Torpid Void

Silvestre
The people passed by and Silvestre helped Harper up, keeping a relatively firm grip on her arm to keep her from toppling over again. "What's your name?" She seemed out of it and helping people out wasn't exactly his forte. 

Harper
Harper managed to keep herself steady, though her head was still spinning. "Ha-Harper.... yours?"

Mason
 He released his grip on her arm, teetering a little afterwards as he suddenly had to support himself. He managed to keep himself upright, but not without clawing at his ribs for what was probably the hundredth time that day, cursing as he hissed out a shuddering breath. He took a moment to get a hold of himself, repositioning the strap of his bag on his shoulder before shifting his gaze up to make eye contact with his insufferable comrade. "How do you expect me to know? I can just feel it. That's all I know. And that only really works if I don't think about it too much, so we gotta hurry before my vague sense of her direction goes away," he barely managed to puff out, taking one last painful deep breath before turning on his heel and sprinting off again, not really caring if Alice followed or not. He fought against the pain with nothing but slowly-diminishing willpower, causing his entire body to ache badly enough that it almost didn't hurt anymore, strangely enough. If this little brat is already dead I swear to God I will haunt her for the rest of time... Little punk's got me out here dying to save her dumb a-

Silvestre
"Silvestre. You climbed out the window back at that house, right?" Why she would want to wander around in this state, he had no idea. He did dumb stuff, but usually he could actually walk when he did them.

Harper
"Something like that, yeah," she muttered, blinking to clear her vision.

Silvestre
"Cool. Pro tip - close the window next time. It makes it harder for people to know where you went. Also don't be, ya know, dying. It's best to be able to run away from thugs. Speaking of which - can you walk?" 

Harper
Harper coughed into her elbow for a minute before staring blankly at the ground. "First of all- I know what I'm doing okay, I'm not an idiot. I like near-death experiences when I'm 'dying'. Secondly-" she cut off and almost fell over again, her head making the world twist unexpectedly. "No, not really."

Silvestre
She swayed and he did his best to keep her from falling. "It's not fun if you know what you're doing," Silvestre said with a small grin. So, she couldn't walk. He wasn't going to carry her - he really didn't feel like it, and besides, he doubted he'd be able to. "Well, if you can't walk, we have a bit of a problem then, don't we?" 

Harper
Harper gritted her teeth. "Are you making fun of me? I feel like you're making fun of me."

Silvestre
"Not really. If you can't handle that, you probably shouldn't be trying to have a 'near-death experience.'" Silvestre bent slightly and pulled her arm across his shoulders, slinging his other one around hers to help her stand (and, hopefully, walk). He had to bend because of the decent height difference. "Alright, let's go. I'm getting bored." 

Harper
"Well, where are we going cause I don't want to go back." Harper traced the tip of her foot on the ground, wondering exactly where it was.

Silvestre
"To that house. Why don't you want to go back?" 

Harper
Harper sighed. "It just feels weird, and it makes me a little loopy, I guess."

Silvestre
"Let's go do something, then. And maybe go back after that, who knows. What do you want to do?" 

Harper
"I dunno, what do you normally do?" Harper had no clue what one would do in a place likes this. She managed to unwrap her arm, slidding down to the ground and sitting there quietly. She felt a little thirsty, which wasn't surprising, but ultimately she just wanted a bit of a break.
