Holiday Happenings 2018

Hello and welcome to the 2018 Holiday Happenings post! This year it has expanded a bit from being mostly about the SPC to encompass all of EV’s active participants! I and the SPC are proud to join forces with other members and Clubs across EV to bring you exciting Holiday events!

All events will be officially open on December 1st! In the meantime get ready for some fun this Holiday season!

Activities and Community Events
-Closed-The Kindness Club’s Secret Santa 2018 - until December 11th, sign up to give and/or receive a gift from a Secret Santa!

graveyard's Yule Day Giveaway -  Once a week for the month of September graveyard is giving away one Deluxe membership for 4 total! Entry is free, so go sign up now!

Miniature Horse Club Holiday Giveaway - Miniature Horse Club is doing some Holiday giveaways for members, non-members and new members!

EDF Holiday Raffle - A raffle for Equiverse Dressage Federation members with plenty of great prizes for an awesome club!

Contest Calamity
-Closed-Design a Holiday Ref Contest - Design your perfect Holiday reference, include a character story or blurb to enter for a special category. Most Creative, Best Effort and judges Choice awards will be handed out. All art levels and medias are encouraged! Each participant gets one ticket to the Holiday Raffle.

-Closed-Coloring Contest - Using last year’s coloring base color and design to your heart’s content to make the most creative, best effort, coolest theme or judges choice. Each participant gets one ticket to the Holiday Raffle.

-Closed-Holiday Horse Contest - Show off your Holiday horse, one with a special decoration or background or just your favorite with a cool holiday name. Prizes for Best Dressed, Coolest Color, Most Thematic Name and Judges Choice. Each participant gets one ticket to the Holiday Raffle. 

Art Shenannigans
Free Holly Tags - An ancient base being re-released again for free this year! Additional helpers have access to the base so orders can be completed by multiple people.

Christmas Theme Tags: by wey, by Queen Bird - Sab’s helpers help recolor old Christmas bases based on popular holiday songs!

2018 Shetland Holiday Tags - The 2018 Shetland Holiday tags will partially fund a SPC exclusive cash raffle. They come with many different addons and cool background additions this year!

Earn one ticket just by posting your favorite Holiday thing! Or multiple things! Tell us about your favorite movie, holiday tradition, holiday song, or just your favorite thing about the holidays!
In addition to the one free ticket here on this thread you can gain additional tickets by entering one of the three contests hosted by the SPC that are linked above.

I'd love to enter the raffle! My favorite tradition is watching a whole bunch of Christmas movies on Christmas Eve (which also happens to be my birthday)!

I would like to enter the raffle! My favorite holiday tradition is having Christmas with my extended family. It's always a really fun event. 

I would like to enter the raffle. My favorite part of the holidays is the gift of giving. Its fun to buy presents for friends and family and see their faces when they open them .

Hello! 
First thank you all for entering! I'm currently on my phone since we're dealing with some flooding (yay winter :/ )
Hopefully we'll be shored up and back to work soon, but we'll have a lot of cleanup to do I'm sure. (My horse pastures and shelters are flooded, but our house is good.)
I'll be editing the sheet with raffle entries and starting on tags when I get back to my comp! Hopefully by the end of the weekend!

In the meantime all links should be updated above and all the contests and art things are open. Have a better day than us xD

Stay safe Sabbers! My raffle entry would be getting to see those special movies, some that I have been watching every year for as long as I can remember and some that are brand new favorites :D Also exciting is that two of my favorite movies , Once Upon a Christmas and Twice Upon a Christmas, have been playing a few times on Hallmark already! I haven't seen them in a couple years as they haven't been put up recently. Other favorites, which I can't wait to watch are Santa Clause 2 and The Year Without a Santa Claus.

Plus I was able to get this gift for my mom that I've been wanting to get her for quite some time. She collects Winnie the Pooh items and this one has both Piglet and Eeyore on it, which are our two favorite characters. It's called We Can Share Secrets, which is totally true of our relationship, she is my best friend and I feel like this really represents us. I can't wait to see her reaction on Christmas Day!

We can't do much in the dark, so I managed to log on and update the raffle sheet! If you've submitted entries into the contest they've been recorded. 
Through our amazing partner tags and the 2018 Holiday tags we've gotten 200k for the SPC tag pot and 585k for the Raffle pot! Horray!

One of my favorite holiday traditions is getting my whole family together. We celebrate Hanukkah and Christmas, so I always have a good laugh when we put our Hanukkah presents under the Christmas tree. I also love sitting by the fire and drinking hot chocolate. 

ee i'd love to be entered into the raffle, my favourite tradition is all my family tend to do Christmas at one house, each is different every year, this year we're going down to London which should be fun, we're also checking out a couple Christmas festivals too c:

I’d love to enter the raffle! My favorite tradition is watching Christmas movies and eating super good food on Christmas Eve! I love getting to just spend time with my family. This year we’re going to my parents for Christmas, since last year we went to the boyfriends dads place. I know my moms super excited, and that makes me super excited! 

I'd like to enter the raffle, please! My favorite tradition is decorating for the holidays. :D

I'd like to enter! My favorite tradition is decorating our tree, I especially love wrapping on the tinsel and lights. I really like making patterns with the lights and messing around with different colors. I also love it when we have to drive at night, cause I get to see everyone's houses covered in lights. Since my family can't decorate the outside of our house, it's always fun to see how other people have decorated theirs! ♥

I would like to enter! My favorite holiday thing/'tradition' is eating my grandmother's peanut butter fudge. Sadly she passed away but we found her recipe so my mother will be making it this Christmas. :( I also like driving around the neighborhood to see the lights. My mother did it when we were younger to make us fall asleep quicker but it became a tradition now :3
