What do you think?

#62565 Posted on 2016-08-22 08:43:42

I've never made any art on ev, but I did an art course recently, and learnt how to properly sketch a horse! What do you think of it:

:D I'm quite proud of it, because I've never been very good at drawing horses!

I like it!!

im always proud of the work I produce.. Because I'm not very good. But each time I do a new design.. I'm even more proud. And I'm sure you will be too. Keep at it!

I agree with Syn! It is nice quality art and with a little work you could make many similar (but even better!) sketches! :D

Fine by me! I have recently been designing a couple of things. We can maybe compare if you like? But.. When I get them to a half decent presentable state first haha.

I'm not an expert, but the neck looks a little thin to me?
Maybe try drawing the neck sort of like Syn's tag?
(Great job though)

Yeah, I kinda get what you mean! I'll try it with a thicker neck, thank you for the criticism! :)

CUTE!!!!!!!! I agree with PoniesStars, the neck could do with being a bit thicker.

Friendly Critique :D
You wouldn't be able to see where the far-sided leg connects to the body from this angle. And, yes, the neck is a bit thin. But great job!

Can you post the result here once you make the neck thicker? I would really like to see how it turns out. :)

Other than what Raptorfang said about the legs, and the neck being to thin, the head is slightly to small I think. nd not really correctly shaped. The jaw "line" I usually draw coming up past the neck, to shjow separation of the head and neck, because you usually see that on a real horse. And where you going for a roman face? If not, there should be a bit more of a slope after the eyes.
But as a beginner it isn't to bad! I remember not to long about when my horses where very very very bad, so all it take is some effort and practice! I'd really like to see an updated version!
