New Player-Hello!

Hello everyone! I am a new player on EV and I just wanted to introduce myself! I go by Darastrix or Strix in game, and I have been playing EV for about 10 days now. Although I am new here, I am no stranger to online horse SIM games, having played a different one for several years. I was looking for a change when I stumbled upon EV and I must say-I could not be happier with this game and community! I am looking forward to continuing to learn all about this community and engaging regularly. I can be a bit shy at first (oh my, I am a nervous wreck just saying hello!), but after a while, I hope to be a regular here on the forums! In game, I think I will mostly be sticking to Quarter Horses and Appaloosas. Appies are definitely my favorite breed. I love their personalities and wit!

So a bit about myself! In real life, I am married to a wonderfully supportive husband and together we have a fur/scale family of 13! (2 cats, 1 dog, 2 rabbits, 2 rats, 4 snakes, and 2 horses!) Things can get a bit hectic around the house, but we would not have it any other way. We have no kids yet-maybe someday, we are still young(ish)! I am currently working on my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health, going for licensing in professional counseling and addictions counseling. I was an Equestrian major in my undergrad, and I hope to eventually combine my degrees to work with troubled and at-risk youth in an equine-facilitated counseling setting. I primarily ride western (western pleasure and ranch pleasure/versatility) with my Appaloosa mare, and our QH gelding is a retired all-arounder. We have not been showing as much as I'd like to recently, but such is the life of a student! I also have a particular affinity for fine-harness driving, and I quite enjoyed it in my undergrad days. Who knows, maybe I’ll get back into it one day!

Well, I think that is all for now. I like to think I am a friendly and fun person, once I warm up, so please feel free to drop me a message, add me as a friend, or just stop by for a chat! I am looking forward to getting to know you all and diving deeper into this wonderful game!

Ahh you have rats! I could chat all day about them. I have four at the moment. I've been playing for about a year and a half, so you can message me any questions about the game if you get stuck!

Awe Ratties are so much fun! I just have two right now, and they are getting quite old, poor dears. But I just love them so much!
