Rulers of the Savanna pt. 2 RP

Soon Vitani awoke from her slumber, yawning and looking over at Marzipan. She purred, placing a paw on his head and purring softly. "Good morning." She sweetly whispered into his ear. I laid a tender kiss on his cheek, wondering if he'd wake up or sleep in.

Marzipan snored gently, tired from yesterdays activities, but very happy. He didn't know that when the sun rose yesterday morning, that night, he would go to sleep with his mate. He smiled as he dreamed, about what happened when he, and Zuberi rescued Vitani from that rogue. He didn't know that she was Vitani, just assumed it was a lioness looking for a pride, and was simply doing his duty to protect her.

Vitani decided to let him sleep, but wanted to rinse off. She carefully crawled out from under him, standing up and trotting over to the waterfall. Quickly she vanished into the water, letting her coat become soaked. She was bubbling with happiness, by recalling the entire events of yesterday

"Where were you last night Vitani?" Tali looked at her with curiosity. She was wearing a lovely flower crown, with the bright pink hibiscus as the centerpiece, and was just putting the finishing touches on another one with a purple hibiscus in the middle. "I saved you some zebra, but you never came to eat. The huntresses caught a big lame guy last night and man was he delicious!!!"

The other lionesses were just coming down the trail to the pool, tired, stuffed from their meal, and cleaning all the dried blood, bits of meat, and other nasty stuff off their pelts with their scented oils and the fresh mountain water.

"Let's just say I was visiting an old friend." She smiled, figuring the lioness might not understand why she was with Marzipan. Vitani didn't bother to bathe, since she had done that last night.

"Uh okay. Here! I made this for you." Tali purred, holding out the flower crown with the purple hibiscus to Vitani.

Kacy came down with Moyo and their cubs behind them. HJ proudly bearing the crown of his name sake, King Herex of Africa, for it was time. Cali and Valido followed close behind, came up to their daughter, who looked up with a little fright, saw the seriousness in their faces, sighed, and got up. "I will do what is required of me, but I don't know if I'll ever love HJ more than a friend." Tali looked at HJ, who smiled sweetly at her, and nodded. "I won't force you to love me Tali, but you must know this. I have loved you ever since I first was introduced to you, and swore to protect you for life. Please, I respect your feelings, but this is tradition, and it would be against the law to refuse your duty." Tali smiled at Herex Jr. and gave him a hug. "Thank you HJ. You are so sweet." The rest of the pride quickly gathered, for this was the young betrothed couple's favorite place to hang out, and the wedding would take place here. Marzipan heard the call to order from his Aunt, gasped, and sneaked out from his secret den; thankfully nobody saw him, walked over to Vitani, and sat at attention. Whisper and Stormfly held a flower arch they had put together over the two young future ruler's heads as their parents gave them their blessing, then the two put their heads close together, and kissed deeply. HJ was enjoying it, while Tali looked a little nervous, but as time flew by, she relaxed, and enjoyed his closeness. A feeling of more than like was starting to form in her and she realized this felt perfectly right.

Vitani politely took the crown, sitting down beside Marzipan and looking up at the ceremony. She felt sorry but yet happy for Tali. I knew she didn't love him, but I also knew she might one day. I leaned slightly against Marzipan, glancing at him with her sweet and beautiful eyes.

Marzipan eyed her from the corner of his eye and gave her a secret smile. Stormfly couldn't help but notice and lost her happy smile after the happy couple (HJ and Tali) walked off to their secret spot to spend the rest of the day together. She had a huge crush on Marzipan for quite a while and instantly knew that he had become mates with Vitani. She excused herself, gasping for breath once she got into a small cave, and then growled. "No fair........ I only met her once, when we were cubs, then she left, I thought for sure I had a chance with him, and then she comes back; leaving me in the cold and she gets Marzipan." A voice startled her, "Heh, you ain't the only one to lose the love of your life." Munar came out of the shadows, having NOT gone to the ceremony, and snapped.

(Could you play Munar? He's like Scar, but more whiny like Nuka)

(Tali. He's whiny about not even having a chance of being King and then not even being able to be mates with Tali. Let's just say, Tali likes HJ A LOT more than she ever liked Munar. Besides the fact that he always badmouthed him.)

Stormfly growled at him, "Leave me alone Munar. You act like you're not important what with all your whining, fussing, grumping, and complaining about how unfair life is to you. At least you got a mother AND a father. My dad got killed by rogues, before my sister, and I were even born!!!" She turned her back on him and stared out the cave entrance.

"But you didn't have to be shoved out of everything.!" He argued walking closer to her and noticing how pretty she was. "But I know how we could make them jealous..." he spoke mischievously.

Stormfly snarled at him, "I said, LEAVE ME ALONE." She refused to talk to him and stalked out. Whisper stared at her angry sister, growled, and went into the cave to see who made her so made. She saw a male inside and glared at his silhouette. "Who do you think you are making my sister so mad?????"

"I'm Munar!" He rasped, snatching Whisper into his paws and carrying her into the very back of the cave. He was going yo keep her for his own, or bait.

Whisper snarled and tried to shove him off her. "Get your paws off me Munar!!! You are not acting like the son of Queen Kacy and Prince Moyo. You are the grandson of King Kunar for heavens sake!!!! Act like it and let me go!!!"
