Only The Strong Survive

Jade
"Okay, the woods it is."  Let's hope for a cabin. Jade stooped, unsheathing her sword, and wiped it on the grass. She didn't bother to sheathe it, holding it casually in one hand as she stood back up and entered the forest. It was noticeably cooler when she entered the shade cast by the foliage overhead. 

Outlaw 
“Kinda?” She offered. 

Charity
"No, I'm not still in gangs," Auberon said from the balcony. Charity nodded slightly then looked back at Outlaw. The height difference was slightly intimidating, which was saying something because she grew up around boys who were 6 foot, but she tried not to let it bug her.

Outlaw 
“Help yourself” she said, gesturing the cupboards as she took a pouch of coffee and some water. She went and started a fire in the pit, making herself a cup of coffee. 

Charity
Charity nodded and sat down on the cot, eyeing Auberon slightly.

Outlaw 
She took a sip of coffee, giving a satisfied “hmm”. She still made coffee the way she had in the old days: right strong and black. 

Auberon
Auberon started mumbling things to himself, glaring at Outlaw in the process.

Charity
Charity got up and glared at Auberon. "Where the heck have you been for the past year and a half?!" She snapped.

Outlaw 
“What?” She muttered when Auberon glared at her. 

Auberon
"Oh, boy..." Auberon mumbled quietly, looking down at the ground and trying to avoid eye contact with Charity.
"You've led us to believe you've been dead this entire time- why didn't you come home?! Or at least tell us you're still alive!"

Outlaw 
She listened to Charity, but said nothing. She wasn’t about to get messed up in that. 

Auberon
Auberon stared into infinity for a minute, then shrugged. "I figured after apparently murdering someone y'all wouldn't want to see me again? I dunno," he mumbled. He had suspected this to be worse than anything Kahlen could've thrown at him. So far this was going majorly better.

Outlaw 
She narrowed her eyes looking in the forest, and pulled out her binoculars. Yep, someone else. Whoa wait, was that Jade? She took another sip of coffee while studying the person through the binoculars. 

Auberon
"That's a terribly lame excuse," Charity said, crossing her arms. Auberon raised his eyebrows and glanced at Outlaw, staring at whatever she was looking at in the distance. 
"And who's she?"
Auberon tilted his head in Charity's direction. "Who?"
"Outlaw."
"Outlaw... obviously."
Charity rolled her eyes and mumbled a few choice words. "I mean, like. What are you two?!"

Outlaw 
She didn’t hear Charity and Auberon, being too busy fiddling with the settings on the binoculars. How had Jade ended up here? She took another sip of coffee as she thought it over. 

Auberon
"We're friends," Auberon mumbled. "I have a girlfriend anyway..." he explained. Charity gave him a oh really? look, then asked, "Who or where is your girlfriend then?"
