Greek Mythology Roleplay

Jade
She looked at Alex. "Maybe there's more medics down there? I can go get someone if you want," she offered. The chimera had started to lose interest in the kids behind the magic border, but it sure had left its mark. She glanced at the girl on the ground and quickly averted her eyes. She didn't really like blood. She looked back at Alex to hear his response.

Alex
Alex patted Jade on the arm. "Honestly, I'm fine. I just hope she can get the help she needs." Alex sighed, following Jade's gaze to the wounded girl now being loaded onto a stretcher. What would happen if she was to die? And if one chimera could do this much damage, what would happen if there were more of them?

Denver
Denver walked back over to Jade and Alex. "Have you seen my sister?" She'd said she'd be back in ten minutes. It had been twenty, and Denver was worried. He knew she could take care of herself, but she was still his sister. 
Kahlen
Kahlen heard someone behind her. "Don't move," they said warily. "And who might you be?" Kahlen asked. "I'm the one asking questions," the voice said. "Who are you and why are you here?" Kahlen sighed. "I'm Kahlen. Your really short, half-goat cop brought me here." Kahlen heard a quiet "What kind of name is that" as she introduced herself. She slowly stood up from her hiding place. "Where do you think you're going?" "Places to be," Kahlen replied. She stiffened as she felt a sharp blade being pressed to her back. "I don't think so," said the voice. "If you don't mind, I think you should explain who is up on the hill and why there's a chimera sneaking around." Kahlen did so, and then she and her new "friend" walked over to where her brother was waiting. She coughed and he turned around. "It seems we've been discovered," she said, straight-faced.

Jade
Jade nodded in agreement. She watched as the girl was hurried down into the camp. She shook her head in amazement. Most of the medics were kids around her age, some younger, some a little older. "What kind of camp is this?" she wondered aloud. She looked up when Denver walked up. "No, I haven't, sorry. I think she went that way when she left." Jade turned to point down the hill and almost jumped. Kahlen was right there, and someone was behind her. Jade leaned to get a better look. 

Alex
"I haven't seen her either, sorry." Alex frowned, prodding at his 
leg to see exactly where it hurt. It was mostly his knee, but that might have just been dislocated, which would heal quicklu after it was put back into place, so he wasn't too worried.

Ethel
 Ethel backed slightly as Kahlen came into view, followed by a shady-looking person with - was that a weapon?
 "I have no idea what kind of camp this is, but we need to get out of here," she hissed, glancing at Jade. First a chimera, and now someone who definitely looks to be threatening Kahlen. What next?, she cried out in her mind. Clenching her jaw, she forced herself to stand still.
 "Who are you?" the girl challenged, narrowing her eyes at the strange newcomer.

James
 "Whoa. Big knife," James yelped, startled as the pair came into view. His heart was racing because of his brain screaming at him to run, but he held his ground, albeit jumping back a bit. Although he was scared out of his mind due to the chimera and the current situation, he couldn't help but feel a rush of excitement. Not many people got to experience what he was witnessing.

Kahlen
Kahlen coughed again. "If you don't mind...?" The stranger stepped out from behind her, dressed in full battle armor, holding a faintly glowing sword. "Why did you lead the chimera here?" The person said, hostility evident in their tone. Kahlen turned to them and folded her arms. "We didn't," she said slowly, "I've already told you that." "The stranger turned defiantly to her. "How do we know you're not the enemy?" The stranger glared Kahlen. She returned a glare of her own. For a minute there was a standoff. Then the stranger backed down. "Fine."

Jade
She glanced at Ethel. "Kind of hard when it's the only safe place from that thing." She gestured to the chimera, then turned to the stranger. "Well, hi!" she said cheerfully. "We definitely didn't lead the chimera here, but he's pretty nasty." She gestured to Alex. "Also, if you wouldn't mind explaining what this place is? We just got here, and we're pretty lost." She sent her most dazzling smile their way.

Katie
"Do you think we would have been running from the chimera if we'd brought it here?" Katie muttered unde her breath, grinding her teeth together as she watched Harley be taken down into the valley. She paused next to the three standing on the hill, glad that somebody was playing the peacemaker.

Kahlen 
Kahlen made a continue gesture with her hand. The stranger huffed. "This is Camp Halfblood, a safe haven for Greek demigods. That's a chimera, one of the many monsters. They can smell demigods. Usually we don't get chimeras, but there seems to be several powerful demigods in the vicinity, then." He glanced at the group. "Chiron, the activities director, can explain it more in detail. I'm Jeff, from the Ares cabin."

Jade
"Woah, woah, woah, slow down buddy." She cocked her head at him. "Greek demigod? Like... half mortal, half god?" She had seen a Wikipedia article about them once while doing a research project for school. "Are you saying my dad's a god?" She grinned. "That's pretty sweet." She wondered who this Chiron guy was. "So.... there's a bunch of Greek gods, right? How do we know which one is our parent?"

Denver
Denver came to stand next to his sister. They glanced at each other, wide eyed. 
"Yeah. One of your parents is an Olympian." Jeff amended the statement. "Or a minor god or goddess. Being a demigod.... It's scary sometimes. Prophecies, quests, dying on the battlefield... Anyway. You'll be claimed eventually. It has to happen around when you turn 16, at the latest." Kahlen glanced at Denver. They were thinking the same thing: Who's our parent? "I guess I should take you all down to Chiron. Also, that injured girl will be in the Apollo cabin's medical center." He started down the hill, the group trailing after him.

Katie
"Wait, hold on, demigod? As in, half greek god, half human? But I'm full-blooded italian!" Katie says confusedly, pausing her pacing. "But do you know both of your parents?" Henry asked gently, and Katie shot him a glare. "Yeah, I do. My padre returned to Italy a few years ago, and I see my mamma regularly. I've known them my whole life, and I look like both of them-" "And are your green eyes an italian feature? And your height?" Brian cut in impatiently, not feeling up to putting up with Katie's confusion. "I..." She started, but couldn't answer, watching Brian stomp down the hill and Henry follow after the group, Katie slowly trailing after them.

The group started following the kid, Jeff his name was, down toward the camp. She extended her hand to Alex for the second time that day. "Need a little help?" she asked. She wondered who his immortal parent was, but mainly she wondered who hers was. This explained why she didn't have a dad. She froze a moment, her brows furrowing in thought. Could it be - No, nooo way. She shook her head and grinned down at Alex. "Hurry up, slowpoke."

Kahlen
Although the rest of Jeff's speech was great, Kahlen was more focused on the "prophecies, quests, and dying on the battlefield" part. If this was being a demigod, Kahlen wasn't sure she'd want it.
