Torpid Void

Louis 
"Oh, okay." 'Was'? And how did he do that? "That was my only question."

Aerow
"Yes, I know." Aerow stared at the ground for a minute. "I told you I couldn't teach you without you holding darkness and all. Now that you do, I can. And as you probably know I am the darkness. Basically since you posses it I can control you and read your thoughts and all. Thought I should let you know."

Louis
Several seconds of silence lingered after that, Louis simply staring at her. Finally, he blinked, glancing away and running his hand through his hair. "I... don't like that," he admitted. After all the work it had taken to build up his mental wall, Louis couldn't help but feel a bit cheated. 

Aerow
"Honestly, I don't pay attention to anyone's mind." Aerow shrugged. "They all think about how great it would be if I died so... as for controling you, I'm a strong believer in freedom. Not really, I'm actually just yoo lazy to care."

Louis
He sighed, closed his eyes briefly, then nodded. "Well, let's start, I guess."

Aerow
"Yes, of course." Aerow looked over at Harper, giving her a look of 'back up', which surprisingly enough, Harper obeyed. Aerow cleared her throat, raising her eyebrows in a nope I didn't do anything wrong nuhuh. "Now. I should probably know your goals and reasons behind wanting me to train you."

Louis 
He shrugged. "I'm curious." 

Aerow
Aerow rolled her eyes. "I can't believe this. You're just curious? Just curious?"

Louis 
"Um... yes?" 

Aerow
"Why does no one take me seriously?!" Aerow shouted at the sky, though to who she was talking to, nobody could really tell. She gritted her teeth defiantly, forming darkness in her hands. "Concentrate on whatever it is that's inside of you. The void can take on many forms... it's for you to decide where it dwells."

Louis
He winced when she suddenly started yelling. Louis studied the darkness in her hand for a moment, nodded, and then focused. Shortly after, he was pretty sure he'd identified the void in him. "Okay."

Aerow
"Now control it with your mind." Aerow diminished the smokey substance in her hands.

Louis 
He fell back into a concentrating silence. Mentally, Louis pinpointed the void more accurately. At some point he had closed his eyes to further focus. Honing in on the void, and wondering absently what it was made of, he began to try and control it. A rush of black, tangible in it's chill, coursed through him like electricity - it was an odd sensation - when he first tried something. He sucked in a sudden, surprised breath, then furrowed his brow as he continued to try and do something with it. Finally, he flicked open his eyes and looked at the small wisp of smoke in his hand. He sighed, a little disappointed, and glanced up at Aerow.

Aerow
Aerow watched him, looking over to the side in utter confusion for a moment. Why are humans so much better at everything...? "I mean you did better than I expected," she muttered. "Moving on- you need to be able to connect well with your imagination. Don't just think it's there, believe it's around you, I guess." Aerow created more smoke, blowing into its mist. Something like a dog took form, quickly leaping from thin air and landing on the ground as a physical being. The dog sat down as if it were confused about life, then tumbled away as fast as possible, obviously not knowing where it was going. Aerow watched the dog go. "Don't try that- I'm scared it would turn out horrifically, but you get the idea."

Louis 
"I can barely make smoke," Louis protested, looking disgustedly at the small wisp in his hand. He made a small motion and it dissipated.
