at the man, trying to drive him back. "You're not laying a hand on her you filthy pest!" She neighed, rearing up again. "Learn your place! I think it's about time you realized you've done enough to harm Diva. Run away. Crawl back to your dumpster and perhaps I'll show some mercy" Snow knew the man had no idea what she was saying, but she hoped he understood it wasn't an empty threat. If it came to it, Snow would just have to kick him as many times as she'd have to. 

     Diva stood there not knowing what to do. Fight or flight? She didn't know. The filly stood frightened as she watched Snow and Vinn hold him off. The second he got back up Diva ran. Injured leg or not. She wasn't spooked, but she just had to get away. Diva slid to a complete stop before she ran into the beat up rusty truck and trailer. She turned and continued. Once Diva thought she was far enough she stopped. Diva was still at the stables, but tried to hide. She looked around frantically to make sure he didn't follow. She kept her leg up since she shouldn't of ran. It did feel good to feel the wind in her mane, but not like this. Not when she wasn't healed. Not when her future was on the line.

     Snow whinnied loudly as Diva ran out the stable. "Diva, where are you going?!" She called out. She saw the man trying to chase after her. She got in his way, blocking the entrance of the stable, and reared up, forcing him to take a few steps back. She ignored the amount of curses the man spout at her and tried to keep an eye on where Diva was going. After Diva ran out of her view, though, Snow returned to looking down at the angry man. "Alright, I don't know who you think you are, but you've no right to be here. I'm pretty sure this is considered trespassing and you could get in serious trouble. I suggest you take your leave and never show your face around here if you know what's best for you." 

     Diva didn't stop to answer Snow when she bolt off. When Diva stopped, and looked around, she walked around. Because of her running, she couldn't put any pressure on her leg. Back at square one. Once she felt safe, well safer, she walked around slowly. Awhile after Diva stopped seeing vehicles pulling up with lights.

     Snow saw flashing lights. She didn't know what they were but she expected some sort of reinforcement. Maybe there's someone here to take this creep away, the thought satisfied her. She took a quick glance behind her but didn't see much of anything except for a few grooms and trainers whispering to each other. Some tried approaching the man but they couldn't get past the Arabian filly that was blocking the entrance. "Ha, you're in trouble now" She nickered. I hope....

     Diva stood by the auction and sales arena watching as the vehicles quickly went to the barn. She was still frightened when she heard Charlotte's footsteps. The lead rope was still attached to her halter when Charlotte carefully grabbed it, "Easy girl, it's OK. We won't let anyone take you, especially that man." she said trying to calm them. Diva calmed, and Charlotte slowly led her back. 
     By the time the two reached the barn, the man was being held by other men wearing what seemed to be uniforms. Something inside of Diva happened when she knew that man would never be around a horse again. Diva looked at Snow and Vinn and smiled gratefully. There was just one problem. Diva will now have a longer recovery.

     Vinn snorted as the pair of officers restrained the man, and stamped her hooves. “Finally, get this guy out of here- good greif.” Vinn whipped her head around when Diva walked back in the barn, noticing her swollen leg. Vinn shook her head, why did you run? You were safe, we had him... Vinn stopped herself short, realizing how scared she must have been. Vinn looked at Snow with a blank face, not sure what to think. A few more grooms were brave enough to venture into the barn and lead Vinn back into her stall, and Vinn waited patiently for someone to say something.

     Diva knew what Vinn was thinking. Though she said nothing, still shaken up, and tried her best to show a blank face. Charlotte led Diva back into her stall after placing an ice boot on her leg. Once she was in her stall Diva didn't eat, drink, talk, or look at the others. Diva faced the opposite way in her stall. It was as if the filly wasn't there. She was stuck in her head. Stuck in her past as if she was reliving her old home. Why did he come for me? she tried to think.

     Snow had been taken into her stall and given a few good pats by a groom. She didn't say anything, deciding that keeping quiet might be the best option right now. She was a bit shaken up from the whole ordeal. She'd acted all confident and in control of the situation but in all honesty, the man kinda scared her. She was just glad he was taken away and Diva was okay. Well, kind of... She glanced down at Diva's swollen leg which had been covered with an ice boot. She knew Diva was scared of her past owner, but it was a horrible idea to run off in her condition. 

     Diva could tell Snow was looking at her leg, but she didn't care. She was blinded by her past which had her choose the wrong thing to do. She was still a bit shaken up, but she was glad no other horse would be near that man. She felt relieved knowing no other horse would go through what she did with him. Suddenly the filly figured out why the man came for her.

     Snow was absolutely exhausted from the events of earlier, and still quite shaken up. She'd eaten a large mouthful of hay and took a drink of her water, and she was now settling in a comfortable position in the corner of her stall, huddling up to go to go to sleep. 

     Diva turner around in her stall. She stuck her head out, and looked at the stable entrance. The filly could see some people wondering what had happened. That's when she confirmed her thought about him coming back for her. Diva waited until the next day to tell the others.

     Vinn quickly dusted off the situation- her part of it anyways. She could tell Diva and Snow were other places still though, so she didn’t say much. After everything was back under control, some grooms came by to feed the horses, so Vinn entertained herself with that. “Oh hey, I can open the door now... how did I not notice it was a lift latch before?” Vinn talked to herself, rambling and such. When she finally bored of that, she peeked her head back out of her stall to see how the others were.

     Diva looked at Vinn as she turned around. She had figured it all out, "I know why my old owner came back for me," she said pausing before continuing,"He must of heard about my race and the accident. Along with that all the attention I was getting. You saw that truck and trailer. He doesn't have any money. I was bought from him, but with all the attention I've been getting he must of realized I could make him the money he needs. It all ties in together doesn't it?" she spoke in a tone Diva had never spoke in before. It wasn't rude, happy, or anything, but it was as if she was in a different mood. One too hard to explain.

     Snow only tapped in to the conversation when Diva said she knew why her old owner came back for her. She listened intently but didn't say anything. After a while of silence, she turned to look at Diva. "Well, he's been taken away for good, and he won't be bothering us anymore. You're safe now, Diva" She said.
