Eudora's head jerked up. "What?!"

She blinked, and her tent came back into view. Her smile faded and she furrowed her brow. "Wait," she said aloud, "what am I doing?" Nausea spun her stomach in circles as Noah's magic broke. "Oh, Alex," she whimpered, "I'm so sorry." The salty tears that snuck out of the corners of her eyes stung the burns on her face. It made her sick just thinking about it. She sat up in her bed and put her head in her hands, ignoring the searing pain. She deserved it.

He groaned. "Oh, no." He sat down in the grass. "If only we hadn't run into the cyclops," he said, thinking aloud. "We need to finish our quest as soon as possible, and find the fleece, and..." He frowned. "You didn't find Ares?" As soon as the words left his mouth a man sauntered into the camp, wearing a leather biker jacket.

Katie frowned. "But nobody's dead, right?" She rubbed tenderly at her eyes, still not really seeing, and brushed her hands over her neck, biting her lip as she felt torn muscle and LOTS of blood. "Can you lead me? I can't really see..." She admitted, tightening her grip on James arm.

"I BURNED DOWN THE BUILDING TO FIND YOU!!!" Eudora yelled when she saw Ares.

Ares
He simply looked at Kahlen. "Hello. I heard you guys were looking for me." He turned and glared at Eudora. "Don't push your luck, demigod. I was a bit busy. And don't blame me for your foolish actions."

Eudora stood up straight and gave a look that said my foolish actions? But she took his advise and didn't push her luck any further.

He rolled his eyes. "Heroes," he grumbled to himself. "Are you going to get to the point - since, like you said, you have a deadline -" he drew out the word mockingly, "or can I get back to what I was doing?"

"Good." Katie murmured distracted, and her ears strained - she could already hear yelling. "Ares." She muttered, frowning. She felt the Pesanta flick her leg with it's tail, alerting her to it's presence.
