Aerow
"Bring her if you want. She'll be safe here though if you decide to leave her." Aerow left without another word, dissolving into the air.

Louis
She always just disappears like that. What if I wasn't done talking? Louis sighed and stood up. He walked over to Harper's room and tapped on the door before talking. "Aerow wants me to go to the edge of town. Do you want to stay here or come with me? She said you'd be safe here if you stay."

Harper
Harper thought about it for a moment, slidding off the bed and opening the door. "I'll go I guess..."

Louis
The door opened, revealing the small female on the other side. "You don't sound very confident in that answer," Louis commented. He didn't wait for a response before turning and heading for the house's exit. "I'm heading out now."

Harper
Harper scrambled after him. "I'll be fine."

Louis
Louis opened the door and waited for Harper before leaving the house. After looking up and down the streets to find the right way, he closed the door behind Harper and set out for the edge of town. It didn't take too long from where the house was to reach the outskirts, even considering his slow pace (so Harper could keep up). Clad in the shoes thrown at him by Ace, Louis stepped just outside the town's border and waited expectantly for Aerow. 

Aerow
Aerow formed, her appearance flickering unexpectedly, which looked slightly painful. 

Louis
Louis shifted on his feet. "Why'd we have to come out here?" Having noticed the unusual flicker in her person, Louis opted to ignore it instead of make a comment.

Aerow
"Unsafe for civilization," Aerow said, looked down at Harper. She studied the girl quietly, humming thoughtfully at the end.

Louis
"Will it be safe for her?" Louis asked, following Aerow's gaze down to Harper.

Aerow
Aerow nodded. "She'll be fine. Anyways, do you have any questions or concerns?"

Louis
"Not at the moment." Louis decided to ask about his sudden high rank later. He didn't want to be too long here, but was simultaneously eager to start actually doing something.

"Really?" Aerow raised an eyebrow at him. "You do, actually."

Louis
"I thought you hated questions," Louis grumbled. "I was just wondering why I'm suddenly high rank." 

Aerow
Aerow shrugged. "Ace did that. He was high ranked."
