Torpid Void

Louis
"Is there a problem with the door?" Louis commented, sipping at his water. He was definitely hungry and at this point just drinking water to temporarily substitute food.

Fayre
"Yes, actually," she replied.

Louis
He hadn't been serious, so he hesitated before replying. "Care to share the issue, then?" 

Fayre
"Depends on whether you'd get mad if I told you to figure it out yourself," Fay retorted.

Louis
"Just tell me. I don't really feel like a guessing game right now." 

Fayre
She raised her eyebrows and sighed, muttering something under her breath. She rubbed her face with her hand as she spoke. "You know those one dudes I mentioned when I first came to help Harper? The dudes who learned to use the void in wrong and distorted ways."

Louis
"Yeah. What about them?" Louis glanced to the hall to make sure Harper was still in her room before creating smoke in his hand and just watching it. He was admittedly a bit restless.

Fayre
"It a- Igosh, willst du mich veräppeln?" Fayre shook her head and looked up at the ceiling. "They've been messing with Aerow. They want her. Or, the void... whatever you want to see it as. Regardless of how much reality doesn't acknowledge it, everything that Aerow is plays a huge part on earth. These people want to overthrow it, and they feel like the best ways to do that are by turning everyone here against Aerow. Especially you. They won't try it right now considering I'm here, but if they show up-" Fayre cut herself off, not wanting to push Louis around.

Louis
"That doesn't make sense." The smoke danced in the palm of his hand, and he kept his gaze on it. "Harper's supposed to be powerful, right? Wouldn't it make more sense to try and turn her against Aerow? Or actually, you, since you're supposed to be the 'next Aerow' or whatever." 

Fayre
"I- seriously I'm not supposed to speak in German cause Aerow hates it, but you are this close to making me- oh whatever." Fayre sighed miserably, slumping down against the wall and placing her forearms on her knees. "Yes, Harper's powerful. But in a way no one understands. I don't know if it's good or bad, and neither do these people. They have enough senses to not play with things they don't understand. I'm powerful, but I don't care if I live or die. They know I won't give them what they want. You, on the other hand, have a lot of power... and will. You're the first that I know of that asked Aerow to mentor you. Regardless of what you wanted it all for, you have some form of passion, and if they could warp your mind you could destroy this entire place, and half of the reality that you and me know in our world. Things wouldn't be the same there if they got ahold of Aerow."

Louis
Deep breaths, Louis. "Things just have to keep getting worse, don't they?" he muttered, running a hand through his hair. "What does this have to do with the door?" 

Fayre
"They like to- oh. Well, you'll probably figure out how to tell who is where and when they're there eventually, but they don't always take on human form. They're a lot like Aerow in the sense that they can... become one with the air?" Fayre shrugged. 

Louis
"So there's one here now? I don't understand what the door has to do with any of this."

Fayre
"It's polite to knock before entering a house."

Louis
"Okay, yeah, but what are you getting at?" The smoke in his hand grew bigger. He watched it just be smoke for a bit before creating a small tornado shape in his hand.
