Jade
"It's a bit awkward," she admitted, but she slid back into her spot next to his torso. She knew all this was too good to be true, so she wanted to enjoy it while it lasted and never forget it. Even if that meant letting the children of the love goddess watch.

Lena

Lena had joined the Aphrodite table and sat with them (ignoring the rules). She laughed at Alex, and turned to the girl closest to her. "Nice to see them happy"

Alex
Alex chewed on his lip, debating whether to just come out and tell Jade for her safety. "Hey, Jade-" but he was cut off by Chiron stamping his front hooves, alerting all the campers. "Alright, campers. Cabins, you are the red team. Everyone else, blue. Take your colours, and take your flag."

Jade
She stood, moving toward the Ares table, where their team had gathered. "What were you saying?" She asked, weaving her fingers back into his. "By the way, we're on the river."

Lena


Lena got up and got her colors. She grabbed her bow and quiver. She had played capture the flag before, but not like this. Turning to Jade, she asked "Have you played before?"

Jade
She shook her head. "No. But there's no maiming or killing!" She said the last bit slightly sarcastically. She had seen quite a few dangerous weapons around.

Alex
Alex just shook his head. "I'll tell you later." He squinted suspiciously at Jade. "That's so unfair - you can control water!"

Jade
"I'm on your team, doofus," she said, elbowing him in the side. "Its am advantage for you." She laughed. "Besides, don't blame me - the Ares kids put me there." She waved to the girl, who waved back.

Alex
"Yeah, but a fair fight is a fun fight." Alex laughed, grabbing Jade's hand and dragging her to the start line. "Ready to go?" He asked, taking a position to start running. "We have to go place and defend the flag."

Ethel
 Ethel held her dagger, contemplating what she should do. She'd never liked sports, games, or anything of the like, because she'd always felt really pressured in gym class due to everyone's critical gazes. Though, at the moment, she had bigger issues, like the fact that they were playing with weapons. Huffing under her breath, she trudged up to Jade and Alex.
 "What team are we on again? I wasn't exactly paying much attention."
 In truth, she had been, but she wanted an excuse to watch how those two interacted. They both seemed really questionable.

James
 James fumbled with his weapons as he neared the starting line. The game seemed simple enough, not taking the circumstances into consideration. All he had to do was steal the opposite team's flag and he'd be the winner. I'm good at stealing things, he reminded himself. But he was more or less concerned about the fact that almost all of the other campers had experience with weapons, and he didn't. He stared at the bronze blades in his left hand the sun reflected off of it.
 "That one's John," he told no one in particular. He then turned to inspect the one in his right hand. He held it downward, towards his shadow, so that shadows engulfed it and made it appear darker than it had before.
 "And that one's Hamilton," James decided. And the steel one is called Benedict, he added silently, opting to leave the third knife in his backpack (that was still on his back, mind you).

Kahlen 
Kahlen reluctantly got up and went to the starting line, taking off her locket and holding it in her hand. 

Jade
She turned to Ethel with a smile. "We're team blue. It's everyone on the quest and their cabins, plus Ares and Hecate." She looked around and saw James, giving him a wave and a grin. She noted briefly that Noah was on the other team. The Ares girl approached. "Jade - and I'm assuming this is Alex - just head straight for the river. We've got the flag placement and defense covered. If you can keep the other team from crossing the river, that would be great. Good luck!" She walked back to the Ares gang, who were getting all stoked up.

Kahlen 
Kahlen moved to stand next to Jade. "What's the plan?" She asked. She'd glanced up at Jade and Alex earlier, but had decided she did not want to watch that. Instead, she'd put her head down on the table and tried to get rid of her headache.

Jade
She shrugged. "The Ares kids put me and Alex on the river. They probably have guards picked for the flag, so I would say try to make your way to their flag. And of course don't get caught." She grinned. "We're going to keep the other team from getting past the river. So if you get their flag, just come back across the river. Unless they haven't noticed yet, in which case you just need to sneak back."

Kahlen 
Kahlen nodded. "I won't. I can be pretty stealthy when I want to."
