Just a reminder, you should credit the original BG artist. I found the original here, with you making alterations to it. It says it's free to use, but you need credit

I have looked at both backgrounds and for some reason, i do not see how they are both the same. I see the same colors but the moon, the part around the moon, the path, the grass and the rocks are all different. They look the same but a lot of the stuff is sharper in this than in SqdPxl's picture.

Though i do see that the idea came from SqdPxl's background but there are a lot of things that are different.

I did in fact paint and do my own background from scratch. The idea did come from that from SqdPxl, but because I did everything myself I didn't realize we need to credit (because I'm not technically using it)? So, I guess my question is even if I am doing everything from scratch do we still need to credit an idea? Just so I'm clear and know for next time. :D 

I did a ghost over. It’s clear you resized, moved things around but it is that background and you just added to it your own flair.
I understand you most likely just coloured over the original and added your own things. I’m sure it’s allowed if you ask the original artist. 
It’s not from scratch if you’re copying someone else’s work. How is it your idea if it was someone else’s first?
It is a free background so just credit them for their work on the image. I feel that is only fair to the original artist

I did NOT paste and resize his background over mine, and I don't particularly like someone insinuating I'm a "liar" and being dishonest... I understand it's "free use" but if I wanted to use it or "copy" and "resize" his image I would have just used his. However, if I need to credit an "idea" from something then so be it, I have absolutely NO problem- I shall do so from now on. But I DID draw the background from SCRATCH MYSELF. No ghosting. No copy/pasting and pixeling over. No distorting. I literally took each color and did everything MYSELF just by looking back and forth at said photo.
