Torpid Void

Louis
"Thanks for the advice, Princess. And you can drop the irritated expression, I haven't quite killed anyone yet." Louis finished his water and set the empty container in the sink to deal with later. 

Aerow
Aerow wasn't at all sure what Louis meant by that, but the confusion let her mind twist it wrongly. She blinked, surprised, but didn't say anything. Instead, she dropped her eyes to the ground and stared at it thoughtfully.

Louis 
"Do you need anything?" Louis asked after he let a few awkward seconds slip by in silence. He bit back the snarky add-on he wanted to say. 

Aerow
"Oh, well. Let me go through my list." Aerow looked back up at Louis in irritation. "No, how could I ever need anything? My life is just so glorious and I got all the stuff I want."

Louis
"Why do I even try anymore?" Louis muttered, shifting his weight to his hands that were now behind him on the counter edge. "So, what do you want?"

Aerow
"Oh! Let me check my list!" Aerow continued to stare at him while she formed a paper-like substance from darkness, averting her eyes finally to study the blank page. "Uck, there's just so much. So much, so much.... how about some common knowledge from jerks?" She flicked the paper away to disappear into the air. "Also, you should keep a pretty close eye on Harper."

Louis
His fingers tightened on the counter, but his expression remained unchanged. "I plan on it." 

Aerow
"Chill, it's not like I have crazy minions running around tryna kill people." She shrugged. "Just warning you."

Louis
"I know. I'm working on fixing... whatever's going on." Louis glanced at the sink, mumbled something about alcohol, and looked back at Aerow. "Speaking of which, any pointers?" 

Aerow
"Uhh.... no... not really?" Aerow bit her lip, thinking about the entire situation. "Although I'm not sure you can fix it..."

Louis 
"Do I look like the kind of person who cares what I can and can't do? I'll come up with something." 

Aerow
Aerow shook her head, sighing. "If you say so."

Louis
"You doubt my willpower." Louis blinked as his vision swam for a moment. That definitely wasn't normal. The question was what the cause was. His vision cleared for a moment before his eyes fluttered closed and he slid to the floor. His headache flared back to life when his head tapped against the counter edge. So, maybe I shouldn't stack stress and a head injury on top of sleep deprivation.

Aerow
Aerow starred at Louis for a moment, looking up silently when Fay came into the room to see what the thump was. The girl rolled her eyes and left, saying as she did so, "Just leave him there." Aerow didn't know what else to do, considering she couldnt drag him to a more comfortable place, so she disappeared again to go doubt everything.

Silvestre
He dodged into an alley. Heavy footsteps followed him, and for a second he could feel the heat of their breathing on his neck. Silvestre turned and ran backward a few paces, making eye contact with one of the authorities and shooting him a finger gun and a wink before swiveling and sprinting away. Despite the sweat running down his back, Silvestre wasn't worried. In fact, he was enjoying himself, oddly enough. It'd been a few days since anything interesting had happened and he'd been bored.
