Katie
Katie took position next to James at the start. "I'm so getting that flag." She grinned, twirling her baseball bat, the bronze glinting in the setting sun. "You coming with?"
Alex
Alex thought about the terrain they were fighting on carefully. "I agree with Jade. Come back through the trees, and if you focus on getting onto our side, we can take care on and pursuers you might have. If possible when youe running, probably try and stay away from large open areas - those Hermes kids are pretty quick, and the forge kids have no doubt set traps already."

Jade
She nodded in agreement. Chiron sent them out into the woods to get ready, and explained that the sound of the horn was the starting signal and ending signal. Jade nodded and ran into the forest with her team, tugging Alex with her by the hand. She went straight for the river and stood in the middle of it, the water rushing past her ankles, as she waited for the game to begin.

Alex
"Alright fish, you can stand in the water if you wanna get soaking wet so badly. I'm gonna stand up on the bank like a normal person." Alex grinned as he stood on the side of the river closest to the opposing team, tilting his head and just listening.

Kahlen
After Chiron had explained the game and let them off into the forest, Kahlen ghosted through the thick trees into a position about 50 feet from the river. The locket in her hand turned into a bow, with a quiver over her shoulder full of arrows- not that she planned on using them. Stealth would be key in this situation.

Jade
"You can be boring if you want, it's fine with me," she said with a grin, absently calling a small swirl of water into her hand to twirl between her fingers. When the horn sounded, the water filtered between her fingers, splashing into the river and flowing down stream. Jade's hand crept onto the hilt of her sword, but she decided to leave it sheathed until she needed it. She wanted her hands free to control the river.

Alex
After the horn sounded, Alex could already see blurs through the trees, although everything was dead silent, apart from the river. Alex heard a distant clang of metal and groan, and even closer to them he heard somebody yell for a medic. Already? He thought, drawing his blade and wincing as the deadly sharp point glinted in the dying sun.

Jade
She hadn't spotted the person, but the moment they stepped into the river, she knew. "Downstream, about ten feet," she murmured to Alex, peering into the brush. She decided not to try to spot the person, and instead she made a quick hand motion. There was a loud splash and a small squeal, the opposing team member having just been blasted in the face with water. Jade walked over to Alex, whispering so the other team couldn't hear. "I can feel whenever someone steps in the water." Then she took off toward where the person still sat, unsheathing her sword.

Alex
"Cool." Alex admitted, watching a red bandana disappear behind a tree about sixty feet forwards. Alex cursed - if they came any closer they would spot Kahlen and her cover would be blown. He took off into the forest, ducking his head and colliding with the person shoulder-first, and knocking them backwards into a tree, watching them slump to the ground. He quickly adjusted them into the recovery position just for safety, then backed up a little, watching for other campers.

Kahlen
As the game started, Kahlen crept through the undergrowth. There were a few times when people almost walked right into her, but silent movement was one of her specialties, so she was never discovered.
Denver
Denver had been assigned as a medic, so he ran around to wherever needed him.

Jade
She pushed past the brush and saw a girl sitting there, her face sopping wet. "Hi," Jade said with a grin. She took the hilt of her sword and hit her on the head, knocking her out. She caught the girl before she could fall into the river and placed her on the banks for the medics. For a moment, she felt really bad, but then she felt someone step into the river more toward where she had started. She ran through the water, slipping her sword away and summoning the water once more. Her hands moved quickly, and when she saw the boy, he was completely confused, trapped in a swirling column of water. After knocking him out as well - she couldn't bring herself to actually use her sword the right way - she glanced around. Alex had moved farther away, and she saw a camper step out stealthily behind him. "Alex!" she yelled, "Behind you!" Some river water leaped into her hand and she threw it at the offender. It just soaked the back of their shirt, but it was some form of a distraction.

Alex
Alex turned only to get knocked onto the ground by someone's sword coming down onto his shoulder, and as he watched the Athena girl loom over him, he swung the flatter side of his machete down behind her knees, grabbed the sharps tip of the blade, ignoring how it bit into his hand, and yanked, clotheslining the girl so she fell down with him. They scuffled for a bit, before Alex managed to kick her sword away and she paused, deliberating on whether to try and fight without a weapon, before she turned tail and ran back through the forest to her side.

Kahlen
Kahlen came to a point 20 feet from the other team's flag. She could hear the kids assigned to protect their flag talking. "There's no way they'd be able to get our flag," one said. Kahlen assumed since she could hear them that they could hear her. She went behind the sentries and grabbed the flag, breaking into a sprint.

Jade
She watched the two fight, wincing at the blood running down Alex's hand. She turned, feeling someone step into the river. Just a few feet away stood a tall Nike boy. He gave her a chilling grin, advancing with a sword at his side. Jade gave him a grin in return, laying her hand on her sword hilt. There was that tug in her gut, and she could feel the current obeying her will. It swirled furiously around his legs, but he seemed to ignore it. The water formed a swirling column around him, and Jade began to step forward to knock him out like the other boy when he walked through the water, sopping wet, that chilling grin on his face. "Nice try, water girl." He charged her, sword raised.
Jade barely had a chance to move. She rolled out of the way, using the water to propel her farther downstream. She came up from her roll with her sword in her hands. She wished she had had some training. Now she was at a stand-off with the Nike kid. "We always win, you know," he said casually, stepping toward her. Jade stepped back, staying out of the reach of his gleaming bronze blade. "I'm Nike's kid, goddess of victory and all that." He advanced again. When Jade stepped back, she found herself on the river bank, thinking nothing of it. The river was right there, she could still control it. Without warning, the boy charged her again, and this time she couldn't roll out of the way. She swung her sword up to meet his and they clanged together. He was taller, which was already an advantage, and stronger. Jade strained with all her might, but she knew she couldn't keep the blades locked forever. Suddenly, he pulled his sword away, and Jade tumbled to the ground, stunned. She could feel his sword point ghosting above her as he tried to decide how to put her out of the game. Jade tried to summon the water, lifting her hand, but his boot stomped into her fingers. "None of that now, water girl," he admonished. Jade bit back an insult, her hands stinging, and thought furiously, trying to figure out how to get out of this situation.

Kahlen
Kahlen heard the sentries behind her, yelling for backup. Luckily, most of their backup was trying to defend themselves. Kahlen led them through the forest, doubling back on them, then turning to the left and sprinting behind them. She hid under a small rock overhang.
Denver
Man, Denver was busy. There was no shortage of injured campers spread through the woods. This was gonna take awhile.

Eudora
Eudora walked quietly through the forest, listening and looking for anyone who wasn't on her team. And sometimes for people who were. She slipped over a log, landing on the other side without a single noise. She remembered when she was younger, always sneaking around school. Aparently that bad habbit was coming in handy for her.
"Eudora"
Eudora wipped around to see who had called her. No one around. She cocked her head confusingly. "Eudora" it said again. She stood stock still listening for anything more. Nothing. She turned around just in time to get clunked in the head with a hard metal something. Everything went black, and she fell backwards unconcious.
