Blankets in addition to flysheets

I think it'd be neat if we could have blankets since we have flysheets. As flysheets are a summer thing, why not alter the art a little bit to make it opaque instead of making new artwork? It could add another small money sink for horse accessories and help dress up our ponies for winter♥ I don't think it'd be super hard, but if you don't support it, please tell me why, I'd love to know. Additionally, if you have something to add please do!

I do support this, but at the same time I don't support it. I do think that blankets should be a choice to purchase so people can choose to swap if they would like or have the blanket on the entire time they have the horse, but the in game seasons only last 1 irl week before moving to the next season. That's 3 weeks of the month that the horses would have flysheets, versus the 1 week that they would have blankets. It may also add to item/equipment clutter within the game. (I could be wrong about that however.) That would be a lot of equipping and unequipping items to all your horses. I think the flysheets are a good substitute and compromise to blankets, since they look similar. Just the flysheet is more transparent than a traditional blanket.

i don't match my horses to in-game seasons, only to whatever background they have on (which they keep for the rest of their life) so i'm not sure how common it is to swap decor around with the seasons? it just seems like too much for me to do every week, plus i like some seasonal versions better than others. but also this suggestion already brought up the idea of blankets along with some other ideas.

@Deer Creek I wasn't talking about in-game seasons, but rather rl seasons, so for monthly club mascots they could be in season with winter backgrounds and decor.

@Kali - That makes sense. I was just thinking about matching in games seasons, but yanno they don't last long so that's why I said I didn't support it, but I do support the idea of having a wider variety of cosmetics to add to the horses. I like the idea of having blankets to match the colder in game backgrounds, and then the fly sheets to match the warmer in game backgrounds. I also would like to see colored splint boots to match the saddle pads, since the splint boots are already in the game and I don't think too much coding would have to be put in place for the new change. I don't think the ear bonnets (as suggested in the other post) would be super useful, but that's just me since I'm not a big fan of them irl. Lol. However that doesn't mean that I think they shouldn't be in the game. 

I was told by Maple that colored splint boots are on the way, along with customizable endurance tack :D Also, did you ever wonder that if a year is one week, why does a season last all year? So in the EV universe, you have to wait 4 years for spring to roll around. I'm not sure about bonnets, I played another game that had them and it looked great, but the tack was purely cosmetic. Plus, saddles and saddle pads were separate items so idk :/

Personally, it's a very low priority for me. I don't really use decors like flysheets and halters so far. However, I think it would be cool to have the option to buy blankets in the future if I ever decide to start using decors.

Me neither lol😅 my bank account will hurt- I am very particular about my balance, it can't be a random number, it has to look clean, so so 1,213,839. It has to be 1,212,500 if I can't do 1,210,000. So if I buy things I can't just take out the exact number, to has to end in 0.
