[ADDED] *Breeder Prefixes & Easy-See Confo

I'm kind of thinking along the same lines as Kahzie here.. yes it's a very popular idea, and it does simulate real life.. however there is a breeder ID option which you can search for? It does feel like an unnecessary update to me, but if there's a good reason for me adding it then I'll do so.

Is it just an extra personalisation thing that you want?

I don't like the concept of permanent brands. The current system that shows "bred by" on the horse's page, and allows people to name the horse anything they like, with or without a brand if they choose, seems adequate to me. I feel this meets the needs of the breeder having a permanent mark linked to them on the horse, and the owner being able to add a mark to the horse if they want.

Some sort of extra personalisation that just adds a pictogram to the horse's page seems superfluous, and could have issues such as people forgetting to add it before selling, or other people branding a horse that some other players feel (rightly or wrongly) that they don't have the right to brand, or some people feeling a particular permanent mark is ugly or undesirable, thus devaluing the horse or making it harder to sell.

UB: I see your points, and maybe only breeders can add prefixes?

Then what about foals from brood mares? The breeder listed is the one who owns the mare, despite the fact that any reasonable person would consider the person who commissioned the brood to be the foal's breeder, and should therefore have all the rights that entails. I don't think any type of permanent brand could work, and a non-permanent one is just the system we already have.
