Okay, I'm surprised that I managed enough time to enter here but it generated me theme I couldn't resist.

Here comes the entry:
Theme chosen: It has a playing card theme and uses cool, grungy colors.
What inspired you to choose this theme?: I spent tons of hours playing cards with my family (and other people too). I like it, though I rarely have occasion to it (unfortunately, my favourite games are consider hard, I dunno why :c). That theme actually brought me some warm memories from past.

Theme chosen: It combines intricate geometric shapes with a steampunk theme and uses light, muted colors.
What inspired you to choose this theme?: I decided to edit this and enter my original design instead. This was the first theme that I saw and I loved it. My sister loves the steampunk aesthetic and since she lives in Spain I haven't seen her in a while so I drew my character ink flying to Spain to see her c:

Theme chosen: It has a beach theme and uses light, warm colors.
What inspired you to choose this theme?: I love the beach and tropical flowers, and was excited to try two of my hardest characters, as well as Ducky's character, Blue Ocean; and since they're sometimes seen on the beach, they seemed to fit.

If you look closely, you can see Coco hiding in the background. :3 I'm not very proud of him, but I have a version with and without.

Theme chosen: Slightly abstract + inspired by pastel beach

What inspired you to choose this theme?: i live near a beach so i get quite a bit of inspiration and i love sticking things which don't exactly fir together i.e. Shaman who lives in a dark forest and doesn't look all that welcoming with something cute and relaxing like the background. i stuck them in a jar becuase again its out of the ordinary and can be considered abstract same with the realistic style of background and chibi style of shaman.

Theme chosen: Moon theme that uses warm, dusky colors.
What inspired you to choose this theme?: I used the linked theme supplier, and as soon as I saw this one I got an idea, so I had to do it.
Finished piece (can be link or image format): Link for full size (This was done in watercolor pencils - the flecks are from gold/bronze paint that was already on the paper I used, so I incorporated them)

What inspired you to choose this theme?: i'm really a fan of whimsical, celestial scenes and blues are among my favorite, couldn't resist going all out with some glow and sparkle ♥

bedfordblack> Regardless of when you entered (I was still going to count your entry), you didn't even make this piece specifically for the contest :( It has come to my attention that it was posted to your dA account one year ago (click) so unfortunately you're disqualified. The piece had to have been created specifically for the contest and not pulled from an old piece you have created. And the fact that you lied about the theme inspiring you to create your piece.. that just rubs me the wrong way :/ That just kind of took the fun out of the contest, which is what it was suppose to be all about..



Besides this everyone, winners will be announced tomorrow :)
