*EVENTS: What would you like to see?

So now that we've had our first event, it was rather small-scale.  For the next event, and future events, I'd like to flesh them out even more - specifically items, with a much bigger range of items to purchase and/or acquire throughout the event time.

I'd like to get your opinions on what items, decorations, maybe even events you'd like to see?

The next event will be Easter and will run from 10th-23rd April, so I would appreciate responses for that so I can bring you items that you'll love :D but I would also love to hear ideas for other events.

There is a huge gap in events between Easter and Halloween which I wouldn't mind some ideas for - I would like to run a Scavenger Hunt again, which I did a couple of years ago, but that's only one in a big 5 month gap.

To get Easter started:

You will collect Easter Eggs (for which there will be leaderboards) which will have a chance of netting you a Golden Egg (currency).

Golden Eggs can buy...
Special Items (undecided yet - possibly some more breeding items, as it's spring)
Decorations (bunny ears, chicks, bunnies)

Also, I love the Easter egg collecting idea. And maybe you could have little baby birds or something to put in the horses stalls?

I myself like the stat giving treats.

I dont do much with anything else as i dont wanna decorate my horses or anything

I'm very hesitant to give out any more stat boosts than what we currently have in the game, so unfortunately there will most likely not be any further stat items. I am focusing on breeding items, decorations, maybe something similar to the DNA tweaks, etc.

mmm, well maybe something for twins? a one-time thing

i've been debating on my current herd, about how im going to do the conversion and the breedings to try to get the most out of the lines i can.

I don't know how hard this might be artwise, but bunny ears for our horses would be adorable! I really liked the special tack items we had at Christmas before the recode also, but again - that would require more art. Maybe that could be scheduled for Christmas to give time for the art to be created?

As for the 5 month gap, what about a Luau event? Decorations could be tiki torches or hibiscus flowers. Items could be maybe "Ocean Water" which could give your horse a better chance of getting items when in Riding Schools or a better chance of placing in shows. Also, maybe Pearls which could give your horses an extra hour in Riding Schools or an Extra show.

Just throwing out ideas...

As for events in between, maybe a water fight? It could get a little to close to snowball fights, but I'm trying to figure out what special things I do in the summer.

Most of my Easter ideas have already been mentioned. Bunnies, bunny ears, maybe something to do with flowers and bows as decor.

-okay, that was a bit of overkill, but I really want a Halloween trick-or-treating event... like badly
-and special tack items, like the old Christmas tack, would be cool as well for Christmas maybe?

Something like a water balloon fight or something tropical-themed for during summer would be very fun.

Personally I would be interested in seeing more collectibles (like plushies) or usable items such as potions or DNA tweaks rather than decorations, as I favor something that either enhances gameplay or is an item you can show off in your display cabinet, rather than something that contributes simply to appearance and which I won't see often anyhow cause I don't frequent horse pages. *shrug*

I really like the Luau idea that Valzed mentioned.

It might be fun to sometimes have a special location in Leisure Riding open up only for the duration of an event, and there could be a higher chance of finding event currency there. Like for Halloween there could be a haunted forest to ride in, for winter there could be snow covered something, etc.

Something that might be fun leading up to events is a coloring contest for plushies, since there are so many artsy people around here.

I'm also a big fan of the idea of being able to change the backgrounds for our horses, so event themed backgrounds would be awesome. That's a big undertaking though, because it's a whole new thing to add to the game.

Something I'd love to see would maybe be a conformation re-roll. Normal store horses get 40-70 for each area, but to make this special perhaps this item could give 45-75? Nothing insanely high, but just a slight advantage, and having it as a limited event item would keep it from being overused. This might be a controversial idea, but I've always liked the idea of taking one of my current horses and having another go at their conformation.

For Easter stuff... since Easter is in a lot of ways about revival/rebirth, maybe something like the Time Twister that sets back time but only for a day? So a horse could be given this item and then can be treated again, trained again, etc. for a day's worth.

I love the Luau idea for a summertime event. Idk if it would work with the tack art but leis would be a cute decoration for horses. Maybe as a crown instead of a necklace so it won't interfere with tack art. I like Wicked's confo re-roll idea too. And I always like special plushies as event items. But please make the event currency available somewhere other than Leisure Riding. When I saw other members saying that their horses were getting non-specialty stats from LR I was afraid to use it!

Maybe each event could have one event themed background as a decoration item?

So for Easter it could be a spring meadow, maybe featuring an easter egg hunt or similar. Christmas could be a winter meadow at night with Santa's sleigh flying in the sky. Halloween could be a pumpkin patch and/or graveyard.

For a mid year event you could do summer solstice, which could be just a general summer themed event. Some other events that could happen any time could be themed festivals, for example Seaside Festival or Equiverse Regatta for something ocean themed. For inspiration you could look at the official month themes (not sure the correct name), for example May is Endangered Species month.

I think there should be events for each of the following holidays (but not just these, these are the ones primary in my country, and I know we're all from different places, so I'd definitely love to see other holidays as well)

New Years - would definitely love to see a plushie here, not sure about the event
Valentine's
St Patrick's - maybe follow/hunt down a leprechaun around EV or look for pots of gold to convert into gold bars or something that can be used as currency, and have things in the shop like a plushie of course, and probably some other items like triplet potions, etc.
Fourth of July - would definitely love to see a plushie here, not sure about the event, although i'd understand if this weren't made an event as it's a holiday exclusive to the us
Halloween - definitely love the trick or treating idea, i don't know how it'd work, but maybe we could go around to other people's pages/places on EV and try to collect something from them that can be converted into a currency to purchase stuff in the shop with, but i'd definitely love to see a plushie
Thanksgiving - would definitely love to see a plushie here, not sure about the event
Christmas - i'd definitely love to see something like a much more expanded version of secret santas and gift giving and would love to see a plushie here too

i'm sad to hear other stat boost treat items won't be coming around :( those were definitely something i looked forward to.

edit: i also love the other generic season events, maybe one for each season and with each season we get the chance to find the other plushies like the palomino plush, appy plush, etc.

The only problem I have with re-releasing the Holiday plushies is that they have a quite large drop in rarity. The Valentines plushie used to be quite rare, but now almost everyone has one, from what I've seen anyway. I'm not opposed to them being released, but I think they should cost more than 10 event currency items (like ruby hearts) in the future. I would hate to see some of the very rare ones become common- having rare things is why I collect plushies after all. I understand that they're not that important to the game, but they should cost more event $ than decorations in my opinion.
*note that I said "in my opinion"
(also, as a side note, my Birthday plushie is my pride and joy and I really hope that it doesn't get released again for that cheap, because it's quite rare and also was a credit item lol)
