Greek Mythology Roleplay

Kahlen 
From the Apollo table, Kahlen watched Alex leave. Why did you have to make this hard? I wanted to trust you. 

Jade
She smiled up at him. Running your hands through that mop won't do much, She thought, and giggled. "Don't disappear," she replied, half-jokingly. As he walked away, she sighed and glanced around the pavilion. The Ares cabin were already strategizing. Jade spotted Kahlen and didn't know what to say, so she just gave a small wave. 

Kahlen 
Kahlen waved back to Jade. Truthfully, Kahlen would rather be sleeping than playing capture the flag or going on a quest. She had gotten about four hours of sleep last night and her patience was wearing thin. There was a small problem: Kahlen was afraid of dreaming. So far she'd had nightmares and cryptic messages. Who knew what would come next? Kahlen didn't like to admit that she was afraid of something. It seemed like a foreign concept to her mind. 

Alex 
Alex ended up following Kaylee to the armory, watching with slight disdain as Kaylee gleefully chose a pair of wolverine looking gloves with massive retractable claws on the end..... that were suspiciously just her size. Floyd picked a deadly looking spear with razor sharp barbs that were designed to bloom open once inside their target on the head, and Ava already had her wicked looking tomahawk, crafted from stainless steel. "Are we actually allowed to use these?" Alex asked, eyeing an arrow sharp enough to go through his body, and just about four others. "No." Ava grinned gleefully, sharpening her axe. "But where's the fun in safety?" "If I trip with this," Alex gestured to the long machete hanging from his side. "I'm literally going to cut myself in half." Ava laughed, a competitive look in her eye. "See? Fun!"

Jade
A kid stood from the Ares table and scurried over to her. "You're Jade, right?" The girl asked. Jade nodded. "Okay. Good. We're putting you on the river, since you're Poseidon's kid." Jade nodded. Made sense. "Could my friend Alex take the river with me?" The girl shrugged and nodded.

Denver 
Denver sat next to his sister. "You look tired" he said. "Did you even sleep last night?" Kahlen sighed. "A little less than four hours." Denver shook his head. "You're going to run yourself into the ground if this keeps up." He played with his sister's dark brown hair. "Don't you start too. My day's been bad enough."

Alex
Alex shook his head as he entered the pavilion, trudging in along side Kaylee who he was almost positive was going to cut herself as she danced around. He caught Jade's eye and grinned, returning to her side and slumping against her back with a muttered curse. "My sister is going to be the death of all of us, I swear." He grumbled, nosing into Jade's neck.

Jade
She glanced at Kaylee and her eyes widened. The gloves looked odd on such an innocent-looking child. "Are those even allowed?" she asked. The electric current coursed through her again. She smiled and ran her hand through his hair. Grinning, she confirmed aloud her earlier thought. "Yep, a mop," she said under her breath.

Alex
"Yeah, according to the Hephaestus kids, anything made in the forges is allowed in capture the flag." Alex replied, rewinding his arms around Jade's waist sleepily. "Refer to my hair as a mop again and I'm going to change teams." 

Jade
"This could be potentially dangerous," Jade interjected. She grinned at him. "Aw, but it's a cute mop." She rested her head against his. "And don't you dare switch teams," she murmured.

Kahlen 
"We're on a team with the cabins of the kids that are going on the quest, along with Ares and Hecate." Her brother put an arm around her. Kahlen put her head in her hands and groaned. "When are we starting?"

Alex
"Sweetheart, this entire capture the flag is potentially 
dangerous." Alex snickered, shaking his head in disbelief. "And what about my hair says mop?!" 

Jade
"All of it," she giggled. "Every single strand screams 'Mop!' I could probably clean my cabin with your hair. But I like it better on your head." She breathed in deeply, taking in his scent, trying to commit it to memory. She lifted her head off his and at first tried to lean on his shoulder, which wasn't working with his arms around her, so she ended up just buried against his chest. 

Alex
Alex grumbled, sulking. He pulled Jade in closer. "I'm really gonna miss you when you guys leave." He murmured, then rolled his eyes. "But like, don't go thinking you're special or anything, seeing as you're over here and everyone else isn't." He joked.

Jade
She could hear his heartbeat from where she was, snuggled up next to his chest. Too bad there was a dangerous game starting soon. "I'll miss you, too," she whispered in reply, unentangling her arms to give him a hug [on her part, since his arms were already around her]. Then she tucked them back in where it was comfortable. "Why would I think I'm special? I'm being hugged by a mop." She giggled. "Okay, I'll stop with the mop jokes."
