"I could put a hole in your head anytime I wanted to.. but your savvy little life ain't worth it..." She sneered to the girl. Hate raged through her as she held her gun close.

Levi/Aviana

Don't, Levi he could be lying. Aviana looked at her brother pleadingly as he moved to get down from the gunners seat.
He rubbed his face hard, clearly deep in thought, This is a mess, do we have any vests? he asked her, trying to go over all of the supplies they had snagged from the military base.
No, just ammo and MREs. she sighed.
Levi straightened up and popped his head back through the gunners hole, Halfway, no weapons. he called back.
Aviana sulked in the drivers seat. You are going to get yourself killed...
So be it. Just get yourself out of here if anything goes bad. he retorted.
She was stunned by his comment, he wanted her to leave him behind? That was nonsense and she already pushed it aside.
Levi took advantage of the moment of silence to watch the store front carefully through the powerful sniper scope, trying to gauge if this stranger would stick to the no weapon rule. There was a large rifle slung over his back as of the moment.

Derik was clearly hesitant, but nodded reluctantly, "Very well, no weapons!" He placed his rifle down carefully, propping it up against an empty shelf. He then pulled out Irene's guns, and handed it over to her with a stern look in his eyes. "Behave." He said softly, and lightly patted her shoulder. He glanced at Alex, slowly shaking his head at her as if pleading her to calm down. He stepped out of the store, "I'm unarmed, it's your turn."

Irene gripped her duel pistols, looking anxious, and for the first time, worried. She tapped her feet, adjusting her grip on her guns. She felt the need to shout out a warning threat, but held back with a struggled groan.

Levi/Aviana

Levi watched the stranger un-arm himself. When he was finished he looked up from the scope, slung the rifle over his shoulder and stepped down from his perch. The door of the hummer squealed as it opened slowly. He placed the sniper rifle on the seat next to the powerful shotgun.
Don't be a jerk... Aviana pleaded, hoping that he wouldn't get himself killed. She gripped the carbine harder, and climbed into the backseat.
Levi slammed the door shut as Aviana took his place on the gunners mount. Un-armed. he called, holding his hands in the air.

"Halfway." Derik nodded slowly toward the other man, raising his hands up to match him. He hesitated, studying him, and then began taking slow but determined steps toward the halfway point. He eyed their surrounds carefully as if expecting someone else to pop out, throwing out threats. As he began nearing the fair point, be began speaking. "The past year we have been searching for survivors, but recently we've decided to focus more on surviving. We've come across some crazy people, we want a new life. You see, my sister and I are heading south east. Everything here is practically looted. You should come." He cut right to the chase.

"Derik, you idiot!" Irene screeched, but he held out a hand to her with a shake of his head. She quieted down, but began pacing like an angry lion. She lifted her gaze, and noticed a flash of movement in an alley across the street. She frowned, furrowing her brows when a pair of reflecting eyes met hers. A dog. She blinked, and just like that, it was gone.

Alex watched as Derick stepped forward " shut you mouth shuck face!" she said in a loud whisper as she covered Irene's mouth. " he's smart... let him do what he is gonna do" She said noticing the dog that Irene was lookin at. " that dog'll scrape our bones clean... it aint no man's best friend.." she said in a loud whisper almost sounding like she was joking.

Levi/Aviana

Levi nodded and started talking steps towards the other man, his peripheral vision locked on the store front for any signs of movement. He was taken aback as the stranger told him of their plans, Why would someone willingly give up their plans? he thought to himself. The younger woman yelled at the man and a small smirk came to Levi's face, Maybe he's not lying then. After a moment of careful consideration Levi spoke We've been wandering since the outbreak, it's been easier to find diesel for the humvee than gasoline for a car.He paused trying to read the strangers reaction. Haven't met anyone but you all in the last year or so. I apologize if we came off as rude, our manners are a bit rusty.
Aviana watched through the low power scope of her carbine. Her breath held as the two men neared. Don't get sassy Levi.... she pleaded internally, hoping that her thoughts would somehow reach him.

"Just be glad that you haven't run into anyone else." Derik sighed quietly, and dropped his hands to his sides. He hesitated, looking back at his sister and the others with hesitation. "We should probably stick together, who knows what's out there." He said slowly, lifting his chin just as a rumbling down filled the silent air. He froze, his hands go to his shoulders instinctively, but remembered his rifle was left back in the store. He frantically looked around for the source until a large pack of about twenty stray dogs, ran out of the alleys silently, their feral eyes glaring at the two men in the middle of the road.

Irene froze, her jaw dropping in a mix of disbelief. He didn't know what to do with the situations, the dogs didn't growl or bark, they only stared at the men silently. Two large German Shepherds leaped into the store through the broken windows, staring at the small group. They lowered their heads, and narrowed their eyes carefully on them.

Levi/Aviana

Aviana's gaze bore into the back of her brothers head. What was that?! She quickly focused her scope to the left, their was movement in the alley.
When you have a sister who talks as much as mine, sometimes I wish we had. Levi chuckled trying to lighten the atmosphere between him and the stranger.
Dogs? What the... Aviana swallowed hard as she watched the pack of dogs surround her brother and the people trapped in the shopping center. She looked around her area quickly, it seemed that the dogs had not seen her and she quickly moved into action, sliding from the gunners mount to the drivers seat.
Levi saw movement and his head turned to the dogs that surrounded them. Dogs...? his gaze returned to the stranger thinking this was his doing. To his surprise the man looked just as confused as himself. He shot a quick glance over his shoulder towards the hummer, catching the movement from the gunner seat to the driver seat. He nodded to the driver.
Aviana caught the slight nod from her brother and threw the hummer in gear then pushing down on the accelerator stealing the giant vehicle towards the two men.
