This suggestion has been marked as "Added To The Game". Thank you, 𝙺ᵃˡⁱ 𝙿ⁱᶜᵏˡᵉ'ˢ 𝙷ᵒʳˢᵉˢ, for the suggestion and to those of you who supported for making Equiverse better!

It seems everyone I've talked to thinks snowballs are kinda uncommon, and I agree. Maybe make them appear more often to keep the snowballing going? Just, maybe, increase the chance of finding snow by 125% if that makes sense :)

@Maple~ I only ever have 0-4 on hand, and I practically never refresh my page :P

Edit: thank you so very much River, it's so much easier now♥♥ plus, I think more snowballs means higher chance of snowflakes, right? anyway, thank you again♥♥

I’ve found 20ish snowballs just from training a small herd and general site browsing for about half an hour. I don’t think the likelihood needs to be increased.

If you’re not finding any, make sure you don’t already have 10 snowballs on hand and are visiting different pages. You won’t get snowballs by refreshing the page repeatedly.

support. personally, I find this kind of events exhausting than fun. I participated in last year's snowball event and I had to spend so much time wandering the game aimlessly to gather snowballs after taking care of my herd. The shop wasn't even open until the very last min because we weren't able to hit 100%. With my herd, I only gained less than 15 snowballs a day so I had to wander the game aimlessly all day to get more than 20 snowballs a day if I want to keep up with others or be able to buy stuff from the event shop.

Maple finds 20 snowballs in a half hour,  I find 23 in 2 days.  I've always wondered how people find so many. Is my luck that atrocious?  I'd like to be able to casually play and still get a few things from the shop, but last year I didn't even get 20 crystalized snowflakes over the entire event.

And for clarity, I rarely have more than 3 snowballs on hand, and I am on different pages trying to find them.  Today I found 3 over the course of handling my small 44 horse herd.  That includes auto-care, auto-show, training, manually treating, using boost points, bank, farm, leisure riding, fountain, foal training, junkyard, and a few riding school results.  All those page and only 3 snowballs.  Eventually, I run out of pages to purposefully visit and just jump back and forth between a few, which is boring as all get out, because it's the only way to get anything,  And even then, they take a while for any to actually show up.  And I can only do that for short periods of time, because flickering pages is a visual trigger for my motion sickness.  :)  Like Lucia, I average closer to 15 snowballs a day.  Maybe very active and moving players can find more, but casual players could use a hand.

given that it's all random it is technically possible for a lot of us to have terrible luck. rare for it to happen, but it is possible. my side account had better luck yesterday even though i use it much less, didn't get nearly as many snowballs as i have here, but the amount of snowballs i got for the time i spent on my side was weirdly higher..

I’m trying to remember what time I was on that I kept finding them, it was quite late for me so it would have been peak player time. I only trained and schooled horses yesterday. I’m not sure if the amount of players online might affect chances of finding them?

@Timbergray - exactly. Last year, I only participate because of the event items. I was still a newbie at that time and event items could be very useful for me for reselling purposes since I needed money. It took me forever to gather enough flakes to buy a few items. I remember wandering through multiple pages aimlessly for hours and still only managing to get like less than 5 snowballs.

Personally, I noticed that the game usually gives me more snowballs when I take care of my horses. The problem is, I only have 40-ish active horses. Once I am done taking care of them, then I start to struggle to get snowballs.

i usually participate mildly in all the events and used to not have any horses to be continously clicking through so it would make sense then for me to not find much each event, but now i do, and i have been logging in probably 15-20 times a day and i find maybe 15 snowballs a day. i do agree that sometimes these events feel exhausting because you have to work extra hard to be able to get any of the special items. i do understand they're supposed to be special items, but it would be nice to be able to get more from the events.

edit: not to say i am not grateful for these very cute free events at all ♥ it would just be nice to be able to get more out of them

Snowballs are not that uncommon (keep in mind that despite my huge numer of snowballs, I don't care manually for my horses and thus I get less of them than I normally would), knowing how to navigate the page I can easily do around 50 daily.

The issue is the snowflake drop, which is awfully low. I have 45 snowflakes atm but that includes my last year ones.

I do wonder if the items are too expensive compared to the more recent events (snowball was the first event and there was more players able to participate for longer). I noticed the halloween items were priced a lot cheaper by comparison. I do agree that crystallised snowflakes are a lot harder to gain.

So really the complaint isn’t about the snowballs (given there are 100+ thrown by Kali) but more the rarer event currency. Which I can understand since other events feel a lot easier to get currency in.

now that sikora and maple bring the snowflakes up, that does make a ton of sense. i think i might've found 5-8 so far since the event started. i'm pretty sure i noticed my number of snowflakes from last year around 25 when the event first started and i only have 33 now.

actually yes... i've noticed events aren't really balanced equally. that can keep them from feeling too similar i guess but like with the last 2 events (halloween and fall leaves i think?) i don't have any trouble gathering enough seasonal items for the rest of the year. but with the snowball fight and maybe... valentine's? i can barely buy enough items for all the work i put into finding currency. it could either be currency drop rate or item price or both, not really sure but it does feel harder for sure. on the other hand i think the stargazing event is a bit too easy lol, i remember drowning in backgrounds and rump stars every time xD

I'm not trying to sound like I'm exceptionally complaining or bitter about it.  I kind of alternate between resigned amusement at the low count and mild frustration at the most.  I do wish they were easier to find, because I've never had much luck finding them, but I know some people find them more easily.  Though, it would be pretty interesting to know if number of players online impacted the rate they were found at or not.  That would indicate that their generation would be based on total site activity rather than just individual activity and would be very useful in managing expectations of how many we might find at any given time based on factors outside of our own actions.  :)

Personally, I like the balance between activity and currency collection of the Valentine's Day event best.  Sadly, this event doesn't utilize leisure riding so I don't even unlock my horses on my side account to play this one.  I spend more time on the site during the event in February because I can get further with my effort in it.  But for those who don't like leisure riding, or have their horses locked, I know that event can be frustrating too.

The issue is both snowballs and currency.  Snowballs are needed to open the shop, so the number found (or needed to open the shop) is still important.  And if you found more snowballs, you'd have more chance of finding snowflakes.  If the snowflake drop was increased per snowball instead, we'd still need the amount of snowballs thrown to open the shop to go down so it doesn't just open last minute and risk people not being online to get things form it (like me last year.  XD  My own fault, but still. . .)

Well I think what hasn’t helped regarding the snowballs is lower participation, either from lack of time or inclination (I definitely don’t have as much time anymore), compared to when the event first opened. The event has been extended a couple times due to this so I wonder if maybe the amount could be lowered or if the event shop should auto unlock with a set amount of days remaining, though I believe this happened last year too.

I would just be worried about increasing snowball count when there was complaints about seeds/shards getting in the way of training and showing in the past.

there's been quite a few people disliking the events, not just recently but people have felt that way for a while now. i think the opting out suggestion from a while back would help but that would in turn make these types of events even harder for the rest of us who do participate unless the snowball meter is changed somehow (like scaling to how many people are opting in or something)
