Torpid Void

Fayre
Fayre didn't reply, instead she rested her chin on her knees and watch Louis playing with the smoke curiously.

Louis 
I don't want any of this. Why couldn't I have just gone to sleep like normal and woken up in my apartment? I have a company to start, a sister to look out for, Tim to find... The tornado grew, then collapsed into itself, returning to a shapeless smoke. The smoke formed into a dandelion briefly before shifting into a storm cloud. "Rain" and "lightning" fell from it. Louis sighed and let the smoke disappear. 

Fayre
Fayre looked up at Louis when the smoke went away, looking as if she were expecting something, though she was just thinking.

Louis 
He walked out of the kitchen and down the hall to Harper's room. His glass was still where he had set it and he picked it up, returning to the kitchen and setting it down. "Okay, I'm done waiting. Explain." 

Fayre
"I just did," Fayre replied calmly. 

Louis 
"I still don't understand what significance the door holds." Five bucks she makes a comment of exasperation or on my idiocy or something, despite the fact I'm like seven years older than her. 

Fayre
Fayre blinked up at him. "Don't open it."

Louis 
"Alice, Rowan, and Mason are coming. The door needs to open eventually."

Fayre
"Then let them open it."

Louis 
"Why can't I open the door?" Louis looked over at the door in question. It appeared fine. 

Fayre
"Fine. Open the door if you want. I'm just telling you what Aerow is telling me. I try not to question her." Fayre closed her eyes and exhaled.

Louis 
"I never said I'd open it. I just want to know what the danger is." 

Fayre
Fayre spread her arms out in a I don't know. "Oh, Aerow, please tell me so I don't have to deal with this m- she said it's for your own good, there ya go."

Louis 
"Wow, so helpful." Louis sat on the lone couch in the living room. "You do realize that I, a curious person, am more likely to open it now that I've been told not to."

Fayre
"Oh she realizes it." Fayre flopped down on the floor, cushioning her head with her hands and closing her eyes.
