World At Its Worst (Roleplay)

Keeden heard more. Henry closely followed as his tall sister carefully led the way out, gripping his BB gun. Hands trembling, he turned the saftey off. The red haired woman carefully stalked forward, her arms holding the hand gun swiveling. "Who ever is there, come out." She glanced at her brother. Scared, she told him to run, but he stayed stubbornly put.

Irene shot her gun after the stranger but missed by a couple of inches. She swore, and and kicked the nearest shelf with anger. She stomped over to her brother with a frown on her face. "You! I had her!" She angrily pointed at Alex, raging much like an angry bull would. She kicked the counter, crossing her arms, "She had supplies, weapons!" She threw her hands over her head, guns and everything.

"Irene, enough. She was innocent, and it wasn't Alex's fault. She didn't know." Derik grumbled, even though he was a little upset with the loss as well. He stood up, and brushed himself off. He nodded in greeting to the girl, raising a brow at her jail suit outfit. He came out from behind the counter, "Lets just keep-" He stopped when he heard another voice, and quickly reequipped his weapon. He saw Irene grin, and begin toward the voice, but he held out a hand to stop her, shaking his head. "I don't think so, you come out!" He called back.

Alex

Alex still in shock looked at her " I wouldnt waste a bullet on her even if i wanted to!now drop it!" She screeched as she grabbed Irene's gun and looked to Irene. "Derrick what...what are you doing here?" She said as she looked at him not focused on Irene and the situation. "I thought you were...dead" She said giving him a Blank look griping her gun looking around.

Keeden stepped out, handgun extended. Henry cowered behind her back, trembling, bb aimed at Irene. "Who are you?" Keeden spat. "I don't want to hurt anyone."

Levi/Aviana

Aviana jumped at the sound of the gun going off and Levi spun towards the sound, he kept the metal shield facing forward with his sniper rifle slotted in the middle. 3 o'clock 200 meters. Woman on the balcony, jumpsuit, orange. he called out to his sister almost instinctively.
Aviana peeked her head over the steering wheel looking to her right where her brother had called out the woman. An orange jumpsuit? her eyes widened slightly in realization. She's an escapee Levi, she must have gotten out when this thing spread.
Levi snorted, She hasn't seen us, lets just see what's going to happen. he said softly, not wanting to draw attention to the large vehicle.
A ton of commotion happened not even five minutes later as the woman in the orange jumpsuit fired again. Aviana flinched and Levi cursed under his breath This woman is insane, firing off that weapon like it's a roman candle. Through the scope he saw a young woman flee from the back of one of the stores and into the passenger side of a vehicle. A young woman just fled to a vehicle about 350 meters away. He turned his scope to the store front and watched as the woman in orange confronted a male that was in the same store and grabbed a hold of the girl he was with. I dunno, this is looking pretty crazy 'Ana, she grabbed another woman.
Aviana struggled to peer over the large steering wheel and squinted to get a better look at the struggle. Levi, shoot her, shes going to kill that woman!
Levi grunted and kept his gun pointed at the woman in orange. He didn't really want to shoot her if he didn't have to, that would be a waste of a life, especially now that most of the humans on the planet were gone. Further more, from this range he had no chance at missing and would most likely blow a decent sized hole through the woman with the large caliber rifle.
Two small children rounded the corner a moment later, Kids got a BB gun. he said, a small chuckle escaping him.
Aviana's gaze rested upon the two younger beings, Levi!! This is getting bad!! Do something!! she spoke in a loud whisper, trying to convey her concern.
Levi sighed and re-positioned the heavy rifle in the LMG socket of the gunners mount. What would you like me to do? Start putting holes in people?
Aviana glanced back at him Not all of them, just her.
That's very brave of you sis, but not at all how this works. Levi returned sternly. Give me your pistol. he said as he reached a hand towards her, eyes still upon the scene.
Aviana sighed and puled the M-9 out of it's holster on her leg and handed it to him butt first.
Levi pulled it away, unlocking the safety without looking and pointed it towards the group of people before them. He aimed at the glass panels around the people, picking his targets wisely so that the glass would not fall and cut someone. He pulled the trigger, once, twice, three times, hitting each window in succession, the glass shattered and fell.
Aviana released a shaky breath what no-
Put your weapons down! Levi yelled from the gunners seat, he flipped the safety on the pistol and dropped it to the seat below him and grabbed onto the rifle. The safety flipped off and he cocked the rifle quickly, the loud sound carrying across the parking lot. I will blow a hole in the next person who moves too quickly or aims a gun at someone else!! he shouted.
Aviana's heart was racing, the adrenaline coursed through her as she waited for what seemed a lifetime as the people calculated what was said and moved into motion.

Alex
Alex shifted her attention to the car " what a big lunatic... surprised he didnt have holes in him already" she sneered giving a grin. She held both pistols in both hands as she gave them a look. She stood in the middle of the situation " well isnt this a nice meet and greet? til you ease droppers showed up" she sneered giving a glare. " you think im the threat now dont you? ... nothing to worry about... just stole a couple things thats what got me put in there.." she said almost touching the car. She looked at the driver and batted her eyes in a hastful way. " i wasnt going to hurt anyone... just meeting up thats all... and it seems you hear just like to interrupt things now don't you???"

Derik was about to respond to both of the girls when the glass shattered around them, and he quickly grabbed his sister, pulling her down. Irene grunted at his weight, and ended up landing on her bum, and groaned in agitation. She pointed at Alex angrily, "Look what you did! Your monkey suit got us noticed." She shoved Derik off of her, and held her guns close, refusing to put them down. She looked toward he source of the offender, and shouted in his general direction, "Who are you to be making demands, you jerk?"

Derik placed his rifle down, and slapped a hand over Irene's mouth. "Shut up." He said simply, and looked around for the male voice. "How about you come out, and then we can talk!" He suggested calmly with with a sharp edge to it. He kept his hand on Irene's mouth because it seemed to be working, his sister was fuming to herself quietly.

Alex

Alex glared at Irene " Me? My fault? Well it seems you cant keep you mouth shut shuck face! So maybe thats what got him over here? huh? you ever think of that Little Bo Peep?! Looks like you lost your sheep alright..." she said sneering and crossing her arms at Irene.

"Are you stupid?" Irene slapped Derik's hand away, and lifted her guns up, aiming directly at Alex's face. "How did you make it this far?" She cocked her guns, just itching to pull the trigger until Derik snatched the guns from her. "Derik-"
Derik placed her guns in his belt, glaring at both of the girls. "It was both of your faults, so the both of you can be quiet. When you're done having a temper, you can have these back." He said to his sister, his expression slowly softening. "We need to get you some more pills." He sighed, which only caused Irene to cross her arms, and look away as she seethed. "You, please refrain from calling my sister names. It won't help the situation." He rubbed his face tiredly as he raised a brow at Alex.

Alex

"Okay..d da d!" She said jokingly as she rolled her eyes at hi. Giving him na grin. She held her hands on her hips as she stood there. Looking at Irene. She looked around to the car I wich the driver had aid nothing.

Carefully, Keeden lowered her gun, glaring at the man. "You blow a hole in him," she muttered, "I'll blow your failing head off." She snatched Henry's hand, which had just finished returning saftey to his gun. He worriedly glanced at his sister, who just gave a death stare to Irene and the escapee.

Juliette heard shouts coming from the convenience store, then gunshots, and then glass shattering. "Good thing I got of out there," Juliette said to herself while looking over the map. There was one last place she hadn't tried yet, and that is where she would head. Juliette opened her backpack and stuffed the map back in, then took an old piece of bread. She finished the bread slowly, then opened the door of the car. Juliette climbed out, sliding the backpack onto her shoulders and clutching her bow and arrows. She scanned her surroundings once again, then took off into a run for a cluster of nearby buildings. Juliette slowed to a jog as she reached the closest building to her right, then loaded an arrow. Juli stayed in the shadows as she progressed along the side of what used to be a full-scale store now turned to a few walls and ashes. After a couple minutes of walking, Juliette turned a corner and saw what she was looking for. The little run down store stood forgotten and vacant. Juliette broke into a run again and burst into the store. The lights were off and dangling, but the natural light that flooded in was enough to see the shelves. On the first shelf was 5 bottles of water, and below it was a bag of dried fruit. Juliette swung the backpack off her shoulder and zipped it open, then started to stuff the nearly empty backpack with the supplies. When she finished, Juli looked around the store. She found a bag of beef jerky, a couple cans of beans and soup, and another water bottle. Juliette zipped up the backpack, which was now very full, and did a final scan. Not a trace of food or supplies left now. She lifted the backpack back onto her shoulders and adjusted her bow, then started to run back to her car.

(I was a pretty good distance away from everyone at 200 meters, you wouldn't be able to just waltz up to the hummer without having some sort of retaliation, but whatever, it happened I guess)

Levi/Aviana

Levi sneared down at the woman in the orange jumpsuit, You think you are so bold, so daring and scary waving those pistols around like some sort of mobster. Well all I see is a little girl calling out for some attention. he swiveled the gunners mount in her direction, keeping the steal plate between him and the woman. His sniper rifle was mounted in the LMG socket, pointing straight at the woman. Another female called out to him asking for his rights, Im glad you asked he called back Levi Johnston, Staff Sergeant, Marines Special Forces, I was just trying to diffuse the situation ma'am you all looked a little stressed.
Aviana signed from the passenger seat, My idea would have been better... she mused still hiding behind the steering wheel, with the thick layer of metal between her and the outsiders.
Levi grunted in response but said nothing to his sister. The male with the group called for him to exit the vehicle.
Don't, Levi they have more weapons than we do all together and they have numbers... We have the safety. she warned pleadingly.
How about I stay right here since you can hear me just fine. Levi called out in response, 'Ana, just sit there and be quiet please, I can't think with you commenting about everything...
Aviana sighed and grabbed her pistol from the backseat, she shoved it back into the holster on her leg and grabbed the carbine rifle from the seat beside her. She flushed off the safety and lay the rifle across her lap.
Levi watched the tussling that went on in the store, guns came up once again and his muscles tensed waiting for someone to pull the trigger. You guys have this all under control. Levi shouted, chuckling loudly so they could hear him across the parking lot.
The young girl with the boy who had the BB gun called out next and Levi almost choked on a laugh I wasn't talking about you sweetheart, you should have ran when I gave you the chance, now you are stuck in this mess still.
Movement caught his eye from the car in which the other woman had escaped, it seemed as though she had gotten the idea and took off when she had the chance. At least one of them was quick enough to get away. he thought to himself.
His attention once more fell to the store front, waiting for an answer.

Irene seemed ready to retort something back to the so-called stall sergeant, but Derik beat her to it. "Very well, Mr. Johnston! You sound like a reasonable man, but what exactly do you plan on doing just sitting there?" He slowly picked up his rifle, and slung it over his shoulder with the strap. "How about we meet each other half way? Just you and me, we can settle this." He said reasonably, hands raised up to show that he clearly meant no harm. He took a slow step step toward the broken windows. "I was in the military as well, you see. Air Force, a Senior Airman, a quick promotion after boot camp. Derik Pearivil."

Irene snorted at her brother's tactic, "If you count thirty-six months as quick." She mumbled, and bounced on the balls of her feet. Her fingers drummed against the handle of her bat covered in deadly nails. Her temper seemed to be slowly easing, her shoulders weren't as tense, but her signature frown was still present on her lips.

Henry was scared. Tears exploded from his eyes, and he dropped his gun. He plopped down behind Keeden and bawled. His sister glared at him, her own gun at her side. She kneeled down and wiped his face. "Hush," she whispered in his ear. "I'll find a car later."
