A Fond Farewell my dears

I just wanted to say goodbye to you all as I will be stepping away from playing this game for an unknown period of time.
 
Alas, the direction the game is going in and the changes being made are taking the game in a different direction than the type of game I'm interested in playing. Shame too, I am less than a month away from breeding my first 3000 stat Appy foal. All that work, for not...

I may drop by from time to time to see some friends on here.. but for now.. it's best that I take a break/leave for an indeterminate length of time. 

I am currently looking for someone to take over the roll of president of the Appaloosa Horse Club.. Pls comment in the forum club thread if you're interested. I have also disbanded the Elite Appaloosa Horse Breeders club....

For those of you that play other horse sims,  I go by Windspun, in any horse sims I play.. Feel free to say hi anytime..

Woudn't you consider voicing your opinions about the direction of the game instead of leaving ? Maybe there's more players thinking alike and maybe there's a chance that whatever you predict coming, won't happen after all ?! Sometimes a loud minority gives the wrong impression of what the whole community wants because the majority stays quiet.
To me your name is among those that were in the game since forever, it's difficult to see you just go away...

Sorry to see you go but I understand. As you know I may not be far behind you. Just not sure if I'm quite ready to say bye to EV or not. 

Will definitely see you around though, haha. 

This makes me very sad.... So what are the things which push you over the edge if I may ask ? Please, don't leave !!! Can't we just voice our opinions and get this game on track once again...?! It's definitely going to collapse if well established players who are the core of this game start leaving one by one... :(

@Lenka.. its just been a slow progression of watching the game deteriorate. No focus on improving economy or game play.. Seems the main focus is on game aesthetics.. makin it look pretty for the younger players.. More concern about pets, tack, backgrounds.. than improving gameplay or economy.. 

For me and I'm just speaking for myself.. the game continues to become more 'unrealistic' in terms of breeding, showing, etc.. its ridiculous..

Also of note.. mods/admins will always do what THEY want to do .. to improve game.. they don't listen to what they're not interested in.. Game is not going anywhere this way.. nothing will change, except the pretty artwork.. 

It is what it is.. 

Im only here until I find someone to take over the Appaloosa Horse Club.. as soon as that's done.. I'll be exiting.. and ya.. I won't let the door hit me on the way out lol

Sorry to hear you feel that way! As Equiverse is in constant development it's unfortunate that not all changes or improvements are appreciated. We'll all be here still if you (hopefully) return. You've done wonderful work with the Appaloosa breed and no one has quite matched it yet!

I had a feeling it might be that... I have to admit I almost fainted when I saw such enthusiastic support for companions. I wanted to cry out: "Nooo...that's why I run away from Howrse (among other annoying features in that game)! but it chased me up here on EV !!!!"
It is truly disheartening to read topics (of monthly sessions on discord) from a year ago and see that almost nothing from there has been implemented and yet still new sessions are scheduled and new features are being considered to be implemented, which gives impression that "things are happening" when in reality they are not.
It is disappointing to see no improvement in shows' department despite lengthy discussions being lead on and off over many of the past months... I share your point of view...
I wish you all  the best in your other games' endavours and maybe, just mabe, I'll see you at some point in the future either here or somewhere else :) :) :)
Still so sad.... I know I'm repeating myself but I just can't help it... It always a huge loss when good players leave !!!!

I'm still a relatively new player...trying to find my footing and direction. It is players like you who inspire me to breed the best horses I can...I can't see your horses or your brand without thinking about how fabulous they are. I can totally understand your thoughts on where the game stands now, especially as someone who has watched the twists and turns it has taken over many years.
I don't pretend to know how to fix the economy or anything else. I only can say that from a newer player's point of view, I am very sad to see you go...what you have accomplished is amazing, and though it is "only a game" as they say...it is something to be congratulated for and respected!!
I hope you will lock your beautiful horses up to keep them safe, in the event that the game takes a good turn and you can come back!!

I remember first playing and you were one of the best player, well to me, and I wanted to get horses just like yours. You seemed to be doing amazingly even if you didn't have as much money.

But I do agree, the game really doesn't focus on anything economic or game-play wise and can't lie, neither have I. But seeing many of the older players I first played with starting to leave because of those issues is sorta making me change my mind on the way on how I would prefer the game to improve.

It's sad to see you go :( Imma miss seeing the WINDSPUN names popping up every once in a while. They always brought me joy. It's a name that I have seen as a challenge to improve horses and such. Getting even lower nss than I have now, higher stats, and conformation.

Hope you one day decide to join again once things seem to be going a better way, I'll miss you! ♥

I know not many people know me because I joined relatively new but going to be sad watching such an amazing and dedicated player like you leave as many other people said I wish one day you return, you have accomplished something amazing that nobody has come close to, i wish the best of luck as you move on.....

I agree with the points you raise, especially about the economy issue. As a player who was here a long time ago, I remember you from my first time round and am sorry to see you go.

Oh wow, this comes as a pretty hard blow. You're one of the EV greats. You've been a legend on here since before I joined, and hell, I guess I've been around for a pretty long time now! It's sad to see you go, though I of course understand your concerns. It's been weird for me these past couple of years, seeing a bunch of people leaving due to the economy and such. I've never been a very serious player so truth be told it hasn't affected me, but seeing seemingly almost everyone else caught up in heated discussions over it makes me feel like I'm watching the world burn from inside a fireproof box. I don't have any suggestions on how to fix things because, as I said, I've never been involved in that aspect of the game. But I think we can all agree something needs to be done soon or else I'm going to find myself alone in that box staring out at a barren field of ash.
