As one of the surviving missing passengers/crew on flight 3600, you find yourself on an uncharted island somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle where your plane went down, the wreckage still smoldering. The waters around the island are rough and the tropical forest full of the unknown. The most you can do is try to survive while everyone on the mainland does everything they can to find you and bring you home, but the likely hood of them finding this island is dim. You'll have to make the best of it.

Rules:

Violence allowed (hunting, fighting etc.), but keep it tame and not overly descriptive

No swearing

No killing off other players characters w/o permission

Romance neither forbidden nor encouraged, but if you must, keep it PGΒ

No powers or somehow making your character good at everything they need to be good at. Let's try and keep it realistic.

Try to respond promptly. A quiet RP is a boring RP.

Try to have good grammer/punctuation etc.

Weather will be controlled by yours truly as well as some random events to spice things up

If you read this, put Wilson in the other section

And most importantly: Have fun!

Current Characters:

Rowan Fairchild---Alive|Uninjured

Cordero Alicea---Alive|Uninjured

Melody Lyne---Alive|Uninjured

Damien Angelis---Alive|Uninjured

Emerson F. Rhodes---Alive|Uninjured

Your character awakens on the sandy beach, the waves gently lapping at their feet. Looking around as they regain consciousness, they notice the others, as well as how many aren't there. Some debris from the crash has washed up on shore.

Cordero
Β Everything was dark. So very, very dark. But perceivably dark. He was now aware of the darkness. With that groundbreaking new realization, the aforementioned darkness began to ebb away as his mind's gears began slowly turning again. I'm... dead- No, alive. I'm alive. What happened?
Β Cordero's eyes fluttered open, and he grunted in confusion and disorientation, blinking hard a couple times to clear his vision. Using his hands, he hoisted himself up, cringing in response to the pain that shot up his right arm as a result of the action. However, he didn't have much time to dwell on that, since he quickly became aware of the weight - the figure - laying across his legs. He blinked, registering what it was, before lurching back, ignoring the pain in his arm and back as he scrambled away. "HOLY FREAKING CHRIST," he had screeched as he threw himself backwards, a statement that may or may not have included a different word than the one written.
Β Cordero panted, horrified, as he stared down at the bloodied corpse that was now a couple feet in front of him thanks to his sick self-launching skills. "Jesus Christ," he breathed in startled shock and disbelief, raising his hand and brushing his damp, blood-soaked hair off of his equally-bloody forehead, continuing to ignore the pain. "He's dead. Oh my God, he's... he's dead. That's a dead body."

Rowan
Wet, and covered in sand, she let out a groan, a throbbing headache at the back of her skull. The ground in front of her looked more like white noise on the screen of a broken television than sand. She blinked, trying to clear her vision, and hit her hand on the side of her head to try and stop her ears ringing. She instantly regretted that decision. She felt like she was going to pass out again when she heard what sounded like a human voice coming from her left. Her sight clearing somewhat, she slowly turned her head to look around her. All she saw were bodies. She thought she saw a few of them move, but she couldn't be sure. Rowan awkwardly stumbled to her feet but didn't remain on them for long. After a few more attempts, she managed to stand on her shaking legs. Holding her hands out in front of her like a blind girl, she staggered about, weakly calling the names of the people in her youth group. Suddenly, her shuffling feet snagged on one of the bodies, and she fell, shocked when the body moved and she realized that she had just fallen on a live person, a young man with a particularly bloody forehead.

Damien

Damien slowly gained his consciousness back. Fading in and out of darkness. One moment he would see nothing but darkness, then the next his eyes would flutter and see a little bit of light as he came to. Finally he got his eyes open half way and began looking around, his vision blurred. It felt like it took him a long moment to fully collect himself and gain enough strength to get himself up onto his hands and knees. His clothes clung to him from still being wet. He was trying to remember what happened after the wreck, how he got to this point and remembered swimming some and collapsing on the shore. "Oh my God..." he muttered to himself, staring at the sand beneath him as he remembered people screaming in the water. He managed to lean back onto his knees and sit up straight, resting his hands on his knees as he looked around to see if anyone else made it at all. He saw bodies, and a few moving. His nursing instincts kicked in and he stumbled to his feet. His body ached from the struggle in the water, making it out of the wreckage and swimming for so long.Β

Cordero
Β If his eyes and mind hadn't both been completely fixated on the sea of dead bodies that lie before him, he would have noticed the girl long before she fell on him. Alas, he did not, jumping to the side a second too late. By then she was already laying half on, half off of him, and Cordero blinked in discomfort, scooting out from underneath of her. "Um... salutations... I guess," he greeted ingenuinely, slight distaste and annoyance characteristically tracing his words despite the fact that his only comrades were either dead or dying, the girl being no exception. "Fine day, huh?"

Rowan
"Yeah. The best." she muttered. "Sorry for tripping over you. I can barely see anything right now," she apologized, massaging her temples. Her eyes widened as she looked around at the bodies that littered the shore, and gagged as the wind turned in her direction. She covered her mouth with her damp shirt. She closed her eyes tightly, but the images in her mind didn't go away.

Melody
Melody had been one of the very first people to come to, maybe the first. As soon as she had woken, practically inhaling sand, she'd climbed to her feet and begun walking through the bodies littering the beach. She was, of course, looking for her daughter, who had been on the flight with her. It didn't take long to find Ava. The little girl was unmistakably, irreversibly dead.Β Her small body was battered and bloody, and, despite Melody's first desperate attempts to revive her, she was cold and still. Currently, Melody was sitting close to the edge of the beach, away from the water, a wrapped bundle in her arms. She wanted to bury her daughter somewhere, but wasn't quite ready physically for the labor. Her eyes were somehow dry, her hair matted and still damp from being in the sea.Β

Emerson

On the beach and unconscious from the plane crash with her white doctor coat stained with blood and torn. Fluttering open her eyes and gasping for air around her her body in a panic and with adrenaline for what her body had endured. Emerson gazing around the beach and spotting lifeless bodies and others hurt and panicking. Doctor mode kicking in from being an emergency room doctor at a hospital and treating all types of patients and situations. Taking in a calm breath mixed with adrenaline before standing up and ignoring her own pain. β€œI-I need a headcount...” struggling to stay the words but, forcing them out and stumbling foreword. β€œEveryone needs to stay calm and come together.” Emerson speaking louder for others around to hear her and come.

Rowan
Rowan opened her eyes as she heard the voice of someone telling the survivors to come together. She managed to get back on her feet, albeit quite slowly. She stood still for a moment, waiting for her head to stop buzzing enough to allow any more movement. Before she staggered off towards the voice, she turned back to the rough young man and offered him a hand, not really thinking about whether or not she was at the moment capable of assisting anyone to their feet when she could barely stand on her own. "Whether we like it or not, she's right," she said, referring to the woman who belonged to the voice that summoned the remaining passengers, "we have to stick together now."

Damien

Damien looked around some more as he stood there unsteadily for a moment, blinking his eyes to clear his vision as he snapped out of his haze. He finally looked down the beach a little ways and saw Emerson, his doctor he usually worked under in the hospital. He looked himself over, making sure he didn't have any injuries before he walked over towards Emerson so help in anyway he could. He still wasn't focused fully, trying to get his barrings as he walked.

Cordero
Β He scoffed lightly at her words, but took her hand nonetheless, wincing as pain shot through it as she began trying pull him up. He ultimately did most of the work with his own two legs, partly because the girl wasn't too stable and partly because his right arm wasn't either, but they managed. Upon standing up, Cordero rocked on his feet for a moment, feeling as though he were about to fall over; his dizziness subsided just in time, though, and he managed to remain on his feet. "Yeah, I guess we do," he replied now that he was up and stable enough to do so, looking down at her and raising an eyebrow. "Wow, what are you, the main character of an adventure novel or something? 'Oh, we gotta stick together now, let's all come together in a dumb little circle and start planning how to find the Enchanted Staff,'" he jabbed in a voice clearly meant to mock hers, letting go of her hand and taking a step back. Rubbing his shoulder,Β  he turned to look in the direction of the lady who'd called together the storybook-esque meeting, who appeared to be a doctor of some sort. Either that, or she just liked long white coats. Sighing out of exhaustion from the mere thought of trekking up the gentle slope of the beach, he turned back to the girl, motioning with his head for her to go first. "Name's Cordero, by the way. You?"

Rowan
"Whether we like it or not," she repeated under her breath. She forced a smile. "All fiction is based on reality in one way or another, and what did circles ever do to you?" she added sarcastically. She paused a moment to study the incredulous look on his face. "My name's Rowan." with that she turned to join the others who were beginning to convene. They weren't far off, but it felt like an eternity had passed before she reached them. She gave a slight nod to the woman in the white coat, and scanned the motley group, her eyes resting just a little too long on a very quiet bundle in the arms of a woman who stood there, but who's eyes were somewhere else entirely. The realization of the whole situation was finally sinking in to its full extent. Staring down at the ground, she dug her fingernails into her palm, trying to keep her emotions from manifesting on her face. No tears, Rowan. No tears.

Cordero
Β After trudging up the slope behind Rowan, Cordero stopped and looked around, taking in his battered comrades and the debris- and corpse-littered ground at their feet. Upon noticing Rowan's gaze had come to focus on one person in particular, he followed her lead, feeling sick as he saw the subject of her lingering stare. Though he was generally quite good at remaining aloof and unaffected during tough situations, the sight of the woman holding a motionless child felt like a serrated knife in Cordero's gut. He had younger siblings that he loved very much, and seeing that little kid bloodstained and lifeless... Forcefully, he shoved away his empathy, looking back at the woman in the coat to divert his thoughts. "We're here. Now what?," he asked; it sounded a bit like a challenge, but it was mostly just an honest question.

Damien

It took him a few minutes but Damien finally made it up with the others, rubbing his shoulder a little. He tried adjusting his shirt that was sticking to him from being soaked and to his relief seemed to be finally starting to dry out some. He looked between the people near him, taking in everything he could. Vibes, expressions, possible injuries, etc. His eyebrows were furrowed, either from concern for others or maybe hiding a bit of pain it was hard to tell. He remained silent as he observed everything.
