I do agree that gelding a brand new foundation is pointless and a little weird.
I've seen a handful of them in the RC and I can't imagine what reason people have for doing that 0.0

I don't know. Maybe people want to make sure that someone else doesn't get a horse for $200 that they had to pay $1000 for, and figure that no one will adopt a gelding? But that seems like such a case of biting off your own nose to spite your face, since you'd have to dump even more money into the horse to geld it.

Or maybe people feel that if a horse doesn't meet their personal standards, no one should be able to breed it. That it will bring the breed down or something.

That's all I can think of, why someone would geld a brand new foundation horse and dump it in the Rescue Center. Maybe I'm missing something.
