Auberon thought about it for a minute. "Common knowledge. Something I don't have."

Aline giggled. "I'm sure you have at least a little bit."

Auberon
"Nope, not really." Like that one time a bull was charging at me and I didn't move.... that hurt.

Aline
She shrugged, smiling still. "Okay." 

Auberon
Auberon looked at her and knitted his eyebrows. "Why are you smiling?" Oh I dunno Auberon, why'd you ask that?

Aline
"Probably because I was just laughing."

Auberon
"That. Makes sense," Auberon said looking down at the ground and probably blushing.

Aline
She studied the fabric pattern on her jean shorts, letting the silence fill the room for a little while. Aline glanced tentatively at the door and then returned her eyes to the floor. "Why do they hurt people?" Aline finally broke the quiet with a quiet question that had been on her mind (but she had been too afraid to ask).

"Probably cause they're confused and angry with life so they take their anger out on other people," Auberon said with a shrug. "Most likely someone's hurt them, emotionally or physically, and they want to take it out on other people for that reason."

"Oh. Okay." They want information from Outlaw and Parker. They want you and Brooklynn to join the gang. But what about me? 

Auberon
"Oh. Okay..." Auberon repeated, trying to figure out why she said that out of many other things.

Aline
"What's your favorite food?" Aline asked in an attempt to change the subject.

Auberon
"Apples... or pizza, but preferably apples," Cause I'm a weird health geek- "You?"-That likes avocados. 

Aline
Okay, that worked. "It's a tie between Feijoada - Brazilian Black Bean Stew up here - and Pão de Queijo." Because our food is amazing. Though I really like movie theater popcorn. I should probably mention that. "And movie theater popcorn. That's really good." Pão de Queijo is nostalgic, Feijoada is really good, and movie theater popcorn is addictive.
