Cherry
Cherry, surprised that people didn't avoid the pair like they did in other places, turned to nod a greeting. Poor Walt almost jumped out of his chair and now looked as if he'd like nothing better than to hide under the table to Cherry, although she knew him well and the girl probably wouldn't notice. "Yes, indeed," she replied. "This is Walt Evans, my brother. I'm Cherr- Charlotte."

Outlaw
She undid the saddle and breastcollar then slipped it all off and brought it into the tack room, staying as quiet as she could to avoid waking Johnny. She walked back out and turned Wolf back out after obliging his request for pets, then slung his hackamore over the fence and leaned against it. She rolled a smoke and lit it, then rubbed her eyes slightly. She would need to take a canteen of coffee when she rode out this night to keep an eye on the cows. She glanced at the dusty trail leading to the ranch, seeing dust rising from someone riding it. "One person by the dust" she mumbled to herself, watching with sharp eyes. As the rider got closer she recognized the man who'd inquired about a job in town and took in his horse and the packhorse he was leading, as well as the worn guns in their holsters. He's got the bark on. She correctly pegged him.

Johnny
Johnny signed as he came back into consciousness. He had hoped that he could sleep for a while now that he had at least a semi permanent place to stay, but he still had the nighttime to sleep. He got up and brushed a couple pieces of hay off himself, then walked to the barn doors and looked outside. He shielded his eyes as he glanced up at the sun. He hadn't been asleep too long (as he had guessed), but it was a decent length nap. He stifled a yawn and caught sight of Outlaw a while a ways away. He quickly straightened himself up not sure how she'd react if she knew he'd been sleeping in her barn. He headed up to her and noticed someone riding up.

"Nice t'meet'cha two! I'm guessing by your accents that you're from across the pond, eh?"

She took the smoke from her lips and dropped it into the dust, grounding it in with her boot to make sure it was out. She glanced at Johnny, faint amusement in her eyes. "Nice nap? You still have hay in you're hair by the way." She said with a slight grin. She turned her attention back the man riding up, who now stopped a 10 feet from her and swung down from his muscled bay gelding.

Johnny
Johnny's eye widened and he tried to comb through his hair, only succeeding in messing it up more.

Walt
"Aye, miss," Walt replied, taking a subtle cue from his sister to carry on the conversation. "Near Salisbury."

Kitty
"That's pretty cool. My uncle told me we had some family from around there before they crossed the pond themselves," she said, a faint melancholy undertone in her voice at the mention of her uncle and family. Visibly trying to forget something, she continued, "I'm actually new to town myself. Just got hired here right about the time you folks walked in."

Outlaw
A ghost of a grin flickered across her face at Johnny's unsuccessful attempt to fix his hair, then she turned her attention back to the man now walking towards her. "Sandy." The man said, offering his hand. "You said to come along about a job in town." She took his hand and they shook, then she dropped her hand to hand easily near her guns. "I did at that. Glad to have ya. That there's Johnny. Red's ranch owner, I'm foreman. Edelweiss is our cook. You can put your stuff in any empty bunk in the bunkhouse, horses in there." She told him, nodding to the corral next to the one she'd put Johnny's horses in. As he led his horses to the corral she'd motioned to she turned to Johnny. "By the way Johnny, those are the horses you can ride for now." She told him, nodding to the black paint mare, bay gelding, and sorrel overo gelding in one of the corrals.

Johnny
Johnny gave a small wave to the man when Outlaw introduced him. As Sandy headed off to the bunkhouse, Johnny turned to look at the horse. "I can ride any of them?" He was still amazed that he was allowed a horse, let alone three.

Cherry
Cherry noticed how the girl's demeanor seemed to darken for a moment, but didn't comment. Poor thing. "Good for you. We'll be looking for work ourselves," she said instead. "Think we'll stay here awhile.

Outlaw
She saw the amazement on his face, and guessed the reason. "Yep. It's a big range here, and not enough hands, so we'll be putting in some hard riding, too hard for one horse. With you're string of three you can ride one one day, then the second the next day, then the third the third day, then get back to the first horse and start over. It'll keep you're horses from getting too tired." She explained to him. "The saddles and bridles are in the tack room in the barn. You can pick any of em that fit you and you're horses that ain't in group labelled 'Outlaw'. Them's are mine." She paused to study him. "You gotta lasso, or you need one of em too?"

Sandy
He listened to the conversation between his new foreman and the other hand as he took the saddle and packsaddle off his two horses, studying the layout of the ranch at the same time. It was a good layout, with sturdy stone buildings.

"Well I wish you two luck in that. If you'll excuse me, I better tend to my horse now; we had a long ride here. It was a pleasure meeting y'all!" she said with a smile.

Johnny
Johnny lifted the hem of his shirt and undid the loops of rope around his waist. He started doing this a while back to both hold up his pants and keep supplies closer to his body and hidden. He had patches of rope burn and one or two small sores along where the rope had been due to all the walking he'd been doing the past months. He dropped the hem back down and tied the rope into a lasso. "This good?"

She studied the rope critically. "How long is it?" She questioned him, still studying it.
