War In Orioch RP Signups

You live in a village of Specials. Everyone in your village is magical in one way or another. The Specials is independent of the rest of the kingdom of Orioch, and you’ve never seen the monarch in your life. But one day, there is a visitor - it’s the newly crowned prince, asking for help. They’ve come to honor an agreement made long ago – the village may remain independent of Orioch and in return, the monarch can redeem one favor from the people of your village. The prince asks for a few of the young people (ages 15-20) to join him as a special force in the upcoming war. You will live in the castle and become part of the royal court, with the option to return home after the war. Do you accept the challenge?

Name: Huli Chen [think Holly but with a u]

Gender: Female

Age: 17

Physical Description: This is probably the best place to inform you that Huli is a shapeshifter of sorts. She has two forms, her human form and her animal form, which is a corsac fox. She can switch between the two at will. I will be describing her human appearance in this description. If you're curious as to what her fox form looks like check here. Huli has Chinese roots. She is about average height, with ribcage long blonde hair and soft, golden brown eyes. She almost always wears a slim silver cat-ear headband (she thinks it's cute). Her typical style is a colorful dress with short sleeves and a skirt that does not restrict movement. She wears leggings under her dress and keeps a knife in the folds of her skirt just in case of emergencies.

Personality: Huli is relatively easy-going. While she isn't able to put up with everything, she does have decent patience. This, she claims, is due to her end-of-the-day quiet times in which she sits outdoors just to think, feel, and hear the quiet sounds of nature. She hates being interrupted without reason during these times. Huli's favorite creature is the butterfly, all types. She prefers sunrise over sunset and is a morning person. When the right thing is said, Huli can get angry, which usually results in her punching somebody and then stomping off to cry somewhere. She usually apologizes profusely later, after cooling down. Huli is an extrovert and enjoys spending time with others. Her curiosity can sometimes get her into trouble.

Other: Huli knows some healing magic. She learned some on her own and then honed her skills under a teacher for a time.

Name: Amelia (Mel)

Gender: Female

Age: 15

Physical Description: Mel has a very petite body, with a rounded face and mixed skin tone. Deep sea-green eyes and brown hair, often left as a curly mess. She tends to wear clothing that makes her look fierce and cool, although her personality makes all of that look like an act.

Personality: Mel is a hyper-active, clumsy mess that absolutely l o v e s giggling. Very compassionate and extroverted, and almost never can be quiet and reserved. She keeps secrets well, although she will always tell one particular person every secret she knows. She loves people and animals, and seemingly speaks with nature itself, though she never admits she can actually talk to creation, therefore leaving that argument unknown. 

Other: She can, in fact, converse with trees, animals, elements, etc. She's an amazing healer, and is actually fairly good in battle, though she tries to avoid the battle grounds unless she's absolutely needed. Great with bow and arrows, but can pull off sword-fighting when she wants. Hates daggers, although she'll use them if that's all she's got

Name: Oliver

Gender: Male

Age: 19

Physical Description: Oliver has a well-built form, muscular but not over done. Lightly tanned skin and diamond face. Deep gray, almost black eyes, and light blonde hair, making him look very mysterious and slightly freaky, though he's never been too aware of it and really doesn't care. His hair tends to shift from blonde to light brown in the winter, and then his natural blonde in the summer.  

Personality: Regardless of his warrior-like appearance, Oliver is actually very soft inside. He's introverted and rarely hangs around the crowd, but can be very fun and open to people he's known for a while. He's very protective of Mel, as she was abandoned when she was ten, and ever since then he's taken it upon himself to be her protector. Great with sword, and loves the battle field when it comes to him, though he won't provoke it otherwise.

Other: He's very mysterious, therefore no one really knows his specialty. Stay tuned (no pun intended)

Age: 16, almost 17

Physical Description: Wren is average height, 5' 5", and she has shoulder length black hair, tan skin, and hazel eyes. Wren (Not mine, found on Pinterest) 

Personality: Wren is a think-before-you-act kind of person. She is curious and likes to know what's going on. (I'm kind of going to figure her out as I go)

Other: Wren uses storm magic, as do the rest of her family.

Age: 18
Physical Description: Kellan is tall and dark haired, and he has fairer skin. He's fairly muscular, and you can tell he doesnt sit behind a desk all day. Kellan (Pic not mine, found on Pinterest)
Personality: Kellan is ambitious and ready to prove himself. He'll do anything to reach his goal, and won't hesitate to come in with a sword to assert himself.
Other: He is the monarch recruiting the specials.

Name: Jasper Carden-Lovell

Gender: male

Age: 13

Physical Description: Jasper stands at 5'3", making him a bit on the shorter side, but not drastically so. He has a very thin frame and a light build, though make no mistakes - he's pretty strong despite his small stature. His skin tone is a soft blend of light and dark, sticking closer to the lighter side; additionally, he has vitiligo. His eyes are a soft, light hazel in color, primarily the iconic shades of brown and green that his family has passed down for generations as well as a touch of pale blue. His hair is... rather interesting, to put it simply. It is various shades of blonde, dirty blonde, light brown, dark brown, an almost grayish color, and white all mixed together in a slightly overgrown crop of thick, wavy hair on top of his head. The sides are - fortunately - kept short so that it is able to be maintained (well, somewhat). He has quite a few scars, the most noticeable one being across the bridge of his nose from a show of rebellion gone wrong. uhhhh I think I included everything yes okay

Personality + Backstory: Jasper is... a mess. He was orphaned at a very young age after both of his parents died from the flu, leaving him to be placed in the hands of a new family, the semi-wealthy Lovells. However, he was not to be a son to this new family, but rather, a servant. His structured and hidden-from-the-world upbringing did a great number on his personality, making him rebellious, reckless, and eager to prove himself to people other than his family (if they can even be called that). He is very ambitious and will stop at nothing to get what he wants when the opportunity arises.

Other: He can teleport, a strange phenomena passed down through the generations of Cardens, though very few have ever actually possessed the ability to do so. Another thing worth mentioning is the bronze dagger that he carries with him in secret. The dagger was the one thing that he inherited from his parents; on her deathbed, his mother placed the blade in a locked box and left a handwritten note instructing her son's future caretakers to keep the box locked until his thirteenth birthday. Then, it was to be given to him to unlock. When he did so, he chose to not reveal the true nature of the box's contents to the Lovells, instead lying and telling them that there was nothing inside but a bit of money. The money, of course, had been his all along. The secret blade itself is arguably more odd than its origin, being made of a not-quite-bronze substance and giving off a weird vibe. Jasper once brought it to a spiritual expert on the outskirts of town, who warned the boy that it may be cursed. AND I'M DONE

Also, I'm aware that the ages are 15-20. Jasper doesn't care.

Name: Outlaw Blayton or Outlaw McCarty, she goes by either, depending on what one she feels like saying. XD

Age: She looks to be in her 18s

Physical Description: she's tall at 6'5, very thin, but with broader shoulders, and surprisingly strong for her appearance. Long dark blonde hair that falls to her waist, but she keeps it tucked behind her shirt. Ice blue eyes, and heavily tanned, countless amount of scars fill her whole body. She's also got a long scar that starts above her left eye, runs over her nose, directly under her right eye, and then disappears into her hair.

Personality: She's very suspicious, and tries to avoid human contact as much as possible. She's also like, extremellyyyy sarcastic however. You'll find out some of her powers, but one is she can talk to all animals and can control shadows, therefore manipulating them and cloaking herself to go unnoticed.

Other: She lives alone in a shack in the woods a lil out of town (of course).

Age: youngin

Physical Description: blake has medium length fair hair and genetically chalky skin, and is often covered in unnecessary plasters. she has dull blue eyes and a large brand or cut on the back of her right hand. it's almost familiar, but you can't put your finger on it.

Personality: think an almost gentle kaylee. she can be sharp and blunt, but people never stick around long enough to learn that.

Other: you feel unsafe around her. she looks at you like she knows you, but you've never seen her before. she doesn't look past you, but rather through you, and she laughs. she tells you things about yourself that you've never uttered allowed to anyone, ever. you sense that something is..... off, bout blake, but you're unsure what. you stay away from blake.

 shes ridiculously sensitive to people and i mean RIDICULOUSLY sensitive, she could probably sense most peoples bad intentions from the moment she set her eyes on them but more than that she can see pretty much everything about you, so any secrets or family history or past lives..... shes an incredible secret keeper, although that might be due to the fact that she's mute.... unsure. She also has a weird touchy thing but shes not entirely sure how that works, so someone be prepared to become her guinea pig.

Gender: Male

Age: Early 20's, late teens

Physical Description: He has a lean muscular build, standing around 6'3. He has a shadow-like appearance with his sun-kissed skin and his raven dark hair. Even the aura surrounding him has a darkened tint to it. The only light thing about him is his eyes: icy, almost silver orbits that peer at his surroundings ever so quietly. A sharp jawline and risen cheek bones, his face is more long than round. He is more of a subtle shadow than a human.

Personality: Cold and distant, he was never one to make friends around the village or even speak. He keeps within his own head as if that is the only person he can truly trust. Himself. He keeps himself from people or any contact in general, mental or physical. Not afraid of them, but maybe afraid for them. 

Other: His power is mysterious with a dark chill to it. Not even he could truly understand the truth of it or how far it could go. He never tried to summon his power and when it had taken over him anyway, he was afraid of himself.

Name: Tracks

Gender: Male

Age: Late teens

Physical Description: He has dark green hair that's often mistaken to be brown or black in the dark, and long, smooth light purple horns stemming from the front/top of his head. He has the same color "stains" around his eyes and across his nose, and a long tongue of the same color that is pointed on the end. (He's insecure about his horns sometimes but really likes his tongue lol.) He dresses in dull, natural colors. 
Personality: Tracks is a bit on an enigma: he tries to be inconspicuous since he doesn't like being judged on his physical appearance, but actually really likes having meaningful conversations and making people happy. He avoids making emotional connections and pretends to be aloof to hide his insecurities, but he actually is very friendly if someone talks to him sincerely. 
Other: His...unique...physical features resulted from an accident with some of his dad's potions when he was very young. His dad is super into potions and magic but isn't all that good at them. Tracks, however, has a fair amount of natural magical talent, with an affinity towards dark, offensive magic. He really enjoys studying the practice of magic and favors the art of manipulating sound and creating illusions.
