I think my house may be haunted

I know this may be a joke to some people but bear with me as I tell you all the weird things that happen in my house.

1. My three cats will stare at nothing all the time, mostly at the ceiling and walls behind me. (One time they found a wolf spider but that was a one time thing)

2. My grandpa put hardwood floors throughout the house, and after one year they have settled, four years later they creak every night and they sound just like footsteps pacing back and forth.

3. I have a powerstrip in my room due to the wiring needing redone, the grounded lights went out, the bulb just died, the wires are still grounded, the light in the strip just died, literally almost every 16th it will suddenly start flickering like crazy out of nowhere, and if you say "Stop it, I'm trying to sleep" or "Virginia, your fine." It stops.

4. Once or twice things will randomly get thrown off the coffee table, none of the cats did it, they are all sleeping, and the dog didn't do it either.

5. I just randomly got a scent of lemons around the house... we only have one lemon scent handsoap in the kitchen, it hasn't been used recently, and it moved around the house, everywhere the previous owner liked to be in the house, she loved lemon sweet... its a tad creepy, now all we need is possibly her dog Libby.

Eeek does it creep you out or are you comfortable with it?

I'm okay with it, although the smelling lemons is new to me. I didn't know you could smell things with a possibly haunted house? But I also did know the lady who used to own the house too before she died, she was a kind lady.

Hmmm. I'd assume if things could be moved and what not, that smells are a possibility? Knowing the woman previously would make me more comfortable, usually I'm a big wuss.

Possibly, as long as I don't start hearing voices I'm good, I think that is where I would draw the line.

So far she has been with the occasional throwing things, don't know what she was mad about? Knowing her she could of forgot who me and my mom was again at first, she was starting to lose her mind due to Alzheimer's. But boy could she remember how to dial a phone fast, I can't tell you how many times a day she called the house because she was scared to be alone or she couldn't find her dog, Mason at the time after Libby had died.

In fact I'm highly shocked we aren't haunted by Libby, she's buried in my backyard in a child's casket -.-.

She could be mad because you have something she wants. See spirits will attract them selves to an object.

She must like coca-cola in her after life then, because that is want she threw at me, either that or she was telling me I need to stop drinking so much of it xD

Well defiantly sounds like something is in that house lol. I think it is pretty cool. I am used to these things mainly because I was raised in a few horses like this lol. One of them was soo bad i have not gone there sense i lived there. I am so terrified of that house to were i won't even step foot on the lawn much less into the house.

Well she used to have some really old alcohol bottles that were empty but would be worth some money to a collector, but they disappeared, and no one can find them.

Let me guess, demonic haunting?

The first thing sounds a lot like something in Doctor Who. It's called The Silence. You forget they were there when you don't see them. Maybe you just forget that you're seeing the Silence and all you remember is you're cats staring. ;D

And #2 could also be for the same reason, along with #4. The others... no explanation.

(Note: I'm just joking about The Silence lol)

@TidewaterCreek, I will if I start hearing disembodied voices, that is where I will draw the line, I'm pretty used to the things now, the lemon smell was a new one on me though, but it was one of the previous owners favorite smells (even if she couldn't smell anything)

I would love to have another in the house! I have family, but a spirit would be lovely! :D Hopefully she is a good roommate :D
