"Two. Why?" If this went on any longer they would start to wonder where he'd gone. Though they'd probably wait a few more minutes; some "guests" were more problematic than others.

Skye 
Skye sighed in mock irritation. "I suppose the easy way, then. Of course you had to pick anything under five. It's the rule-following option, after all," Skye teased. 

Ashwin
He shrugged, a little confused by the last bit, but he was glad they could do this easily. He slipped the cuffs on and approached the door again, unlocking it and shoving it open. "Can you walk yet?" 

Skye 
"Yes, I can. I didn't crawl this far... for the most part," Skye said, exiting the cell. 

Ashwin
He bit his tongue to force the smile away. He already had a mixed reputation, he would rather not start up more rumors. Ash heard the cell relock as he followed Skye up the stairs. He handed the key over at the top and then led Skye to the questioning room, where she was ushered inside. He sat back down in the chair he had occupied before.

Skye 
"Let's begin where we left off," the interrogator said, studying the girl in front of her for a second. "You said you were looking for something you thought you'd lost before accidentally tripping the alarm. What was it?" Truth. My freedom. "I'm not sure. Nothing was missing when I checked my bag, so I just have made a mistake." The interrogator nodded, seemingly satisfied with Skye's answer. "Do you by chance know someone by the name Desiree Davis?" Skye shoved her panic out of the way. "Never heard of them." The interrogator nodded. "We can't find any criminal record files in our system, or any others about you." Because technically I'm not here. "They must not have transferred when I moved." From where?" Skye told the interrogator the name of the city in which she had a fake identity on file. "We'll get that done then. You're free to go, it seems." 

Ashwin
He reentered and nodded to the interrogator, who gave him a small smile. She had already questioned a few people, and she worked all day with almost no breaks. Ash led Skye out of the room and then the building. He had to take her out of the restricted zone before taking the cuffs off, though, so he didn't do that yet. 

Skye 
"Your shift was over like three hours ago. Are you that dedicated to absolute perfection or just a workaholic? Or bored out of your mind?" Again, there was a hint of amusement in Skye's voice.

"I'm a little bored. But mostly it's just because I'm nearby when someone calls in for help." He shrugged. "I'm technically always on duty, and I don't mind helping out." And I did take a small break to run those errands.

Skye 
Awww, cute. Wait, no. He's a dedicated rule-follower, the exact opposite of a rebel. That's not cute. It's potentially dangerous. But kind of endearing. Just a bit. "Interesting. I'm never off-duty, either. Occupational hazard, I guess."

"What do you do for a living?" They were nearing the end of the restricted zone, and Ash found himself a little disappointed. He didn't mind admitting Skye was an intriguing person. 

Skye 
"That is classified. I'm not sure, really, but you'll see me around. Hopefully not like this, but," Skye shrugged. "You never know."

Ashwin
Interesting. They arrived at the edge. Ash walked her a little ways away and then started undoing the cuffs. "Want an escort home? I'm off now, and don't have anything better to do." He clipped the cuffs back onto his belt, stepped back, and grinned at her. I doubt she will, but hey, worth a try. 

Skye 
Skye laughed. "We'll compromise. Halfway. Don't want to crush your dreams, after all."

Ashwin
He shook his head, laughing. "How do you know I'm not just keeping you out of trouble? And I'm not sure where I'm going, so you'll have to lead the way."
