Only The Strong Survive

Outlaw 
She lowered the binoculars and took some more swigs of coffee. 

Auberon
"Actually if you want to be very specific, we're cousins once removed..." Auberon said thoughtfully. "And as for my girlfriend- I dunno actually... probably killing something but..."

Outlaw 
“Long as she ain’t killin my animals I don’t care what she’s killin” she remarked of Kahlen. 

Auberon
"But so are me and Kahlen... well I don't know my mother is her mother's Aunt, somehow we're in the same generation- I'm technically dating my cousin, but I've heard it doesn't matter because that side of our family doesn't have DNA..." Auberon rambled. Charity just stared at him like he had gone nuts.

Outlaw 
“Auberon, she doesn’t know about all that” she mumbled. 

Auberon
"Oh ya, right- moving on... I told you it's not good to take medication after not doing so for a week!" He grumbled. 

Outlaw 
“And who decided not to take his medicine?” She said innocently, staring out over the forest. 

Auberon
"Huckleberry Finn," Auberon muttered. "Either way, sorry for not informing you guys I was still alive. I was dealing with... stuff."
Charity stared at Auberon for a minute then turned around and walked back to her cot. "Whatever."

Outlaw
She thought for a minute, confused. “Who’s Huckleberry Finn?”

Auberon
"I dunno he was some "all rainbows and sunshine" kid we had to read about in school. Or maybe that was Tom Sawyer..." Auberon said with a sigh. "What are you looking at?" He asked, walking over to her.

Outlaw 
“Ook.” She mumbled. When he came over she gave him her binoculars. “Look over there at the edge of the forest by that dogwood tree and tell me if that’s Jade or if my eyes are playing tricks on me” she said, pointing to where she meant. 

Auberon
"Jade?" Auberon said, looking through the binoculars. "Oh well I can't see much better than you but ya I think so." he mumbled, handing her the binoculars. 

Outlaw 
“What’s she doin out here?”’ She wondered, putting away the binoculars in their case. 

Auberon
"Ya I dunno," Auberon mumbled. He looked down at the ground and frowned.

Outlaw 
“What’s the frown for now?” She sighed.
