Outlaw
She pointed to the sink outside the bunkhouse door. "There's a bucket of water next to it." She told him. She turned to Sandy, who stood in the barn doorway. "Might as well come claim a bunk and get something to eat." She said, turning and heading to the bunkhouse. She entered and went on through to the kitchen, pausing in the doorway to watch Edelweiss as she admired her new hair ribbon in the mirror. "Any food left, lass?" She asked gently. Edelweiss whirled around with a start, red hair swinging, then seeing it was only Outlaw began to scold her heartily for sneaking up on her again, her Irish anger building as Outlaw simply went and poured herself a cup of coffee, well used to the lashings Edelweiss's sharp tongue often gave her. Edelweiss planted her hands on her hips, glaring at the tall figure who now stood, back to her, sipping coffee. "Turn around and quit ignoring me right now Outlaw!" She exclaimed. Outlaw turned and looked at her with a bland face. "Yes ma'am?" She questioned the young girl, who was now glaring daggers at her. Edelweiss huffed, her anger cooling. "Why are you asking about food? Are you finally gonna eat the amount you're supposed to?" She asked. "Nope. New hand. He'll probably be hungry." Outlaw said as she sat down at the table with her coffee. Edelweiss bustled about reheating the food.

Walt
Walt and Cherry left the tavern, mounted their horses, and followed the bartender's instructions. While they weren't very specific, the pair found the right ranch after a few stops to ask for directions (demanded by Cherry, much to her brother's chagrin). They stopped momentarily by the sign, taking in the view. "Picturesque," Cherry commented, nudging her mount forward. "I do like it," Walt replied, hastily following his sister.

Outlaw
She glanced out the window, seeing two people approaching, and swiftly stood and went out of the kitchen and exited the bunkhouse, stepping off the porch and striding out til several feet from the buildings, where she stood waiting, sipping her coffee with one hand, the other hand lazily dangling near her gun.

Johnny
Johnny placed his stuff on his bunk, offering Sandy another smile when he came in before going out and dunking his head into the bucket. He glanced around before quickly pulling off his shirt and soaking it to wash with. He kept one eye out the entire time for people. He hated people seeing his body. He wasn't hot and muscular like other guys, and he felt extremely insecure. The scars he got at his last job didn't help, either. He cleaned up the sores from his rope and scrubbed his feet off before brushing them on the inside of his pants to dry them. Johnny scanned his feet for any cuts or scrapes now the they were clean and found nothing too bad.

Kitty
She stepped through the swinging saloon doors and walked back to her tired horse who's white patches looked more pink than white due to the sweat that dampened the hair. The tri-colored mare gave a weary nicker as her rider approached, ears low enough to indicate that she'd had enough for one day and the heat wasn't helping. Kitty rubbed the swirl right under the mare's forelock. The mare let out a contented sigh. Kitty smiled. This horse was the one thing that had survived the....She cut off the thought, and as quick as it had come, it was gone again. She walked to the side of her horse and started to loosen the girth to allow the mare to breathe more freely, when she heard some men talking by their horses in hushed voices. The eavesdropper in her got the best of her once more, and she slowly leaned in. As she quietly undid the loose knot the reins were in she heard one of them say, "Listen Joe, brush fires happen all the time. It's wouldn't be too hard to believe if the Lightning Bar were just a happenstance-and convenient-victim of one of them." She saw the man's scarred face attempt a grin that ended up looking more like a grimace. The other man, Joe, she presumed, gave a mumbled and cautious answer that she couldn't quite make out. They both looked quite angry. More banter happened that was indecipherable, interspersed with laughs that didn't quite sit right with Kitty. The two men untied their horses and headed out of town, in the opposite direction of the Lightning Bar, Kitty noticed based on what she had gathered from the patrons' conversations about its whereabouts. As they passed her, she heard one of them say, "That new foreman will learn to not shoot at us like that ever again." This was, of course, accompanied by a snicker and something about that depending on the survival of the person mentioned. It was all Kitty need to hear. Instead of loosening the girth, she tightened it more and hopped on the back of her reluctant steed. She muttered angrily under her breath as the dress got caught on the horn of the saddle. She tore it free and spurred the mare on in the direction--she hoped--of the Lighting Bar ranch.

Johnny
Johnny quickly rung out his shirt and threw it on as he noticed two new people. He hung back as Outlaw came out of the bunkhouse.

Walt
Walt and Cherry stopped their horses a few feet away from the woman. "Hello," Walt said. "I was told you were hiring?"

"Yes ma'am," Walt replied. "Don't like to if I don't have to, but I can."

Kitty
Her hair whipped her face as she and her horse flew over the ground, the mare's hooves barely touching the ground as they galloped. Slowly, the amorphous shadow on the horizon began to take shape as they neared the ranch. Kitty breathed a sigh of relief as she read the sign that said, "Lightning Bar Ranch." She spurred the mare on on the last couple of lengths, barely pulling her to a halt before coming face to face with who she presumed was the new foreman. Not paying attention to the man and woman she had met earlier, she spoke to the woman who had an air of authority about her. "I just overheard some hands from Bar 7 talking about leaving this place nothing but ash. Now I don't know ye' ma'am, but I don't believe in just bein a bystander to something as surus as arsen." She held her breath as she waited for a response

Outlaw
She snapped her attention to the girl that came riding up, listening silently to her words. "Thank ye fer the warning, ma'am." She replied, glancing at the sweaty mare the girl rode. "You can rest your horse first if you want." She added, then spun back to the man. "Throw your stuff in the bunkhouse, horses in an empty corral. I'll tell ya more later." She told him swiftly while moving with long strides to the corrals, grabbing a halter off the fence and catching up her 18hh black mare and leading her out, her mind working swiftly as to the most logical place to start a fire all the while. "The hay meadow.." she mumbled under her breath to herself, ground tying the mare and dashing into the bunkhouse. She re-emerged from it with both her rifle and shotgun, the rifle in a sling over her shoulders, the shotgun in her hand, and leaped nimbly onto the mare bareback. She held the prancing mare back long enough to swiftly give an order of; "Johnny, Sandy, grab water from the well and start watering down the buildings case I can't stop em in time." before loosening the reins and giving the mare a solid nudge. The black was well rested and eager, and the two flew out of the yard in a flurry of hooves and cloud of dust.
Sandy
He waited only long enough to hear Outlaw's order then ran for the well and grabbed two buckets from the stack next to it, swiftly filling them and running to start dousing down the main house.
Edelweiss
She came running out of the bunkhouse from the kitchen window where she'd been listening, lifting her dark blue dress slightly so as to not trip over it, and ran to the well where she grabbed two buckets and filled them as well before carrying them as fast as she could to the main house to help the hand already there in dousing it.

Walt
Walt nodded and quickly dismounted, though he waited until Cherry was on the ground as well. "You're okay?" he asked anxiously, always worried about her wellbeing. "I'm fine," Cherry replied, waving him off. She took his horse's reins from him, and Walt grabbed his saddlebags from his mare and headed toward the bunkhouse. Cherry started for the corrals.

Johnny
Johnny was startled by how quickly the mood over the ranch had changed. He stumbled over himself before regaining his balance and running to help.

Outlaw
She sat easily on the mare, watching for fire or a group of horsemen as the mare galloped along at a rapid pace. She spotted a group of horsemen on the hay field as she drew near, as well as seeing the Bar 7 brand on their horses. She aimed the mare directly at the group, then dropped the reins onto the big horse's neck, getting the shotgun into aim at the group. There was a startled yell from the group, and the men raced for their horses and took off back towards the Bar 7 range. She reined Phantom to a sliding stop and dropped to the ground, sending a load of buckshot after them and being rewarded with seeing several of them grab the horn to keep from falling off as the buckshot spread and hit some of them. She then dropped the shotgun and quickly ran to tamp out the small flames with her boots and hands. She straightened and gave a small breath of relief as she walked back to the mare, picking her shotgun back up on her way. "Good gal Phantom. Coulda been bad." She murmured to the horse, scratching her underneath her long black mane before swinging back onto her back. She left the reins on the mare's neck, letting her turn back to the ranch and move into an easy lope while she reloaded the shotgun and studied the slight burns on her hands.
Sandy
He glanced up as a shapely girl with long red hair appeared besides him with buckets of water to help dampen down the buildings, even though they wouldn't burn easy being as they where made of stone.
