So basically: All humans but a small group have vanished off the face of the earth. Buildings crumble. Rivers return to their original course. Forests have taken over their original areas. Animal populations rebound. Several thought extinct species return (warrah, white tiger, etc.) Now you gotta learn how to survive in this new world, and decide whether to find the protection of a group or risk it alone.

Outlaw
She walked down what used to be a road, listening to the many animal sounds. "This is actually better then it was.. I just hope no one heard me that time.. cause I don't wanna follow rules.." she muttered to the horse walking contently next to her. She had left Pistol asleep at their "camp", unawares of her going off to explore, which he had vehemently not allowed her to do last night. She jogged through the thick brush up to a high ridge, where she stood surveying about her, dimly silhouetted in the faint light of early dawn. Her sharp, scarred face was watchful and wary as she scanned the horizons.

Rufus
"C'mon, Duck," Rufus urged, pressing her heels against the gelding's sides. He submitted to her request with a wary huff, cautiously stepping into the shallow river. The water rushed past his hooves; he scrambled across the riverbed at a lurching jog, fighting against Rufus' pull on the reins in an attempt to get out of the water as quickly as possible. It didn't take long for the duo to exit the frothing water; Duck shook himself off as soon as he clambered onto the shore, flinging even more water onto the girl on his back, who was already just as soaked as he from their not-so-graceful trip through the river. She sighed, taking off her hat and wiping the water and muck from her face before putting it back on. "Well, bud, you're across. I know we've never went through a river as big and scary as that before, so good job," she murmured, reaching out and patting her steed's neck fondly. The horse let out a slow exhale in response. Rufus gave him a slight nudge to go forward, and he obliged, neck low as he sucked in a string of deep breaths. The ruddy clay beneath his hooves grew muddy as the water from his pelt rained down onto it, making his hoofprints all the more evident, but there was no use is trying to remain hidden in an environment where everyone was most likely doomed anyway.

Outlaw
She noted a person on horseback by the river. She watched them in rather disgust. "Awww heck, and here I thought I could finally get away from all human contact cept Pistol" she mumbled to the 19hh black mare next to her. The mare nuzzled her playfully. She had managed to find a way to make the horse ageless as well, so the long legged mare had been with her through through everything.
Pistol
He awoke with a yawn then sat up. "Sleep good Outlaw?" He questioned, then realized his hard-headed sister had gone off, even though he'd forbade her from doing so. "Oh come on!" He complained, standing up.

Fox
Stumbling through tightly packed grass taller than herself was... tougher, then Fox would ever admit. She shoved her way forwards with her free hand as the other clutched at a crude, makeshift crutch, wincing as the dry grass cut through the skin of her hand and face as easily as paper through a shredder. She gave one last hard push with all of her remaining strength, toppling through what she thought had been a couple metres of grass (although it was about half a foot instead) and onto what could have been a road once but was reduced to crumbling dust and rocks, some of which Fox had landed on and greeted with a few choice words. "You've got to be kidding me." She hissed, chest shuddering as her almost healed ribs now wailed with a familiar pain. This is all your fault, mum. I got this accident prone luck from you.

Amaya
Amaya gripped a small hand-held shovel in her hand and studied the shoreline of the small, fast creek. According to the owner of the tiny antique store - one of the few still around - there were rumors about this stretch of water. She and the old gentleman had an agreement. If she found things for his shop, she could take one for free (if there were enough), and she got discounts every time she wanted something. Sure, it would make sense for her to just keep all her findings. But sometimes she already had those things, and besides, she liked helping him out. They were friendly rivals, seeing who had the best collection and always trying to outdo each other. A glitter of reflected light caught her eye and she scurried forward. A coin lay nestled in the mud. She pried it up and glanced around. The rumors spoke of coins and currency unearthing here. Amaya wasn't sure if they were being washed ashore from another location or if there was something underground. She held the coin in the current and let the water wash away the mud. They'd have to clean it up a bit back at the shop, but it was surprisingly bright for its age. Amaya slipped it into the small pouch she'd brought along.
Eliso
The trip back home would take maybe an hour. There hadn't been any work nearby, so he'd had to go far. Eliso hadn't taken any paths, but he knew the way to the next settlement well enough. Follow the river upstream. Now he was going downstream, heading home to his family to report the fact he'd failed in finding any work. His mother was never upset, which just made him feel worse. She was doing her best, but it was hard on her. They were barely getting by. He'd noticed that she hadn't eaten the past couple nights. There simply wasn't enough for everyone. Eliso had tried to give her some of his portion, but she'd refused. It'd been a week since he'd last been able to get any work. He pushed a sigh from his lungs and did his best to loosen up. He'd find work. They'd get through this. He'd started for home a bit ago. He wasn't dragging his feet, but he wasn't looking forward to telling everyone the bad news. Eliso glanced at the water. Maybe he'd go swimming later.

She swung up onto Phantom's back, the two setting off further into the woods, away from where she'd seen the girl, but still close to the river. She checked over her shoulder. It'd be just like Pistol to wake up now and come after her.. but she was heading away from their camp now, so she could probably evade him finding her fairly easily after a couple more miles where put between her and the camp.

Rufus
When a girl tumbled from the sawgrass onto the ruddy path directly in front of them, Rufus tugged her gelding to a sudden halt, bouncing forward a bit as he planted his feet firmly into the ground - he might not have been paying any attention whatsoever to the girl he had literally been about to run over, but at least he was responsive to cues. "...You alright?," Rufus questioned after a slight hesitation, unsure exactly what to say but quickly giving up because, hey, it was the end of the world. Why should courtesy matter anymore?
