Auberon
Auberon looked around then settled his attention back on Outlaw. The blood in her face was driving him insane, so he walked up to her and touched her face lightly. It started healing. "I think we are back in the actual forest."

Noah
He knew the remaining sixteen other riders were getting tired. Even his arms were sore from how many arrows he had sent spiraling down into the mess of monsters below them. The attacking army was not as organized as the demigods', despite having had more time to prepare. They had no infirmary - their wounded lay in the field, getting trampled by those behind them as they surged forward to replace the fallen. The dead disappeared in puffs of monster-dust, temporarily distracting, blinding, or disorienting those around them. Those that were on the ground, not yet dead, slowed down their allies. But for the demigod camp, it was much different. Medics moved the wounded and dead from the field. Noah had even spotted a few campers returning to the battle after being patched up, the ambrosia having healed the worst of their wounds. While the army attacking the camp was massive, it became obvious that it wasn't prepared for such a coordinated and prepared retaliation. Noah looked at the girl riding beside him, Lilly her name was, her light brown pegasus flapping its wings steadily. She raised her bow and fired an explosive arrow. Several monsters disappeared in an explosion of dust. He shot her a thumbs up before raising his own bow and sending a flaming arrow to the ground below. The Cavalry swooped lower as one, their mounts' hooves skidding over the heads of the monsters, some of which were struck and fell with a loud cry. An angry and afraid monster, upon seeing them approach, brandished his fist. Noah raised his bow to fire, but he was obstructed by Lilly, who darted ahead to get a good shot at a larger monster farther on. Noah cried for her to veer to the right as he saw what was about to happen, but his shout was lost among the enemy's chant. The angry monster who had brandished his fist ducked below the pegasus' hooves, but shot his hand in the air, grabbing the beast's ankle. The pegasus whinnied and kicked back, getting a good blow on the monster's face. But it did not let go. Noah spurred his pegasus on, unsheathing his sword, and he galloped toward the monster who was tugging the light brown mount toward him, a nasty sneer on his face as he got closer and closer to the struggling girl, who had no close-range weapon on her. "Lilly!" Noah yelled as he got closer, "Jump!" She looked round at him and nodded. She would jump from her pegasus to his. As he drew up beside her, she leaped into the air, her legs and arms peddling. Noah stretched out his hand to catch her. But she had jumped short. Her eyes widened with horror as she realized the mistake, and she plummeted toward the monsters below, who were ready for her. Noah leaned as far as he could, and his fingers grazed hers. He tried to grab her hand and yank her up, but it was too late. His stomach churned as her screams filled his ears before falling silent, struck by the heavy blow of some brute. The light brown pegasus had also been killed, and Noah had to fly higher. As soon as he was out of the monsters' reach, he turned back and began shooting arrow after arrow into the mass where Lilly had fallen, tears stinging his eyes. She had been a good soldier, a brave one. She hadn't deserved to die like that. Filled with blind anger, Noah hovered in midair, tirelessly nocking arrows to his bowstring. It gave him no pleasure when he killed the monster who had grabbed her mount. Finally, when he reached back for another arrow, his quiver was empty. He turned his pegasus toward the infirmary tent to get another quiver.

Auberon
Auberon sighed as he looked at the dogs. Truthfully he had become quite fond of them, even if one had tried to tear his back apart. "We can sneak them over to Denver and see if he has any ideas," he said.

Outlaw
"works for me" she said. "that means you have to stay RIGHT by me, and don't growl, bark, or ANYTHING" she informed the dogs sternly.

Noah
He had already dismounted when the remaining fifteen Cavalry members landed. None dismounted, but they all looked at him. "Why'd we return so soon?" one boy, an Ares kid named Gabe, asked. Noah gestured to his empty quiver. "Oh. How did you manage -" "Lilly died," Noah said, voice thick with emotion, and, turning, headed into the infirmary tent before he had to say anything more. He could feel their shocked stares boring into his back before the bustling business of the tent hid him from their view.

Jade
"Just passed a state border," Tod said. It broke Jade from her thoughts and she nudged him up next to Kahlen. Kahlen had her wall up. "Hey, Tod says we just passed a state border." Which state are we in now? "Virginia." "We're in Virginia, I guess."

Noah
He took the quiver and paused. "I have a question," he said after a moment. If there's any chance that we could get Lilly out of there, if she's alive... Lilly's death would hit the Cavalry hardest. The first three deaths had been hard, but Lilly? She was so brave and courageous, and she made sure nobody got left behind. Lilly was always upbeat and positive. She was always offering others a hand, helping everyone out, and giving inspirational pep talks. Noah shook his head. And now, she was gone. Just like that.

Auberon
Auberon smiled and ran towards the camp again. "Keep up!" he yelled back jokingly.

"do I ever not listen" she joked, and made sure the dogs where out of sight. "hopefully Denver has some ideas" she muttered to the dogs.

Auberon
Auberon wandered around the infirmary until he found Denver. "Hey Denver. You need help?"
