Consistently losing money

Help... Kittie is bleeding money over here and I'm not sure how to get back...

What I do each day:

Feed all horses
Treat all horses
Play higher or lower
Show all horses (is it even worth it? What about player points??)
Gather daily interest
Making daily shows (30 for 10 dollars each)

Usually I do go in the red for a few days after I pay for stud fees and stuff but I usually get right back up there... however I'm not bouncing back like I would before. Is there a better way to earn some money?

I'm having this issue too. I get back like 1k if I'm lucky, and I don't know what's up with showing but I've tried every dropdown option for it and so far have lost thousands even though all my horses are getting in the top 3s most of the time.

Well... while it doesn't make me wanna jump for joy, at least I know I'm not alone.

I wish I had some helpful suggestions, but I'm really just commenting to chime in that I, too, would love some tips on how to break even at the very least D:

I relied on show income before the recode, and despite continuing to show the same horses, am consistently losing money to the system while also not gaining the stats that my few wins are supposed to give my horses (already reported via bug board).

I relied on show income, weekly allowance and the games before the re-code. I don't get an allowance now and don't have enough to put in the bank to garner interest and I'm struggling. The games just about allow me to break even

What about the other games, fountain?
Even without daily interest I break even or profit from the games and fountain daily.

From the Games, Fountain, & Shows I ended up +$38,438 today. I lost just under $400 between show fees and earnings on 18 horses.

I have been earning enough from 9 horses show plcements to pay the show fees and for those 9's treats + tack repairs daily. The fountain/games/interest would be all mine to pocket, if I didn't have so many active younglings to treat/vet/shoe.

I expect MOST people's monthly in/out to be very lobsided right now because of initial tack upgrades for whole herds, lost tack replacement+upgrades AND buying up divisions at 5K a pop. Also some probably bought up training slots.

Next month would be a much better indication of typical spending for most players.

See, I didn't upgrade any tack. I bought G5 stuff before the recode. And I've only bought a few divisions, my herd is very small compared to some.

I also don't have time for games D: half the time I get less than 1k from the fontain too.

I didn't spend a lot on my horses, and when I wrote down ONLY my horse expenses and earnings, I'm not doing well anyway. Just made my own thread about how I'm losing money every time I show too.

Games on this version have me making less than I'm spending.

I swear the coin toss is rigged; it consistently picks the opposite of what I choose EVERY GAME and I haven't gotten a penny from the apple game yet. I used to get at 3 in a row every day. I only profit off of higher/lower, which is a pretty small profit even if you get all of them correct.

(which is fine I'll just play less games/expect to lose on them)

Fountain doesn't give me jack most days either.

The coin toss works the same as the old version, :p maybe your luck had just changed. Typically choosing the same thing every guess is the best way to actually make some money on the coin toss. I definitely agree that the apple bobbing seems to have changed to become more difficult (Abbey may have altered the code some).

I've had better luck with the fountain on this version than the old version. (but that may just be me)

I'm waiting until the bank resets to see how much money I'm actually loosing daily (I spent a ton upgrading tack and getting my game in order lol).

Hmm, this is so odd lol there's a post on the game discussion post where so many people don't believe that people are struggling to make money on here, and yet here's this post. Please, if you guys could head over to that post and add to that discussion it'd help us out. I've already said my two copper on that post.

So have i. I left because I don't mix well with rude comments. I just escalate.

Last, at the fountain, try wishing for the horses. I've been getting more money doing that than wishing for money. Other than that, I'm relying on Coin Toss and Higher or Lower mainly. Before the recode, I bought some cheap, high-statted horses not in my breeding program and have made money showing them...hope this helps!
