Rulers of the Savanna pt. 2 RP

(Perhaps she could join up with Ntwadumela and Kori. They could work together to raise the cubs of Shula to take back the Elephant Graveyard/Grasslands from Scar and Zira. :))

When a new roar rang out from the Elephant Graveyard/Grasslands, Kacy and Cali were immediately alert. They didn't recognize that roar at all, though it sounded a lot like Solo, it wasn't Solo.

The tawny colored lioness Jewl breathed heavily on her side bleeding from a gut wound from trying to defend Zircon, Sapphire and Quartz from being killed by a male lion that wanted to breed with her and kill her. Twisting in agony Jewl let out a piercing groan and twisted in pain. Already the male had killed Sapphire and had wounded her badly. Eyes flashing with pain she nuzzled Zircon and Quartz as she fell still drifting off to the lion heavens above. 

Zircon the tawny colored cub that matched his mother's fur color whimpered and curled into Jewel's side with Quartz by his side. 

 

Chula hated not being the Queen of the Grasslands any longer. She sulked at the edge of the pride, as she felt that she had been made an outcast, though she actually hadn't. However, much to Zira's disgust, that was what Scar was going for. He had made a law that no one was to converse, interact, or help Chula hunt. Playing with Chula's mind, making her think that she was an outcast, hated, despised, rejected, not worth anything, and wanting to kill herself; which is exactly how she made HIM feel growing up. Zira fussed to Scar, as she wanted to hurt her physically, but he wouldn't let her. "Why Scar?! I so want to get my claws into her.........." She whined, admiring her sharp claws as she put them in-and-out of her paws. Scar looked at her and smirked. "Now she knows what it feels like to be unloved, unwanted, and rejected. I want her to suffer just like I did. For my father wouldn't let her hurt me physically, so she hurt me emotionally, which leaves far worse scars than anything physical can." Zira looked at him strangely, but when she saw how the lionesses cooed, coddled, tended to her his mother Asia, and herself; she suddenly saw his wisdom and smiled with glee. "You are cruel, in your own unique way. I love that about you........" Purring, as she wrapped herself around him, he purred back, and they retreated back into the far corner of the den to be intimate. *fades out*

Chula saw them talking with one another and then disappear into the den; obviously to try having cubs. Snarled with disgust, for Shula and Kori should be the ones relaxing in that cave, NOT THEM!!! She cautiously walked up to Asia, to try to make things right with her, for she realized, when it was too late, that she should've been mad at Solo after it happened, and not punished Asia, for the result which was Scar. However, when she tried to apologize, Asia first stared at her like she had suddenly grown a neck as long as a giraffe, and then laughed. "NOW you admit you were wrong?! After five years?!" The other lionesses laughed too, for this was hilarious, and they had always liked Asia; while hating Chula, but were forced to respect her for their beloved King's sake. They honestly were glad that Scar was King, for Shula had acted just like his mother, nothing like Solo, and only his sister, the beloved Princess Cholo, acted like Solo, but alas! For some strange reason, Solo had made a law that only the son of a King could rule the land, and as such Cholo wasn't able to rule. So she had become the mate to a fine male sometime ago, the Prince, now King of the Snowy Kingdom, which solidified the bond between the two prides. Chula felt that everyone had turned against her, for Scar had allowed them to openly express their feelings, and lowered her head with a sigh. Asia decided to give her the boot. "You know, my dear son Scar gave me the power to decide what to do with you, and I shall pass it now." Chula looked up with fright and a gasp. "Exile!!!!!! You are no longer an outcast, but an outsider, loved by no one, and hated by all. Leave now or be prepared to be torn apart!!!" Asia yelled with glee, the other lionesses snarling, ready to kill, and Chula barely escaped with her life. She was driven off, many wounds, all minor, bleeding from her flanks, head, and sobbing uncontrollably. First, she lost her beloved mate, then lost her privileged position, and now was driven away from her family of 7 years. The only place she could go was to her old home. The Savanna, but her parents were gone, and only her nieces and their families lived there. Would they welcome her back? Or reject her, forcing her to live the rest of her days as an Outsider? However, the sound of wailing cubs caught her attention, she veered off her path, and found; with horror, Sapphire dead, Jewl dead, and Zircon and Quartz cuddled into their mother's fur. "You poor things.........." She cooed, gently caressing their trembling bodies, and forgetting her own plight as her motherly instincts kicked in once more. To protect, to defend, to raise, to love as she purred, licked, and nuzzled them.

Ntwadumela was passing nearby when he heard something, growled as he spied a male daring to mark HIS territory, and attacked. The male who had killed Jewl lay dead his feet and Ntwadumela cautiously approached Chula. She looked up, recognized him, nodded, and together; they buried Jewl and Sapphire and took the remaining cubs to his den. Where Kori looked up in shock, the same feeling Chula felt, and the two lionesses gently and lovingly bathed the two crying cubs; under Ntwadumela's watchful and gentle eyes.

Zircon looked at Chula and Kori the two lioness that had found him and Quartz. Nuzzling into Chula's side with a tear stained face and shaking from the ordeal. "D-did you know my mommy and sister?" Zircon blinked his brown eyes at Chula then to Kori waiting for an answer from her. Quartz was huddled near Kori pressed deep into her side and shaking from watching her mother and sister die. Hiding her face aganist Kori's stomache to block out noises and to hide her tear stained face from others watching. 

"I'm your Aunt Chula, your Uncle Solo's mate. I just got exiled from my own pride and now am on my own. I just couldn't leave you two alone." Chula purred and then looked at Kori with sad eyes. "Shula is gone for good and it's just me, Ntwadumela, and my unborn cubs. We are determined to figure out just what happened, as I strongly believe that Zira and possibly Scar had something to do with Solo's and Shula's deaths." Chula started, for she hadn't thought of that before, and silently vowed to help this small rebellion take back the pride; even if she didn't live to see it. 

Zircon nodded and pressed closer to his aunt with a purr. "What was Mommy like before we were born?" his tail flicked behind him in excitment to learn more about his mother what she was like in the pride with Chula and Solo. "Did Mommy ever have a mate or someone she loved?" Zircon's brown eyes filled with questions for wanting to ask.

"She showed up about two months ago, but you were young and may not remember, and then left in grief after your Uncle Solo died in the stampede. I can't describe your mother other than she was loyal, friendly, fiercely protective of those she loved, and a wonderful huntress; even with her lame paw." Chula sighed, for she had liked Jewl, and Ntwadumela had saved both their lives during the stampede.

Zircon nodded and looked to Ntwadumela "Did he like my mommy as in love her?" he questioned his brown eyes sparkling still as he watched the way older male in the distance. "Uncle Solo was the best!" he cuddled into Chula's side more and purred. "Sometimes I wish I knew my daddy but mommy would never tell us who. He still cuddled into her side and purred. Quartz had fallen asleep by Kori and was breathing slowly in and out.

Chula sighed and wished things were different; but they weren't. She just had to make the best of it, though it sure was hard..............

Ntwadumela, laying on his side, his face to wall of the cave, thought deeply. He gave shelter to a lioness, Kori, because she needed help, and he got a mate as a result. But now he had her former mother-in-law, who seemed to be a petty, and spoiled lioness; yet she risked her life to console those cubs, when that male was stalking around, and probably would've killed her and them if he hadn't happened to pass by. Though, the young male would be driven away, he'd keep the female, and have himself a small pride; as well as taking the Grasslands that he poached off on from that thin male who seemed to be in charge now.

so wish we could have another lion couple
