What I came up with today [critique pls]

Today I was just playing around, trying out different techniques and colors, and I've always wanted to try making a rainbow character, so what I came up with today; 


I just gave a random name, I may change that. I know it's not great, so critique and comments are appreciated.
8Siren on dA did the lines :) They're Siren on EV. 
Does anybody like the odd marking on the back? I don't really know what I was doing when I did that. 
I quite possibly went overboard with the rainbow colors.

super pretty! i’ve always wanted a rainbow char and just got one from river the other day. the marking is personally too unrealistic in shape for my liking but if it were modified to be like a real paint marking i’d think everything about this is perfect! i also really love the rainbow outline and never thought to do a design like that so i’m getting some inspo from this(;

This is cute! As Wey said, the white marking is a little odd but I think if you make it like a more realistic paint markings (or even moved it to the back and made it into a blanket appy) it would look a bit better. I do like the rainbow rimming the white though, that's a cool touch :)

Very cute!! But agree with Eliza D. Perhaps turning the marking into something more realistic. I also love the name though. :)

I tried doing another more realistic marking. How do you guys think of it? Or was the other version better? Any things I should change?

I loved the first marking! I just would've added a couple more, maybe smaller markings so it doesn't look quite so out of place. I'm a sucker for anything unrealistic!

I think it’s cute! I always love a rainbow pony, I have a few myself. I like both markings. The original reminds of of when you melt crayons and they drip down. I agree with Syrien’s suggestion of maybe adding a couple more. The second marking is also cute. Good job!
