"If you guys need time to stretch, go ahead. Today you will not be fighting against anyone or anything, mostly just dodging fake bullets and so on," Rodger explained, clicking a few buttons on a stand. "There is a hidden note on the other side of this gymnasium. Find it, and bring it back to safety- as a team. If you get shot, come back to home."

Outlaw 
Her brow furrowed slightly. How did a person get shot by fake bullets..

Shane
Rodger looked at Outlaw, raising his eyebrows. "Don't ask questions, just do as I say. In the future you will have many instructions you cannot question, you just have to do."

Outlaw 
No instruction eh. I like that. She thought, waiting for a signal to go. 

Shane
"Once again, work as a team, not as individuals," Rodger repeated. "And no use of weapons. I do require you put all weapons you may have into that basket over there. They will be returned to you after this session."
Shane looked at the obstacle course, mentally trying to figure out where all the booby traps were.

Outlaw 
She went and put her pistols and holsters as well as knife into the basket then returned and studied the course with a keen eye. She noted several clear trip wires at one spot..

Shane
"Have fun," Rodger mumbled, giving them the go signal.
Shane sucked at being a leader- seriously, he was the youngest. He looked at Outlaw, then back at the course.

Outlaw 
She glanced at Shane, who seemed to be waiting for her to lead. She started out, pointing to the spot the trip wires where and mumbling “trip wires” to the boy as a warning. She carefully went past them. 

Shane
Shane nodded and went past them carefully, glancing around momentarily. A painful memory came back to him, causing a sudden lump in his throat. He shoved it back down mentally and looked at the wall when he heard what sounded like a gunshot.

Outlaw 
She glanced in the direction the shot had come from. What kinda folly was this?

Shane
Shane hated any form of training- from sports to fighting, he hated it. He had a nick for construction, though part of him doubted that dream would ever come true. Even if it did, he knew he would never get trained by the one person he wanted to train him. "Okay seriously, shut up and concentrate," he mumbled to himself.

Outlaw 
She spotted another trap, this time wires overhead, and pointed to them to warn the boy, then ducked under them, popping up on the side without touching any. 

Shane
Shane followed Outlaw, doing the same as her and doing it well enough.

Outlaw 
She stopped, studying a mat on the floor. “There’s gonna be a hole under there, and also trip wires attacked to it so you can’t move it” she mumbled, studying until she detected where the hole was. She found it and carefully tread over, pointing to where the hole was so Shane knew. She made it to the other side successfully then waited for Shane. 

Shane 
Shane followed her, watching for the hole and making it safely over. No point in dying today.
