"I bet Aylin would want to know his secrets," Ahanu laughed. "She can whip something random up and have it taste amazing, but if you ask her to cook something specific that she hasn't memorized, she needs a recipe. She makes her own changes to them, though." His small smile was bittersweet. "I'm glad she's out of danger in Florida, but I really miss her." 

Charity
"Auberon can bake and cook five things at once and not get anything mixed up. It drives me insane because whenever I ask him how he does it he just shrugs," Charity recalled. "The weird part is that he actually looks like he doesn't know he's doing it- he just does."

Ahanu
He shrugged. "Maybe it's just something he was born with." Ahanu tried not to think of his family too often, mainly because his parents were dead and his sister out of reach. But she wasn't dead, and he hoped to see her again someday. Thinking about her made him a little sad. She probably knew their parents died, but had to go through that alone. He would probably have to tell her what happened. Would she be angry at him for having to shoot their zombies? What if the apocalypse never ended, bu spread across the country, and he never saw her again? 

Charity
Charity studied Ahanu for a moment. "You alright?"

Ahanu
He sighed, then nodded. "I'm just thinking about Aylin." 

Charity
"It sucks not being able to see your sibling, I understand that much," she mumbled, looking back down at Jordan and Braydon. They were still bickering, so Charity just sighed and returned her gaze back to Ahanu. I hope he's okay... She debated with herself momentarily, then shifted closer to him and kissed him.

He hadn't really heard her, having fallen deep into thought about Aylin again. Would Aylin hate him? What if all this time apart resulted in them no longer being close? What if she became a completely different person? This deep thinking resulted in him being completely blindsided by Charity's kiss. He hadn't even noticed her move until her lips were on his, snapping him out of his mind instantly. Simultaneously, his free arm loosely wrapped around her waist, he reciprocated, and guilt began its slow creep up his spine. Self-consciousness hit when he remembered where they were standing. He pulled away just slightly, keeping his arm around her. Ahanu offered her a small smile. "Thanks."

Charity
Charity smiled back at him slightly, her eyes studying his thoughtfully.

Ahanu
He tilted his head the slightest at her expression. "What?" 

Charity
"Nothing." She wrapped her arms around his neck tenderly. "I'm just tired... and I've been told I stare at things when I'm tired." She smirked at the thought. Her teacher had accused her multiple times of cheating on exams all because she started staring at what happened to be someone else's paper.

Ahanu 
Ahanu felt a small, pleased shiver run down his back at the agreeable sensation of Charity's hold. "Do you want to try and get some sleep somewhere?" 

Charity
"That probably wouldn't end well, as usual..." she mumbled, glancing back down towards the kitchen before looking back at Ahanu,

Ahanu
"If you want to stay here, I could make sure nothing happens to you. Otherwise we could go back to the hut or stables or even borrow an empty house for a bit."

Charity

Charity thought for a minute. "I don't want to exactly leave yet... but I don't want you to feel uncomfortable either."

Ahanu 
He sighed a slightly exasperated sigh, though he was smiling. "Don't worry about me. I'm fine."
