I had such a tough time choosing just one entry for first place.. All of them were so fantastically done! I'm so glad to see this contest has inspired people to use their creativity to the fullest! But without further ado, the winners are....

I just love how your piece fits the theme so well. The depth is incredibly done with the trees fading off in the distance. And the lighting is very nicely placed behind your character that it seems to illuminate your focal point even more! I can tell you put a lot of hard work into it and it definitely paid off! Another spot on entry with your theme! I love that the theme chosen was personal to you and I love how well you executed it in your piece! The grungyness looks fantastic and I like that you cleverly slipped some colour in there in the eyes. Congratulations!

I absolutely love the colour palette on this! I like that the background is simple, yet quite complex at the same time. And the shading is superb! The glow around the moon is very nicely done as well. I am quite jealous of your traditional art talents! Congratulations!

I always love seeing people's creativity sprout! So this contest is for fun and improvement! It isn't for me, it's for all you lovely artists out there! :D

Here's how it will work..

-You will use this generator to generate yourself a random theme. You don't have to choose the first one that pops up, choose one that you think inspires you most and that you think you'd have the most fun working from.

-You will draw YOUR character(s) in using said theme. Background is a must.

-Brownie points for including Coco somewhere in there, he can be hidden or not. But of course don't feel obligated to draw him. I want you having fun drawing your own characters ;D You're also welcome to draw a friend's character too! There's no limit.

-Your image must be sig size (500x150px) or larger.

-Can be any medium you want. Can be digital or traditional. You have free reign on everything.

-Please make sure you write down the theme you have used, I will be using it for judging ;P

-I will be judging based on creativity and effort. You don't have to be an experienced artist to join. Beginners are welcome, as this isn't skill/experience based! I'd like to see people attempting to go out of their comfort zone to try new things!

-I will also be judging based on how well you've incorporated your theme into your piece. But this wont count as much as the creativity and effort portion.

-One entry per person please! If you think you'd like to make more than one, then you're always welcome to go back to your main image and add more! Just remember to have it completed by the end date (provided below)

-I believe this isn't really something that needs to be said (since it's EV rules to begin with haha) but no offensive content, nudity, etc. I will allow some gore however, as long as it isn't offensive.

-But most importantly, HAVE FUN while creating!! This is what this contest is all about! :D

Onto the prizes..

First place prize is $2,000,000 EVD AND one full body w/ background custom tag. If you don't know my art, you can see examples here.

Second prize is $500,000 EVD

No third as of yet.. there may be one added if there are enough entries

END DATE IS APRIL 25th!!

Do I have to draw only my equine OCs? And do I need to post here refs of those characters?
'Cause I didn't make ref for any of them yet (there are always more important things to do) and I only have concept sketches, not "real" refs.

This looks fun, i'll see if i can get something in by the deadline :3

What inspired you to choose this theme?: Been feeling blue, and dark.  Just felt like it fit the mood I currently needed to express.

Silver Fay> Though your drawing is super cute, it doesn't quite meet the expectations of the contest. I do suggest to challenge yourself to create a much larger background scene than just grass under the horse, as that would still only be considered your foreground. Looks great what you have so far though c:

What inspired you to choose this theme?: I like space and when I saw that I was like I could probably do that
