original site layout before 2008 + old Appy art?

While I was Google searching EV for another player, I stumbled across this. Was this the original site layout before 2008?


And then, I found these picture of an Appaloosa that is not the pre-recode art or the current art...

lol wow. I think the top image is probably circa 2006 when the game started. The horse pictures are semi new though. Maybe 2010-2012 era? I think they are either the art before our current art, or the second most recent art we've had.

I edited with another Appy that is even different XD
and neither are from right before our current art. they had the same linearts as paints since January 2015 at least... I WANTED ANSWERS, GOOGLE, NOT QUESTIONS!

and apparently, via the brief explanation beside the image on Google, this was going to be the recode Appy art!

Appaloosas are mysterious...

In the first image, I think that that horse is the one that is above those four items.
(could be wrong, though.)

Abbey went through a couple of artists there a little bit ago. The last one you posted was done by a player here on EV if I remember correctly. However there was some copyright issues so it didnt get used.

The others were done/used just before the last pic. I dont think people liked the style so it didnt get used much either. Ithink

I thought I had some old stuff on my PB account but I guess I cleaned it out...took a trip down memory lane tho w/ all my old tags and layouts for EV and HL :3

yeah, I sometimes go back and look at my deceased horses from long ago and try and remember what they looked like before the recode
basically, I have nothing else to do XD

What's weird is that none of these look vaguely familiar to me, yet I had a veteran account to import lolol. My account says I joined in 2012, and tbh I thought this was a different sim game I used to play, which is why I gave importing my account a shot. But it's kind of neat seeing how far EV has come!
