Fantasy Horse RP

Elijah
     Elijah was just minding his own business when one of the mares had charged and nipped at him. Did he do something wrong? Maybe this was just a bad idea he thought. When another mare walked up to him he just shook some dirt and mud off him, "I-t"s fine," he said. It had started to get dark, and his horn had started to glow a bit. Elijah looked up at the sky once again. It was a habit for some reason, but he didn't quite no why. Just another thing he didn't know about. Why did Star even want a stallion like him in the herd? I'm just a loner, a nobody that doesn't know anything he thought.

By night fall, every herd member had gone to a place to sleep. But StarDust stayed up to protect them. She rarely slept. So she wondered where she got the energy to even stay on her wings when in flight and on her feet when on the soft ground with the others. She didnt know.

When her son was finally snuggled in with Pepper and Ariena, she went to check up on their newest member, Elijah.  SHe didnt have to travel too far. When she saw him, she stopped when her heart fluttered.  Every time i see him I go crazy. My every heavy heart is playing tricks on me. she thought as she just stood there. Her blue eyes never leaving him  He is the secret to my heart... but I have to  get him to open up about what seems to be bothering him

She watched him a while later before elegantly walking to him and greeted him with a flutter of her majestic wings and a bow of her head " I hope you are feeling comfortable. But.... I just had a question... what is is it that keeps you shying away from me? Is there something  you wish to tell me?" her tail swishing from side to side.

Elijah
     He looked over at the mare, and sighed. "There's only one thing I remember from my past." he said. "The reason I am the way the am. The reason why I was a loner, and scared everyone off...to protect them. I was only 2 years old, with nobody. Some older colts I came across frequently, had picked on me because I was a loner. I had no parents. They bullied and bullied me worse than ever before. Eventually my emotions and magic went wild." he said pausing reliving something he wished he forgot. 
     "I had no control, and due to me somehow knowing more spells than most unicorns, things only got worse. My eyes glowed brighter than ever, as well as my horn. The colts were blasted away, and I don't know what happened to them to this day. Everything had been destroyed. All because of me. A two year colt that was on his own." he said looking at Star with tears forming. "I was able to fix everything, but no one knows who did. I haven't used much of my magic since. So since then, I was a stallion that played tricks and games to scare everyone away to stay a loner. That is until you came along."

“ Elijah…  you can trust me when I I say that whatever you tell me I always keep it between us. “ StarDust said walking closer to him “ I  just let all your emotions and fear  out. I can handle it all.  Im a pegasi for a reason. “ she chuckle as she spoke “ You seem to struggle with your past. You aren’t alone. All of my members did to. So you can know that if you have struggles,  someone right beside you has struggled too. "

Then when she was noze to nose with him, she just touched his muzzle with hers before stepping back “ First thing to do is trust every single one of us in my herd, Elijah.  Trust goes before a fall as my father used to say”

 

Elijah
     "You don't get it. The only I remember, the only thing I know, harmed everyone around me. I hold a burden each and every day wondering what had happened to them." he said looking at her with fear in his eyes. "I don't know anything about myself...I'm pathetic." he said looking down at the ground. When her muzzle touched his, he kinda froze. Elijah felt different in that moment. What he didn't know was that it was love. The stallion would learn what love was soon enough, but he just looked into her eyes. 
     With it being night, his horn glew. The darker it was, the brighter it glew. He had no control over it as most of his magic. "I don't even know how to use most of my magic. I've never really used it since what happened. Even then I don't even know if I knew how to use it." he said with a sigh. Why does she still want me? he thought.

StarDust nuzzled him again “ you need to relive the harshest of times, Elijah…  and I am willing to help you. No matter what happens, Im not giving up a single fight til you get control of your magic.  And when you do…. You wil have the power within yourself to  really fix what had happened. You just need to focus and trust me”
 
But trust with Elijah was a problem. StarDust didn’t know hat to expect… but  she  was positive  that nothing would go wrong. But something would and she would or someone in her herd would get hurt. But she was willing to take the risk.

“ Just try it out one bit at a time and don’t let it escape all at once.” She said trying to calm him a little but it would turnout that it would do the total opposite.

Elijah
     He sighed, “I don’t even know what happened to those colts or if they’re stallions now. I did my best to fix everything after what happened, but I never found them.” Though he was going to give it a shot. The stallion had to get control of his magic now that he was in a herd, but until then he was a threat. Elijah looked around and found a nearby tree that wasn’t too big or too small. He faced the target, and his horn started to form a glowing string that circled around his horn. The tree had started to burn as it eventually caught on fire. Elijah tried to get the fire to stop, but it only made things worse.
     A ball of fire had shot straight at him landing right on his shoulder with enough force to bring him down. The stallion stopped using his magic as the glowing string disappeared as well as the fire with only smoke leftover. Elijah slowly got up to see a large burn on his shoulder, “I knew this was just a bad idea. I’m a danger,” he sighed looking at the tree. He just turned around and galloped away ignoring the pain in his shoulder.

Star  followed him, keeping up with his speed " Elijah... stop.... running away from your mistakes wont hel you... It will just make the problem you are trying to face worse!"

 She was finally able to stop him " you need to believe in yourself that you will ffind them. But to do that, you have to control your powers. Now...  try again as we head back to the herd."

Elijah
     "I could've hurt you! That was nothing compared to what I can do. I'm not going to put you in danger like that again Star!" he said lightly stomping his hoof due to the rather large burn on his shoulder. "The herd needs you not me," he said. The stallion felt a bit more pain with each minute. "Why do you keep coming after someone like me? Is there something your keeping from me Star?" he asked, "If there is, then I need to know now." His horn had pretty much stopped glowing, and was now a dim light. 
     He'd admit it. The stallion was falling for her, but he knew he was a danger to her, her foal, and her herd. "Look. If you can't tell me now at least tell me something that could help me," he said as the pain had really start to get to him. 

" You are here because of a prophecy, Elijah. A prophecy that was for me and me alone"
She could tell that the burn was bothering him and she couldnt take it any more. She stepped up to his,  unfolded her wings, and spoke the ancient language of healing before placing  one of her wings on him.

" It was your first try, Elijah...  keep trying... im not  letting you give up. Even if it hurt me." She had to admit, she was fiercer in this state than when she was  far away from him. Making the love for him in her eyes, stronger.

" Now...  come on... try again and really focus on controlling it." StarDust said calmly, folding her wings once more

Elijah
     "What do you mean a prophecy?" he paused as she somehow healed the burn. "H-how? I thought unicorns only had magic." he said in shock. "Alright fine I'll try again," he told her as he turned back around. Once they were back where they were, Elijah focused on the tree again. His horn glew brighter, and the glowing string formed as it slowly floated as it twisted around his horn. The smoke had gone, but the tree started to burn again. Though it disappeared. The tree was just wood and branches, but little leaves started to sprout.
     Elijah was about to give up, but he kept going. More leaves appeared as others grew, and within time, the tree was back to it's pure self. He had done it. "I-it worked," he said a bit out of breath. Elijah walked to the tree, and reared grabbing the only apple on the tree. The stallion walked back to Star, and gave it to her, "Thanks."

StarDust watched as the old tree transformed back to its younger self “ Now theres something I havent seen in years”  She said when the apple was given to her. But instead of taking the whole apple, she bit into half of it “ you take the rest, Elijah… a gift from me for braving your first test. But more will arise every day. For the next ten days. Each day you will be talking and socializing with one of your choice each day.”
 
She  tossed her head, making her mane dance like fireflies in the light. Clearly happy with what has been said and done. But she soon controlled herself “ Wanna try a different  spell or wanna wait til tomorrow and do it with a new member?”

Elijah
     He took the other half of the apple. Elijah didn't quite like the idea, but agreed to it. "Alright fine..." he said looking back at the sleeping herd. "I guess I could try something else..." he said looking around for another target. "There used to be storms all the time when I was younger. I used to create my own little storms in the cave when they started to decline. Perhaps I could try the same just with snow?" he was a bit unsure about this one himself. The stallion honestly never even seen snow before, so this would be quite the challenge.

 Snow?  She thought as she looked at Elijah “ I think I can do something about that… but one of my mares will have to create a training ring and then you can practice there”
She whinnied to one of her mares and she came over “ What is it, My Queen?” Molly replied her head looking from her to Elijah and then back at her Queen
 
“ You need to make a training place for Elijah to train. And do it quickly.
“ I beg your pardon, My Queen?”  Molly said “ I… Yes ma’am” and with that she ran off to a secluded spot and worked her magic and created a wintery wonderland. When she was done , she headed back to the two and looked at her Queen. “ It is all ready My Queen” he said “ shall I  bring Elijah over now? “
 
“ Not right now… training there ill start tomorrow. “ She replied. She then eyed Elijah once more “ time to relax til night fall.”

Elijah
     Elijah didn't really sleep. In fact, he never really did sleep. Flashes and nightmares had always hunted him whenever he tried to sleep, so he adjusted to being awake all day and night most of the time. Though, he was exhausted, so he gave it a shot. The stallion laid down, and looked at the herd. He sighed, and thought about the next 10 days. It might be better they volunteered each day. Who knew how'd they react if I was to pick one a day without even knowing them he thought to himself. I'll have to talk to Star later. 
     Elijah watched the herd for awhile then his eyes closed on him. He had fallen asleep, which he hasn't done for a long time. The stallion had slept for quite a while until the flashes of the accident started to appear. Though, it wasn't just the accident this time. He saw flashes of a mare over and over again as he heard her speak only that of a few words. Elijah couldn't quite make out what she was saying, but everything stopped before he woke up. The stallion looked around frantically as he was breathing heavily. He calmed himself and got up. "Who was that?" he said to himself.

(I couldn't really think of anything else other than the snow lmao)
