Star purred, "Ah, good morning my babies." He smiled. "Mommy should be home soon with some food."

Ginelly smirked. "Alright, come on." She snorted. "Tarzan told me to meet up with him at the uncleared territory by the Nomad's Land." Kifo stood and shook out his pelt, following Bamar and Ginelly as the trotted towards the area where his father and sister were.

Tarzan and Bahari waited with Lily, along with the two birds, Skano and Krebu. They had done well, and had spotted a herd of gazelle heading towards a ditch, to which Lily guided them back home.

Marzipan and Zuberi trotted/ran to keep up with the group. They arrived to find the land covered with fallen dead trees and Zuberi's eyes lit up when he realized they needed his strength.

Tarzan smiled when the rest approached. "Alright, Zuberi and Ravarta will drag these trees out to the lake, and create a dam." He nodded to the elephant and the lion. "Just be careful, the waves are strong, and the bank is slippery." He turned to Marzipan and Kifo. "You two need to figure out a way to get rid of all this dead grass and roots, without hurting the dirt." And when he turned around, Kane, Kubadili, and Gecha arrived. "And you two," he smiled. "You need to work with Skano and Krebu to keep any animal out, unless they're from the Pride." Tarzan flicked his tail, "Now get to work!"

"Vitani. Nice to meet you." she answered, standing up and looking at the lioness. Vitani wouldn't be rude by asking what she wanted, so she just waited.

Alina walked into their den with a gazelle, placing it in front of the cubs and Star. "Dig in!" she grinned, nuzzling each of their lovely heads. Carefully she laid next to Star, licking his cheeks happily.

Ravarta nodded, running over to a tree and picking it up with his teeth. He lifted the heavy material onto his back, carrying it to the water. At one point he almost slipped, but immediately caught his balance.

Zuberi grunted, lifted two large trees with his trunk, and walking steadily to the river.
"Guess the hippos will like this new lake we're creating for them." He grinned at Ravarta as he dumped his load at the top of the bank, then going back for more. When he and Ravarta had moved all the logs, he cautiously looked around, to make sure there were no crocodiles anywhere nearby, pushed the logs down to the river's edge, then slid down himself, stood on the bank, and began to build a dam across the river; making the wide, shallow, and fast moving river to deeper. The river was about 15' ft wide and about 2 ft' deep; but with the logs blocking the flow of the water, it created a dam, and made the river a lot deeper.

Marzipan looked at the dead grass and roots, thinking deeply, and then thought of something. "It's the rainy season. Why not just clear a fire break and burn this stuff out? It'll give plenty of good fertilizer for the soil."

Ravarta trotted over to Zuberi, helping him as much as he could. "Soon we'll be done!" he exclaimed with a grin, his tongue panting slightly from the heat. His white pelt was covered in dust and water.

Finally, Zuberi had the shell of the dam created, walked up, slid down the other side, and began to push rocks, mud, and loose gravel into the leaks to block the flow. The water continued to rise up, Zuberi put two shorter logs on either end on quick drying concrete like mud, to create a water block on either side, and make a thick wall of water that made a waterfall that flowed off; which allowed the fish and crocodiles to swim over if they chose too. He quickly climbed out before the water flowing over could sweep him away. "There. Looks good don't it Ravarta?"

"Looks excellent!" he exclaimed, moving away until he stood beside Zuberi. "Now, I wonder how the others are doing?" Ravarta wondered aloud, turning around to look towards Marizpan and Kifo. He called out in a loud roar "How are ya'll doing??"

Zuberi trumpeted his pleasure and stomped heavily to where Marzian and Kifo stood.

"Hmm,"Tarzan glanced around, "Bahari, what do you say?" The young lioness glanced at her two brothers. "That'll be too long. Dad was saying that an Okapi herd was moving in, so we have to have this done as soon as possible." She flicked her tail, "Anything else?"

(Do you want Tefari to come for his 'revenge'?)

"Mommy!" Nebula squealed and purred against her mother. "Thank you." Adle took a bite of gazelle, and with his mouth full, "Fanks mum." Nebula giggled before taking a small bite. Star glanced up at his mate, giving her a lick on the chin. "We'll have to go out hunting all together tonight." Adle's ears pricked. "Really??"

"I don't know!!!!" Marzipan groaned, not sure what else to suggest, but Zuberi got an idea in his brain. "I still have one log we haven't used, be right back." He trotted to the river, grabbed the tree that had lots of branches on it, came back, turned it so it faced side to side in front of him, and picked it up with his trunk again to shove it through the soil; like a plow, forcing all the dead roots up, and leaving the soil freshly plowed so the air could get in. Marzipan realized what he was doing and ran behind him; pulling the uprooted dead roots and grass out, throwing it into a pile when his mouth got full, to burn later, and they left the land ready for new grass to grow.

Kifo jumped up. "That's great!!" He began to mix the dirt that had been dug up.
