Yesterday I got about 4 cups of water (can't wait for summer when I have access to my 2-liter camelbak)

hmm, well I have been drinking a butt ton of water due to having kidney stones! lol.

so, yesterday I had around 80 ounces (I always drink out of my camelbak, so I'm not sure of cups)
Monday I had 60 ounces (at least). and then the IV fluid as well. hahaha

Haven't really been doing anything physical though...

Finally deciding to post/join here after a recent visit to my doctor and physio :D

I'm Melon...most probably know me as PaintAPony/PaP. I'm currently VERY inactive...but normally do just short of 30k steps a day when i'm at work but currently on sick with a sore back.

Anyways...I've wanted to improve my fitness since before Christmas but just never had the time for it however seeing as my back has now been diagnosed as muscle weakness...it's kinda been a little bit of motivation as to once that is sorted and back to how it should be, to then improve my fitness in the hopes of keeping my back in good condition.

My stats:
5'6" tall.
18 years
55kg/121lbs

My Goal:
no weight change
better fitness
maybe tone up a little bit
______________________________________

And while I'm here...and rather then making another reply....I have a question for you all...

Currently my back is related to core weakness and most definitely weakness in my lower back...does anyone know of any good exercises that will help to improve these as well as my physio exercises that I'm currently doing?

From what I have heard/learned, yoga and pilates are the two best workouts for improving core strength. I believe the reason they work best is because they make use of multiple muscle groups simultaneously, rather than targeting one at a time (like weight lifting sometimes does).

I'm personally a fan of yoga but I know people who do pilates enjoy it too, although I think it is even more rigorous than yoga is (and yoga is harder than it appears). My brother did pilates for a time and it was intense but he liked it. It's all up to what suits you best, I suppose.

I've always had a pretty strong back from those years of carrying all my textbooks around in a backpack like they told you to do (haha), but I have noticed improvement in other parts of my core besides that. I've also noticed doing yoga helps get rid of some back pain I get from accidental slouching, so it has been good all around.

I was never particularly athletic in primary school, I did squad swimming for a bit, but I loved sprints, ause even though I was one of the shortest kids, I would still do prety damn great. I hated, and still hate, long ditance running, so of course one of my goals is to run 5k without stopping (fun).

I like to think that my eating habits are pretty good. My mum is vegan, so unless I'm eating out, I'm basically vegan too. I miss chicken and salami :'(. I hate soft drink (soda) with a vengence, and juice is just... bleh. My biggest downfall is that I have a massive sweet tooth. Gimme all that chocolate, baklava, marzipan, brownies, and peanut butter!!

I don't exercise much other than walking to school 4 days a week and walking home 3 days. I enjoy swimming, so I hope to get back to that.

Height: 4'11''
Weight: 110.3
Goal Weight: 90
Also goal: run 5k without leaving civilization to become a sloth

so annoying when you click post reply but you took too long so you've been logged out and you lose your 90 page detailed narrative.

>.< I've been sucky about my updates/updating the water- I'll do that later tonight I promise.

But my water intake for the past 3 days has been the equivalent of 17 cups. I also purchased a weighted vest (10lbs) to start wearing to the gym. The first 30 minutes I'm there, I do a cardio warmup (elliptical and stepclimber) so the vest will be great. I also play to wear it during weight sessions and around the house.

Today was my day off and it didn't help matters that I'm on day 2 of Aunt Flow so I'm wanting to eat EVERYTHING in sight D:

32oz (4 cups). Too bad we're not counting unsweetened iced tea. xD

Edit:: 56 cups total so far.
I'm sure it's actually more than that but I didn't keep track at all for several days, so I won't even try to guess for those days. I'll just go with what I know I've consumed.

Derp I think I had six cups of water today? I keep forgetting to remember how much and to add it here. :/

I've been very low energy over the past couple of days, but I'm hoping to do something active tomorrow.

I thought I would share with y'all what's on today's Leg Day agenda :).

Leg Day 4/14/16

Cardio Warmup:
-20 minutes elliptical, level 4. Sprint 3 minutes, medium pace for 1.
-10 minutes stepclimber WITHOUT holding on. Ankle weights AND weighted vest. Start at speed 5 go up to speed 9.

Calves:
-Calve extensions: I'm upping my weight on these today from 155lbs to 160. I'll do 3-5 sets of 10.

All will be done in 3-5 sets WITH weighted vest on the ENTIRE time.
-Lunges: 10 per leg with 10lb dumbbell in each hand.
-Sumo Squats: 10 reps with 15lb dumbbell
-Regular Squat (no weight): 20
-Leg Raises WITH ankle weights: 10 per side (which will mean in total, I will have done 80 leg raises in ONE set).
-Side Lying Leg Lift WITH ankle weights: 10 per side.

What are y'all doing today? :)

I'm either going to run today (about a mile - I'm working on getting my speed up) or else do a more rigorous yoga session (I did the 'desert' one last time, which is more calming, but the 'ocean' and 'mountain' ones are more high intensity interval in style). It depends on how much an issue allergies are today, cause when the pollen is high I can't run because I simply can't get enough air.
